Fig. 4 eine Vorderansicht des Sessels nach Fig.1.
Seating. The invention relates to a piece of seating furniture which is partially formed by a shell-like body which consists of at least one plate, which is at least partially bent to form a regular surface. It is. characterized in that the shell-like body forms the backrest. and with. lateral fastening tab is provided, which fen the seat plate Untergrei and with. the same are connected.
In the drawing, some Ausfüh approximately examples of the invention are shown. Fig. 1 is. a diagrammatic view of an armchair, FIG. 2 a diagrammatic view of the Ge stand for this purpose, FIG.
FIG. 4 is a front view of the chair according to FIG. 5 is a diagrammatic front view of another embodiment, FIG. 6 is a diagrammatic view of the shell-like body which forms part of the chair according to FIG. 5, FIG. 7 is a plan view of a starting piece made of plate-shaped material, which is used for the production of the body according to Fig. 6,
Fig. 8 is a diagrammatic rear view of the sebalum-like body, similar to that of FIG. 6, but which is used as a frame for an upholstered seating furniture, Fig. 9 is a diagrammatic rear view, but it is again an upholstered furniture, and Fig. 10 is a view of the section along the line 11-11 in FIG. 9, on a larger scale.
In Figures 1, 2 and 4, the frame carrying the seat 20 of the chair is denoted by 22. The frame 22 has two lateral Bü gel 24 and 26 which are connected by cross bars 28 with each other.
The seat plate 20 is fastened to the frame 22 by means of screws or the like, where holes 30 are provided for in this. The screws going through the holes 30 of the frame 22 simultaneously hold a shell-like body 32, which is thereby also connected to the seat plate 20.
This shell-like body 32 consists of a backrest 34, the two armrests 36 and 38 and fastening tabs 40 and 42 which clasp the seat plate 20 and lie against the underside of the same. The shell-like body 32 is provided with a rear opening 44 in the region of its center. The rear part of the seat plate 20 extends through this recess 44 and protrudes beyond it. The cup-like body 32 has on all. Make the same thickness.
The shell-like body 32 is designed in such a way that the surface of each of its various sections adjoining the recess 44 is determined by a straight generating line, G, regardless of whether the individual section, e.g. B. the back rest 34, arched or whether he, z. B. on the upper support surface of the armrests 36 and 38, is substantially flat. Therefore, the upper surface of the shell-like body 32 is free of spherical curvatures at all points, that is, those whose cross-section does not represent a straight line in any direction.
In the example shown, all of the G starting from the edge of the opening 44.
The shell-like body 32 of the armchair shown in Figures 1 and 4 can be made of two starting pieces 32a and 32b of plate material, which are shown in Fig. 3 as. The plate material can consist of a plastic plastic, of flexible wood, of metal or of any other flexible material. The starting pieces 32a and 32b are bent into the desired shape of the shell-like body 32 in a suitable shape.
After this deformation of the output pieces 32a and 32b, the edges 46a and 16b on the one hand and the edges 48a and 48b on the other hand. The sections 34a and 34b form the backrests, while the sections 38a and 36b represent the armrests and the sections 42a and 40b form the fastening tabs of the shell-like body 32. In the finished body 32, the touching edges 46a and 46b on the one hand and 48a and 48b on the other hand are connected to one another at the seams 46 and 48, respectively.
These connections can be made by mechanical means such as screws, by using adhesives such as glue in the case of thermoplastic material, by a fusion process or in any other way.
The starting pieces 32a and 32b can also be brought into the desired shape by bending their various sections, one after the other, using suitable means, for example over a mandrel.
The neck-like body 32 can, however, also be obtained by introducing plastic material into a mold of suitable shape. In this case a closed one-piece body is obtained.
When the sehalen-like body 32 with. With the help of beginnings. The starting pieces can also be cut so that on the finished shell-like body these starting pieces are only connected to one another at the seam 46 and that between the edges 48a. and 48b of the enclosing flaps 42 and 40 of the finished body leaves a space between them.
Instead of the above-mentioned Sehrau benbefestigung the seat 20 on the frame 22, which also holds the shell-like body 32 firmly, another connection can also be selected. in which the latter for you by any means, e.g. B. especially Sehrau ben or adhesives attached to the seat 20. In addition, instead of the frame 22, four individual legs of a suitable shape for carrying the seat 20 can be provided.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the armchair has a seat 120 which is supported by a frame 122. A sehalen-like body 132 is connected to the seat 120 in some manner, e.g. B. with the help of an adhesive or not. drawn visual staves, connected.
The shell-like body 132 comprises a backrest 7.34 and fastening tabs 1.10 Lund 142, which can be connected to one another at the seam 148. These tabs 1.40 and 142 encompass the seat 1.20 and rest on its underside.
In the embodiment of FIG. 5 engages. the rear part of the seat 120 through a rear opening 144 of the neck-like body 132 and protrudes beyond this. The halter-like body 132 has and is essentially the same throughout. free of spherical bulges. This body has. no armrests.
Like from the Pig. 5 and 6, the neck-like body 132 is provided with outwardly sewn bulges 150; because more seating space is created between the sections 152 and 154 of the neck-like body for the user of the chair. In addition, these bulges 150 reinforce the body 132.
The shell-like body is made from a starting piece 132a of flexible plate material (Figure 7). After the initial piece 132a has been bent in a mold, its edges 148a and 148b come into contact with one another. The section. 134a forms the backrest 134, and the linear axis 140a and 142a. result in the fastening tabs 140 and 142.
The starting piece from which the bowl-like body is bent has. a cutout whose inner edges differ from the outside. At the end of the latter, approach each other first from the edge inwards, then in the second part see away from each other and then in the third part approach each other again and finally merge. When the @ * rebogene body, the first-mentioned parts of the edges of the cutout face each other, while the remaining edge parts of the cutout limit the rear opening of the body.
Of course, the shell-like body 132 can also be designed in such a way that an interspace remains between the fastening tabs 140 and 142 so that the latter straighten the entire lower surface of the seat.
The body 132 can also be produced in any other desired manner, for example as described above in connection with the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 4. This is also the case in the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6. the surface of the different sections of the body 7.32 is determined by straight lines.! @ f'n @ le. As a result, the body 132 has no spherical bulges at any point.
This design greatly facilitates the upholstery of the armchairs because then no gussets are required.
In the embodiments according to FIGS. 8 to 7 0, the shell of the padding, for. B. a fabric 156, in the form of a cover applied to the shell-like body 132 . These covers enclose the shell-like body and a layer of foam rubber 158 or other suitable cushioning material that is glued onto the inner surface of the body 132. The cover can be closed by zip fasteners 160, 162 and 164. Of course, these zip fasteners can be attached in the most varied of ways; other types of sealing means for holding the cover 156 in place can also be provided.
As can best be seen from Fig. 10, is. the seat 120 is upholstered in the same way. The shell-like body 132 is connected to this seat by screws 166 which go through holes in the frame 122 and so the seat connec to the frame. Of course, the chair according to FIGS. 5, 6 and 9 can also be seen with single legs. In addition, the Ausbuch lines 150 (Fig.5 and 6) can also be omitted.
Finally, if desired, the armchair according to FIGS. 1 and 4 can be provided with upholstery, and this upholstery can, since the body 32 is free of spherical curvatures, also be applied to the body 32 in the form of a cover that is turned over.
