gL.it gekühlte Diazo- suspension zugetropft.
Process for the preparation of a fluorescent monotriazole compound. The present patent is a process for the preparation of a fluoreszie-generating monotriazole compound. The procedure is characterized by
that diazotized 4-amino-stilbene-2-sulfonic acid is coupled with 2-amino-6-methoxy-naphthalene to form the o-amino-azo dye and this to form 2-stilbyl- (4 ") - (6'-methoxy-naphth 'o-1', 2 ': 4,5) -1,2,3-triazole-2 "-sulfonic acid oxidized.
The sodium salt of the new compound obtained is a greenish yellow powder. It should be used as a lightening agent.
Example: A solution of 27.5 parts of 4-amino-stilbene-2-sulfonic acid, 4.1 parts of sodium hydroxide and 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite in 200 parts of water is mixed at 8 to 10 with 25 Parts of hydrochloric acid indirectly diazotized. 17.3 parts of 2-amino-6-methoxy-naphthalene are dissolved with 10 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid in 350 parts of hot water and the 45 to 50% warm solution is poured into the mentioned
gL.it of cooled diazo suspension was added dropwise. The temperature is maintained at 10 to 12 and the solution of 40 parts of crystallized sodium acetate in 100 parts of water is slowly run in.
A surface-active dispersant or, after a few hours, 2 to 2.5% pyridine is advantageously added as a solubilizer. After the coupling has ended, the o-aminoazo dye is isolated and washed. The moist product is dissolved in 200 parts of warm pyridine and a solution of 12 parts of sodium hydroxide in 20 parts of water and a few drops of Turkish red oil are added.
At a temperature of 60 to 65, 150 to 190 parts of a 17% strength sodium hypochlorite solution are ntui added dropwise within half an hour. After some time, part of the oxidation product begins to separate out in crystalline form. The temperature is slowly increased to 70 to 75 for complete oxidation of the dye.
When the oxidation is complete, the mixture is allowed to cool, the aqueous layer is separated from the pyridinic triazole suspension and 8 parts of sodium hydroxide in 20 parts of water are added to the latter. Then the pyridine is expelled ben with steam. In order to obtain a very light-colored end product, a reducing agent, such as, for example, 2 to 5 parts of sodium hydrosulfite, can be added at the beginning of the steam distillation.
After the steam distillation has ended, the 2-stilbylnaphthotriazole compound separated out as yellow-tinged crystal needles is filtered off while still warm. The product is washed with warm water until the filtrate is pale and the sodium salt of the 2 - stilbyl - (4 ") - (6 '- methoxynaphtho-1', 2 ': 4.5) -1.2 is dried , 3-triazole-2 "-sulfonic acid at 50 to 60.
This compound is a greenish yellow powder; it is a valuable lightening agent for cellulose fibers. In the case of good fastness properties, the white shade obtained with it shows a blue-white shade and has excellent chlorine fastness. The product can also be used as a lightening agent for soaps and synthetic detergents and gives them and the textiles treated with them a whiter appearance.
