Fig. 2 eranschaulicht in gleicher Weise eine abgeänderte Ausführungsart.
PATENTANSPRLTCH I :
Method and device for the production of a tight closure secured against unauthorized opening on filled bags made of foldable material.
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a tight seal on filled bags, e.g. B. made of paper or similar foldable materials, and to secure the closure prevent unauthorized and unnoticed opening and reclosing of the bag.
It is known to close bags made of paper or the like in such a way that the end of the bag is laid flat or pressed and folded inwardly one or more times. and the resulting fold by stitching together using wire clips or eyelets or by folding in sheet metal or wire strips, the ends of which protruding from the sides are bent around the fold. To secure against reopening.
Since these precautions do not prevent unauthorized opening and reclosing of the bag, it has also been suggested that after the end of the bag have been folded over, a paper tape should be attached across the closure that is folded onto the top of the bag. Before the end of the bag is folded over, a paper strip folded over on both sides of the bag can be glued over it, with one half of this strip being given away with ends protruding over the seams of the bag, which is also folded in when the end of the bag is then folded over and then placed around the fold and glued on.
A strip shaped in this way represents a disproportionately expensive closure means compared to the value of the inherently cheap bag pack, since it has to be punched on a wide band, with useless waste being produced. Attaching the strip to the bag also makes sicle difficult.
The invention makes it possible, with extremely simple and inexpensive means, to create an unconditionally tight seal that secures the bag against unauthorized and unnoticeable opening and reclosing. You ka. can be used both for bags with side gussets that are near inwardly bent and for those bags whose side gussets are bent outwardly.
The method according to the invention consists in that the flattened end of the bag is folded over inwards at least once and the upstanding neck of the bag is pressed against it, and that a strip is glued around the so processed bag end so that through the strip both the folded end of the bag and also fold the sides are covered and sealed. In this way, a dielectric and secured against unauthorized opening and reclosing of the bag can be guaranteed.
The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing, for example.
Fig. 1 shows a diagrammatic illustration of the upper end of a bag after the flattened end of the bag has been folded over and the strip is glued around.
Fig. 2 likewise illustrates a modified embodiment.
3 shows a diagrammatic illustration of the bag closure after it has been folded over and glued onto the head end of the bag.
FIG. 4 also shows a top view of an exemplary embodiment of the device for feeding, cutting and pressing the strip against the folded end of the bag.
Fig. 5 shows schematically a view of the supply line for folding the strip around the folded bag end, and
Fig. 6 is a plan view of the same device with the parts in a different position.
According to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1 of the drawing, the flattened end 1 of the bag 4 is placed inward twice in such a way that the opening of the bag comes to lie in the upper bend of the fold. The bag end folded in this way is then pressed against the upright neck, the neck being provided, if necessary, with an application of adhesive 2 beforehand and glued to the bag end. The production of the fold and the application of the adhesive can be carried out by means known to the person skilled in the art, so that the person skilled in the art does not need to understand these devices. It is now a strip 3, z.
B. a paper strip, which is simply removed from a supply roll and cut off without any special finishing, placed around the folded end of the bag and glued on so that both the end of the closure fold and the side folds of the same are covered over.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the flattened end of the bag is folded over only once and otherwise this closure is made in the same way as for the embodiment according to FIG. l was described.
According to FIG. 3, the closure produced in the manner described above can be folded over onto the head side 5 of the bag - 4 and fixed by gluing, preferably in such a way that the side of the bag to which the two ends of the strip 3 are glued is closed is glued to the top of the bag. These activities can also be carried out by means that are known and used by the Faehmann online and therefore do not require any special description or illustration.
According to # Fig. 4 of the accompanying drawing, the strip to be wrapped around the folded end of the bag and to be glued is cut from a continuous strip 20 of paper or the like, which is pulled off a supply roll 21, each time by one the length of the strip 3 - talking stiiek. This pulling off of the tape 20 from the supply roll 21 takes place by means of a slide carriage 34 which can slide back and forth on a fixed rail 35.
The shifting of the slide 34 takes place in a known manner by a linkage 6 which is actuated and controlled by an eccentric gear (not shown). The linkage 6 engages an angle lever 28 which is rotatably mounted on the bed slide at 29 and which carries a roller 25. When the carriage is moved to the right in FIG. 4, the roller 25 automatically pushes the end of the belt 20 against an abutment 7, e.g. B. a rubber plate so that the end of the tape is held and pulled by the carriage to the right. In the right end position, the end of the tape is grasped and held by a gripper 8.
While the tape is being pulled off, it is guided by rollers 22, 23 and 24. The circumference of the roller 23 is provided with moisture in a known manner, so that the adjacent side of the tape provided with an adhesive coating is also moistened and thus made adhesive. The roller 23 could also be used to apply adhesive to the tape 20 in a likewise known manner.
In the preferred position of FIG. 4, the tape is grasped by a punch 9, which can be moved back and forth by known means, and at the same time the tape is cut to the desired length by a cutting device 12 of a known type released by the gripper. The punch 9 conveys the cut strip 3 against the bag end 1, which is folded inwardly in the manner shown above and which is supported on a suitable abutment 11 so that the cut strip 3 against the folded bag end is pressed and glued.
The plunger 9 is expediently designed as a suction device in that it is hollow and connected to a suction air source, the suction air supply being controlled by known means. After the end of the tape has been gripped by the gripper 8 and before the end of the tape has been cut off, the slide carriage 34 has been moved back into its initial position in FIG. After the strip 3 is pressed against the end of the bag 1, the suction plunger 9 goes back and the described work game repeats itself.
The bag with the glued-on strip is now brought to the position shown in FIG. 5, on which the ends of the strip 3 protruding on both sides are first folded over the side edges of the bag end 1 by 90 ". In the exemplary embodiment shown, this is used a folding slide 27 which can be moved back and forth with the two folds 13a, with which a resiliently arranged pressing plate 30 cooperates.
On the side of the bent end 1 opposite the folder 27, there are arranged an abutment 14 and a press ram 15 which can be moved back and forth with two expediently heated press jaws 15a. When the bag is in contact with the work position shown in FIG. 5, the pressure ram 15 is in the advanced position of FIG. 5, so that the end of the bag is supported by the abutment 14 and the pre-arms 15a.
Now the folder 27 together with the resilient pressure plate 30 is advanced from the starting position not shown, the plate 30 pressing the strip 3 together with the end of the bag resiliently against the abutment 14 and prebacks 15a and the folding members 13a of the folder 27 the protruding ends 16 of the strip 3 fold around the side edges of the folded bent end 1 by 90.
The folder 27 is then pulled back so far (see. Fig. 6) that the plate 30 noell continues to press resiliently against the strip 3 and bag end 1, and the ram 15 is pulled back so far that the ends 16 of the strip 3 can be completely placed around the end of the bag by the folders 17 according to FIG. After the folders 17 have returned, the press ram 15 is advanced again so that the folded-over strip ends are pressed onto the bag end by the pre-jaws 15a.
The actuation of the eccentric gear for the linkage 6, the gripper 8 and the cutting device 12, the movements of the punches 9 and 15 and the folders 17 and 27, the pre-lifting of the bags and the control of the suction air supply take place automatically via devices that are driven by a common drive shaft be motor-driven.
PATENT APPLICATION I:
A method for producing a tight seal, secured against unauthorized opening, on filled bags made of foldable material, characterized in that the flattened end of the bag is folded inwards at least once and pressed against the upright neck of the bag, and around the so processed bag end a strip is glued in such a way that both the folded bag end and its side folds are covered and sealed by the strip.
