Additional patent to main patent no. 28.94151.
Device for generating a gas stream loaded with an abrasive. The subject of the main patent is a process and a device for generating a gas flow loaded with an abrasive. The device according to the invention according to the main patent has a nozzle; a source of compressed gas, a conduit connecting the gas source to the nozzle, a valve for controlling the flow through the conduit, a container for the abrasive, a device for introducing the abrasive into the conduit and means for vibrating the container on.
The present invention relates to a further development of the device described in the main patent.
The device according to the invention is characterized by at least two containers for holding powdery grinding medium or a further powdery working medium, by a device for supplying working medium from each container into a line which connects the nozzle with the gas source, with the feed device has a vibrator for each container, and a selector control device which allows only one of the vibrators to be activated at a given time.
Areas of application of the device according to the invention are, for example, light deburring work, removal of surface coverings such as metallic films on glass and ceramic surfaces, cutting and grinding of extremely hard and / or brittle materials, A1, outside, drilling holes in thin profiles, cleaning of diamond stones, cleaning of freshly cast gold seals, bridges and prostheses, roughening of surfaces to be united in order to increase the adhesion,
Porcelain teeth grinding and rust removal from carbon steel instruments.
An example embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in the drawing.
In the drawing, the handle for the nozzle 11 is labeled 10 . The mixture consisting of compressed gas flow and powdery working medium flows through the handle and passes through the very small nozzle 11. The construction of this handle preferably corresponds to the construction explained in the main patent.
The gas, preferably carbon dioxide, which carries the powdered substance, comes from a suitable container 12, for example a tank or cylinder, and arrives at the handle and the nozzle through a conduit 1.3 made of rubber pipes which contains three separate flow paths in a parallel arrangement, which are indicated in the drawing by the reference lines 13, a, 13b, 13c.
These parallel flow paths branch out from the main line 13 on the container side at point 14 and, on the handle side, unite again to form the main line 13 at point 15. The cylinder 12 usually contains carbon dioxide, with a pressure of approximately 7.03 at. At room temperature, and this pressure is maintained as long as liquid carbon dioxide is still in the Zy - linder is located. However, this pressure is too high for most of the processing cases mentioned, so that a pressure regulator 16 in the line 13 in the vicinity of the cylinder shut-off valve 17 </ B > is ordered.
A measuring instrument 18 for pressure display is connected to the controller 16 .
The working pressure of the device can vary over a considerable range and of course the pressure at the nozzle 11 is important. For most purposes of the supply line it has been shown that this pressure should be in the range of -5.95 at, however, at the nozzle with pressures of 2.35 at up to approximately 14.06 at can be worked.
However, in this context it is interesting to note that an increase in the working pressure above 5.96 at the nozzle results in a very small change in the grinding effect of the gas-abrasive mixture If the other conditions remain the same, of course.
With regard to the lower pressure range, that is to say 5.95 at, it should be noted that certain operations are preferably carried out in this range, for which reason a regulator 19 limiting the gas pressure is used, which is connected to the line 13 by means of a parallel branch line 1,3 '.
Since it is impractical to mount a measuring instrument or a regulator for the gas pressure in the vicinity of the nozzle, for example on the handle 10 , the regulators 1-6 and should be used instead B> 19 provided for the pressurized gas tank, but the pressures that are maintained by these regulators are of course influenced by the pressure drop in the line between the regulators and your handle. A number of factors have an impact on this, for example the length and diameter of the line and the pressure absorption in the mixers and in the pinch valves, which will be described later.
For example, it has been found that this pressure drop between the regulator and the nozzle is on average between 2.45 and 2.8 at. For a pressure of 5.95 at the nozzle, for example, the regulator 16 must be set to approximately 8.4 to 9.1 at. If a pressure of approximately 2.1 at at the nozzle is required, then of course the regulator 19 must be set to 4.55 to 5, 3 at.
If the pressure minimum is desired, the pinch valve 20 is used in the part of the line 13 parallel to the line branch 13f in order to close the latter and the bypass path 13 'via the regulator 19 , which is set so that a pressure of 4.55 to 5.3- at results. The above numbers are only examples, as the pressure drop can change over a wide range depending on the embodiment of the device. When the valve is closed, the line passage is clamped using the valve '20.
When the valve 20 around which the secondary line 1.3 'runs is open, a pressure of 8.4 to 9.1. At from the regulator 1-6 can be reached via the line 13 come to a pressure-operated control switch 2.1. When the valve 20 closes the duct 13, , the gas flows through the low-pressure leech regulator 19, , preferably to 4.55 to 5.3, < / B> at is set. By opening or closing the valve 20 it is thus possible to use one of the two pressure areas as is just desired, although other pressures can also be achieved within the given limits.
The device explained in the following description is suitable for the use of two different powdery working media, but it is of course possible to design the device for the use of more than two such working media.
