Machine for printing the dials. The present invention relates to a machine for printing the dials; this machine is characterized by at least one table presenting (the locations intended to receive respectively a cliché and. at least titi dial, by titi slide mounted above this table so as to be able to perform a translation parallel thereto. , this slide carrying two pins perpendicular to the table and movable axially.,
one carrying a titi inking device, the other carrying a pressure pad, the whole. so that in one position of the slider the printing pad is located above the location of the dial and the inking device substantially above the location of the click and that in the a-Liter position of the slide, the ink pad is placed above the location of the cliché,
the inking of the cli- ehé taking place during the translation of the slide, the inking of the stamp as well as the printing (the dial each being effected by an axial movement of the spindle carrying the stamp,. 'it is located respectively above the location of the cliché and above the location of the dial.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object. of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view, with partial section, of the machine, and fig. 2 is a section taken along line II-II of fig.l. The machine shown comprises a frame formed of a base plate 1 carrying four columns 2 on which is mounted an upper plate 3. The base plate 1 carries two tables, one fixed 4, intended to receive a cliché 5, the other rotary 6, having two claws 7 for fixing dials 8-. , A slide 9 moves on the plate 3, parallel to the tables 4 and 6.
This slide - carries a cylinder 10 within which is disposed a fixed piston 11, carried by a rod 12 fixed by screws 13 to supports 14 carried by the plate 3. The cylinder 10 is mounted on each of its ends in the support 15, respectively 16, carried by the slide 9. The supports 15 and 16 each carry a pipe 17, respectively 18, making it possible to bring oil under pressure into the cylinder, on one side or on the other side. the other of the piston 11, which produces the movements of the slide 9 in the direction of arrow 19.
It should be noted that one. damper device brakes the slide 9 shortly before it reaches the end of its. race. This damping device comprises two extensions 11a of the piston 11, located on either side of the latter.
These extensions each penetrate, at the end of the travel of the slide, into a cavity 20 made in the supports 15 and 16, which closes the main orifice for escaping the fluid which can no longer escape. only by a secondary orifice partially closed by a needle screw 21. The braking can be adjusted by moving this screw.
The slider 9 carries two vertical pins 22 and 23, perpendicular to the plane of the tables 4 and 6, moving axially and each carrying a piston 24, respectively 25, moving in a cylinder 26, respectively 27, carried by the slide 9. A tubu lure 28, respectively 29, allows to send pressurized oil in @each of the cylinders to move the pins 22 and 23 downwards, against return springs 30, respectively. 31, each surrounding one of the pins.
The spindle 22 carries the printing pad 32, while the spindle 23 carries, at its lower end, an inking device comprising a reservoir 33 for the ink and a blade 34 inclined relative to the plane of the table. 4 and whose lower edge is. parallel to this table. Each spindle also carries a disc 35, respectively 36 :, in which is fixed a rod 37, respectively 38, passing through the slide 9 and preventing the spindles from turning on themselves.
The machine shown operates in the following way: the reservoir 33 is filled with ink and the plate 5 is. placed on the table 4. Two dials 8, not printed, are placed in the claws 7 on the table 6. Pressurized oil is sent, by means of a distributor not shown, into the cylinder 2 through the tubing 18. The slide 9 then moves to the right of fig.l until the pin 23 occupies the position shown in dotted lines. The oil is then sent to cylinders 26 and 27, causing pins 22 and 23 to descend.
The tam pon 32 is then located above the plate 5 with which it comes into contact, thus becoming impregnated with ink. The spindle 22 is raised while leaving the spindle 23 in its lower position and the slide 9 moves to the left of fig.1. During this movement, the blade 34 sweeps the cli elié 5 and the ink coating. When the slide has reached the end of its stroke, the spindle 22 is lowered, and, the stamp then being situated above one of the dials 8, it prints the latter.
We then raise the pins and return: the slide to the right in fig.1. During this movement, we rotate the. table 6 by a half turn to bring the other dial in place of the first one, this one is removed and it is replaced by a new unprinted dial. The table is prevented from turning by a latch 39, operated by a lever 40, which allows it to be released and, to engage it in notches 47 made in the table 6.
