l'acide N-(éthoxy-2'-éthyl)-amino-2-benzoïque, l'acide N-(carboxy-2'-phényl)-P-amino- propionique, l'acide N-méthyl-anthranilique, l'acide N-étliyl-anthranilique, l'acide N-butyl-anthranilique, l'acide N-cyclohexyl-anthranilîque, l'acide N phényl-glycine-méthylester-ortho- carboxylique, l'acide Nphényl-glycine-éthylester-ortho- carbaxylique,
l'acide N-phényl-glycine-amide-ortho- carboxylique.
Process for the preparation of a new diazoamino derivative. The present invention relates to the preparation of new diazoamino derivatives of the following general formula:
EMI0001.0005
in which R represents the residue of an aromatic amine or of an amine which behaves in diazotization like an aromatic amine and having a more pronounced basic character than 2,5-dichloraniline, X represents an alkyl radical or optionally substituted cycloalkyl, n represents 1 or 2, tan say that -, fie denotes a monovalent metal or its equivalent.
In accordance with the present invention, these new diazoamino derivatives can be obtained by starting from diazo or tetrazoic compounds derived from mono- or diamines having a more accentuated basic character than 2,5-dichloraniline and by making them react in a non-acidic medium. , on N -substituted derivatives of anthranilic acid of general formula:
EMI0001.0017
where X and Me have the same meanings as above.
They can be isolated from the reaction medium, for example, by adding caustic alkali or sodium chloride or a mixture of these two products. After drying at moderate temperature under vacuum, they have very good storage stability.
Among the diazo or tetrazoic compounds which can be used for the preparation of these new diazoamino derivatives, there may be mentioned, by way of example, those which derive from aniline, toluidines, xylidines. , cresidines, anisidines, monohalogenated derivatives of said bases,
monoacylated para-diamines,, whether or not substituted by halogen atoms, alkyl or alkoxy groups, benzidine, tolidines, dianisidines, aminoazoic acids. The,
N′-substituted derivatives of anthranilic acid which may be used for the preparation of these new diazoamino derivatives may contain substituents such as, for example, -OH, -OCH3, -OC2H5, -COOMe, -S03Me, -OS03Me, -OP03Me2, -OP02Me2,
-COOAlk (formula in which Alk represents an alkyl residue) and -CO-NI. These are, in particular: N-phenyl-glycine-ortho-carboxylic acid, N-oxyethyl-anthranilic acid, N-dioxypropyl-amino-2-benzoïqtte acid, N- (oxy- 2'-propyl-sulfo-3 ') - amino-2-benzoic, glycamïno-2-benzdic acid, N- (methoxy-2'-ethyl) -amino-2-benzoic,
N- (ethoxy-2'-ethyl) -amino-2-benzoic acid, N- (carboxy-2'-phenyl) -P-amino-propionic acid, N-methyl-anthranilic acid, l 'N-ethyl-anthranilic acid, N-butyl-anthranilic acid, N-cyclohexyl-anthranilic acid, N-phenyl-glycine-methyl ester-ortho-carboxylic acid, N-phenyl-glycine-ethyl ester-ortho - carbaxyl,
N-phenyl-glycine-amide-ortho-carboxylic acid.
These acids can be obtained, for example, either from ortho-halo-benzoic acids by condensation with aliphatic or cycloaliphatic derivatives containing an amino group, or from ortho-amino-benkoic acids by condensation with derivatives. aliphatic halogenated.
The diazoamino derivatives thus obtained can be mixed with coupling components and thus serve to prepare azo dyes insoluble on the. fiber; they offer the advantage of breaking up very quickly by neutral spraying.
This property makes them particularly. valuable for textile fiber printing, since they can be developed by simple neutral spraying without requiring the addition of volatile amines to the printing pastes.
In fact, the drawbacks due to the use of acid vaporization are well known and, until now, only a very small number of diazoamino derivatives capable of splitting by simple hydrolysis in an alkaline medium have been known. These new dia.zoamino derivatives are. therefore of great technical interest.
The present patent relates to a process for the preparation of a diazoamino derivative, a process characterized in that a diazo compound derived from methyl-1-an-iino-2-chloro-5-benzene is condensed in a non-acid medium. , with N phenyl-glycine-ortho-carboxylic acid.
In the example given below, the parts. by weight and parts by volume are in the same ratio to each other as kilograms and liters.
Example: 35.5 parts by weight of methyl-1-amino-2-chloro-5-benzene are diazotized in the usual manner at 0-5 C with 60 parts by volume of hydrochloric acid at 21 Baumé and 17, 5 parts by weight of sodium nitrite.
The diazo solution is poured over half an hour under liquid and with good stirring in a solution maintained at -2 C by external cooling and by adding ice and prepared from 65 parts by weight of N-phenyl glycine acid. -ortho-carboxylic in the form of monosodium salt, 300 parts of water and 70 parts by weight of sodium carbonate. The absorption of the diazo compound is quite rapid.
After the. casting, -on neutralize little by little with a solution of caustic soda until clear alkalinity on yellow thiazol paper; a small quantity of insoluble products is removed by filtration and the residue is washed on a filter with a little water. The volume is then 1200 parts. The diazoamino derivative is precipitated with 200 parts by weight of caustic soda flakes. The temperature rises to 40-50 C. Allowed to cool. The crystals isolated by filtration are dried at 40-50 ° C. 96 parts by weight of product are obtained in this way. dry.
The product. obtained is a barely colored powder, perfectly dry stable; it is even at a relatively high temperature (50-60 C) for several weeks. In addition, she is. easily soluble in water, with which it gives a colorless solution.
It can be used as a mixture with various couplers and in particular with the arylides of ortho-oxy-carboxylic acids or acylacylated derivatives. The pastes, prepared in the usual way with these mixtures, in the presence of a slight excess of soda, printed on cotton fabric for example and sprayed in a neutral or acidic medium, make it possible to obtain a wide variety of shades:
scarlet and red with the arylides of P-oxy-y yellow with the acylaeyl derivatives of the benzene or diphenyl series, brown with the arylides of the oxy-carbazole-carboxylic acid.