A grinding powder is received by a container 22 of a first mixer and a cleaning powder is received from the container 23 of another exactly identically designed mixer. Since the two mixers are identisel-1, only one of them is described in detail with the container 23 together with its associated equipment for feeding its working medium into the line 130.
The mixer consists essentially of a container 23 with a funnel-shaped bottom part 24 which opens into the mixing chamber 26 via a perforated plate 25. The plate 95 is provided with a series of small openings, as described in the main patent for this purpose. - One side of this mixer Assigned passage 13c leads the gas into the small mixing chamber 2,6, and the Miseli-Lin, - from gas and powder is then through the other side of the passage 13e to Connection point 115 and from there to handle 10 in the manner already described.
Both sides of the passage 13, e, that is to say the side which leads pressurized gas into the mixing chamber 26 , and the side which the mixture from the chamber 26 < / B> are simultaneously either closed or opened by means of a double-armed pinch valve 2,7 , which is normally pressed by the spring 28 into the position that clamps the line passages. According to the drawing, the two sides of the passage 13e are closed, so that no gas enters the mixing chamber 26 and no working medium from the mixer enters the line 13 can reach.
In this #position, the microswitch 29 influenced by the valve 27 is open, so that there is no current to the electromagnetic vibration device 30 for the mixer can flow.
The mixer is attached to the table 31 , which is carried by the legs 32 inclined to the vertical. If the electromagnetic pre-roll 30 is actuated, it shakes the table 31 and thus the mixer container 23. This lets the powder out Containers 23 fall down through the perforated plate 25 into the mixing chamber 26 , where it is absorbed by the gas flow as it passes through the mixing chamber 26 flows.
The mode of operation of the vibrator of this type is known to those skilled in the art, which is why a further description does not appear necessary. It should be noted, however, that the operation of the mixer and the vibrator are explained in the main patent.
The container 23 is airtight and sealed at the top by means of a lid 33 , which is screwed on against a seal 34 or can be fastened in some other way. The lid can be removed when the container 23 is to be filled, in which case the pressure in the container is reduced to atmospheric pressure by opening the pinch valve 35 that connects the relief line > 36 of the mixer controls. Of course, the sealing cover 33 must not be removed until the passage 13e has been closed by the valve 27 .
In order to equalize the pressure in the container 23 and in the mixing chamber 26 as quickly as possible after the container has been filled, the equalizing tube 3, 7 extending upward from the mixing chamber is provided, which protrudes into a recess 3.8 on the underside of the cover 36 . The upper end of the tube 37 is sealed to prevent the powder from accidentally falling into the calibration tube when the container is filled. Lateral openings 39 near the top of the tube provide a passage for the: gas from the inside of the tube to the inside of the container at a point above the powder level.
The cross-sectional area of the equalizing tube is several times larger than that of the passage 13e, so that the pressure in the mixing chamber 26 and in the space of the container 23 above the Powder is almost balanced at all times so that the feed speed of the powder into the mixing chamber is not disturbed.
The vibrating device for the other mixer with the container 9, 2, and this itself are exactly the same, so that a description is superfluous. It should only be mentioned that the corresponding parts of the container 22 are identified with the same reference characters, but provided with a line.
The parallel line 13a is controlled by a pinch valve 40, which is pressed by a spring 41 into its closing position to be clamped in the line passage. By pressing down the valve yoke 42, the valve 40 can be opened.
The valves 2-7, 27 and 40 are controlled by a control device with a selector element 43, which has a Noeke 413 'and can be rotated, the cam only with one of these valves at a given point in time Intervention can come. In the position shown in the drawing, the Noeke 43 "assumes a position in which it holds the valve 2ri 'open, whereby the two other valves, namely 27 and 40, remain closed.
When the selector member opens the valve 27 ', the microswitch 29' is closed so that current can flow to the electromagnetic vibration device 30f that controls the table 3, 1, 'and the container 22 sitting on it begins to shake. The grinding powder is then fed into the mixing chamber, which is not designated, but which corresponds exactly to chamber 26, where it emerges from the parallel passage 13b connected to the selector element 43 Gas is picked up and carried to the handle 10 .
Between the point 16 of the connecting line 13 and the handle 110 there is a further pinch valve 44 for controlling the passage through the line 113 provided. This valve should be attached as close to the handle as is practically possible, on the length of the line 13 between the valve 44 and the handle 10 so.
briefly as possible and thereby the amount of powder that remains in the line 1.3 between 4.4 and 10 when the valve 44 is closed on the the lowest possible value, so that when this valve is reopened, a large amount of powder cannot suddenly escape, which would otherwise be the case as a result of previous use of the device.
The valve 44 is then normally pressed the spring 45 into its closed position, which clamps the line passage, and opened when the magnetic coil 46 is excited.
The device described is electrically operated and controlled in the following manner: The current is drawn from a 110-volt AC line 47-48, with a main switch 49 for closing and opening the circuit that leads to the device is provided.
