Window. The present invention relates to a window which can pivot on three of its sides, for example on the two uprights and on the lower cross member of its frame.
According to the invention, this window is characterized by a frame provided with two cracks, one per upright of the frame, the ends of which are engaged, when the window is closed, in two lower yokes, and in two upper yokes fixed to a window frame, the lower cross member of the frame being spaced from the lower cross member of the frame, thanks to the fact that the lower rods of the two cracks each have a stop resting on the corresponding keeper, all in such a way that by actuating one or the other of the cremones to release its rods from the corresponding strikes, the frame is supported by the other rod and can be opened, the rods playing the role of pivots, while '' by simultaneously activating the two cre mones,
the release of the upper rods and at the same time the lowering of the frame is obtained, the lower keeps being arranged in such a way to allowing the tilting of the frame inwards, a retaining mechanism limiting the magnitude of this shift.
The appended drawing represents, by by way of example and in a schematic manner, a preferred embodiment of the window forming the object of </ B > invention.
Fig. 1 is an interior side elevation view of the window, while fig. 2 is a sectional view, along line II-II of FIG. 1, and fig. 3 a section along the line III-III of fig. L Fig. 4 is a plan view of an upper striker of the window closing device and FIG. 5 a section along the line, V-V of this fig. 4.
Figs. 6 and 7 are respectively an elevation view and a plan view of the lower striker and closure device.
Fig. 8 is a section along the line VIII-VIII of fig. 1, and fig. 9 a front view, from the part shown to in fig. 8.
Figs. 10 and 11 are sections along lines X-X and XI-XI respectively of FIG. 1.
The window shown comprises a rectangular frame 1 for double glazing and a window frame 2. The two uprights 9 and 10 of the frame of the window are each provided with a cremone 3, respectively 4, including the #; sliding rods 6, 6 ', respec tively 7, 71 are embedded in the corresponding upright and emerge from it at both ends. The ends of the upper rods 6 ' and 7' of the cremones are square while the ends of the lower rods 6 and 7 </ B> are cylindrical and are engaged, when the window is closed, in the upper keeps 11 ' and 12' and in the lower keeps 11 and 12 fixed to supervision 2.
The profiles of the sides of the frame 1 and, of the frame 2 as well as the dimensions of the two parts are established so that, when the window is closed, the lower cross member 13 < / B> of the frame is spaced, in height, about one centimeter from the lower cross member 15 of the frame and that the frame 1 </ B > can slide vertically in the frame.
The ends of the lower rods 6 and 7 of the cremones each have a collar 16, respectively 1.7, the distance of the flange of the end of the rod being slightly less than the length of the stroke of this rod. The flanges 16 and 17, forming stops, bear, when the window is closed, on the keeps 11 and 12. The arrangement described allows . open the window to right or to left, the rods 6, 6 ' or 7 , 7 " playing the role of pivots.
To open the window to the right , for example, actuate the left-hand gear 3 to release the ends of the rods 6 and < B> 6 ' of the corresponding strikes 1.1 and 111, and we drag to the window that turns around the axis rods 7 and 7 ', the ends of which pivot in the keeps 12 and 12'. The maneuver for opening to the left is. the same, except that Pon actuates the right-hand gear 4.
The upper striker (fig. 4, 5 and 10) includes a base plate 41 on which are fixed two brackets 42, two wings of which face each other in parallel and enclose , by means of two lock washers 43, a flange 44 carried by a bush 45 whose ends are pivoted in two holes made in the wings facing the brackets 42. Two nuts 47 make it possible to adjust the tightening exerted on the collar 44.
The socket 45 has a square hole 46 whose dimensions are to just greater than than those of the square end of the rods 6 ' and V. These keeps thus constitute a hinge with a braking device keeping the window open in the desired position. The lower orifice of the hole 46 of the socket 45 is flared to facilitate the entry of the rod 6 ' or 7. To allow the window to be opened by tilting it towards the bottom, the 11 and 12 strikes are constructed in a special way.
They each include a yoke 18 fixed by its base to 1 using screws to frame 2 in the way that its cheeks < B> 19 are in a vertical plane; these cheeks 19 each have a hole serving as a bearing for two journals 20 of a block 21 pierced with a -hole 23 perpendicular < B> at the axis of the journals 20 and serving as a bearing at the end of the lower rod 6, respectively 7, </ B > cremone bolt.
The block 21 is mounted with friction hard in the yoke 18 so as to keep its position after the extraction of the rod 6 or 7 when opening to right or to left of the window, so that the end of this rod can to again enter the hole 9-3, whose upper hole is flared, when closing.
To tilt the window, simultaneously actuate the two cremones 3 and 4, which has the effect of releasing the rods 6 ' and 7' </ B > the cremones of the keepers 11 ' and 12' and to lower the frame 1 thanks to the clearance existing between the lower cross member 15 of the frame and the lower cross member 1-3 of the frame, the lower rods 6 and 7 remaining engaged in the blocks 21 of the corresponding yokes 11 and 12.
It is obviously necessary to limit the tilting angle of the window. A For this purpose, it is provided with a retaining mechanism comprising, in this example, two stop devices, one of which is to left and one to right of the frame, each comprising one part fixed to the frame 1 and the other mounted in one of the uprights of frame 2 (fig. 8 and 9). Each window stop device includes a hook 30 </ B> fixed laterally to the upright 10 of the frame and the spout of which is directed downwards and is located in line with an opening made in a sliding bar 31 projecting out of a 33 plate attached to the frame upright.
In a recess that this mon so presents behind this plate 33, takes place -a bracket 32 integral with the plate 33 and carrying a roller < B> 35 on which is. coiled a cable 34 which is fixed, to one of its ends, to the sliding bar 31 and, to </ B > the other end, to a spring, not shown, housed in the lower part of the upright of the frame.
When maneuvering the two cremones, the frame, as has just been said, is lowered and, as a result, the beak of the hook 30 engages in the opening of the bar 31 which it carries with it by stretching the spring to which the cable 34 is attached. Using a spring working at, the compression, the bottom stop is achieved only when the res comes out is completely compressed and a fall of the frame is avoided in the event of the spring breaking. .
The arrangement described for opening the window on three sides presents a particular advantage in the case of double-glazed windows fitted with a louver. metal mesh 48 placed between the two panes 49 and 50, because it allows the window to be opened for ventilation without destroying the effect of the jealousy - interception solar rays - whatever the direction of these rays with respect to . the facade of the building provided with such a window.
We see in fig. 1 a 5 ' crank serving to roll and unwind the cables on which the slats 48 are mounted. The mechanism, not shown, is housed inside the upright 10 of the frame.
The upper clevis could be constituted by a simple square drilled with a cylindrical hole in the event that the braking of the window is not desired - the end of the the upper rod would then also be cylindrical.