If the pressure in the line 13 is correct, this closes its electrical switch 21a via the control switch 21, whereupon the current reaches the foot holder 50, via the line wire 47a, if the main switch 49 is closed. Via the foot switch, the current reaches the coil 46 through the wire 51 and returns through the wire 48a to the main switch 49 and the power line 47-48 back.
At the same time, the current can reach one or the other of the vibrators 30, 30 ', which depends on whether the valve 27 or the valve 27 with the selector element 43 of the control device 'was opened.
In the drawing, the pinch valve 27 is open, so that the current flows from the wire 51 via the wire 52 to the vibrator 307, from which it returns via the wire 53 and the microswitch 2,9 ', which is closed when the valve 27' is open, what has already been described.
By following the vibrator circuit, it can be seen that the current from switch 2-91 through wire 54 and wire 515 to resistor 56 and the rectifier 57 and from there flows over the wire 58 into the main line wire 48a.
If the selector member 43 is rotated so that the pinch valve 27 opens, then. the circle for the other vibrator 30 is closed via the following path, whereby the M, micro switch 29 is closed in this case. The current flows from the wire, 52 through wire 59 to vibrator 80 and then through wire # 60 to switch 29 </ B> and from the switch 29 through the wire 61 "that meets the wire 55 , which leads to the resistor 56 and to the rectifier 57 leads.
The circuit is then completed, as before, by wire 58 returning to main lead wire 48a.
A voltmeter 6.2 is connected to the electric circuits for the vibrators by means of wires 63 and 64; the voltage at the vibrator circuits can be changed by means of the resistor 56.
The rectifier 57 generates a pulsating direct current for the vibrator magnets with a frequency of 3600 : vibrations per minute with a # 60-I-Iz, power source. It has been found to be expedient to use an aligner because without it the thief frequency, namely 7200, would be too high for the best effect when feeding the powder into the gas flow.
The device is operated as follows: The gas valve 17 is opened so that gas is brought into the line system under pressure, and the manually operated valve 2.0 is either opened or closed, depending on the maximum pressure required. When the valve 20 is open, the regulator 116 becomes effective, and according to the examples given earlier in this description, it is set so that a pressure of 8.4 to 9.1 < / B> at arises.
If a lower pressure is desired, the valve 20 is closed, whereupon the regulator 19 also begins to act and the pressure: to a maximum value of 4.55 to -5.3 </ B > at regulates. In each case, pressurized gas then enters line 13, and its pressure is sufficient to close switch 21a, so that the electrical circuit comes into effect if the main switch is activated 49 and the foot switch 5.0 are closed.
If for any reason the pressure is insufficient, the switch 21a remains open so that none of the electrical devices can operate.
The powder to be used is selected by turning the selector member 42 in order to open one or the other of the squeeze valves 2,7 and 27. If a dragging operation is to be carried out, the valve 27 'is opened by moving the cam 43' into the position shown in the drawing.
At the same time, the switch 219 ' is closed so that the current can reach the vibrator 3V , whereupon grinding powder is fed from the container 22 to the line 1.3b.
At the same time as the preceding, the squeeze valve 44 is opened so that the mixture of gas and powder is fed to the handle 10 and finally to the nozzle 11 . . < / B> i By opening and closing the foot holder 50 , the gas flow can be turned on or off easily and almost without delay, which is a very important point for correct work with the device. represents.
The amount of the abrasive powder to be supplied to the gas flow can be adjusted by means of the resistance 5,6 . The higher the voltage applied to the vibrator, the greater the amplitude of the oscillation and the greater the amount of powdery working medium that is fed into the gas stream.
In order to supply cleaning powder to the gas flow instead of iSehleif- powder, the selector element is turned so that instead of the pinch valve 27 ' the valve 27 is opened, whereupon exactly the same operating process together with your vibrator 30 proceed as it was just described in connection with the vibrator 30 '.
Before switching from Christmas powder to cleaning powder, however, it is necessary to disconnect the line between the point 1.5 and the handle 10 or the nozzle 11 < / B> to be cleaned from the grinding powder. This is done by turning the selector member so that the pinch valve 40 opens. Gas can thus flow through the parallel line 13a and thus into the nozzle 11 , so that it is still in the line 13 between point 15 and the nozzle 11 any grinding powder located is blown out.
Igs it is stated again that with the selector element 4,9) only one of the squeeze valves 271 and 40 can ever be opened, and further that when one of these three valves is open that are always closed to the other two.
This prevents the possibility of powder flowing from the wrong container to the nozzle 11 , and in this connection it is important that both sides of each of the powder containers are between the gas source 12 and the nozzle 11 < / B> switching lines are closed when the container is not being used, and also that the vibrator for this container is switched off when its powder is not needed.
The Quetseliventile shown are, especially where powdered Arbeitsmittei is introduced, very important because the control effected by them is complete and quick. In addition, wear and tear is reduced to a minimum, because the rubber of the pipe withstands the abrasive effects of the powder much more successfully than is possible with a metal valve.
