Process for the preparation of a new diazoamino derivative. The present patent relates to a process for preparing a novel diazoamino derivative, a process characterized in that a diazo compound derived from methyl-1-amino 2-chloro-4-benzene is condensed, in a non-acidic medium, with N-phenyl-glycine-ortho-carboxylic acid.
In the example given below, parts by weight and parts by volume are. between them in the same relation as the kilograms and the liters. Example: Diazotizes. Usually 35.5 parts by weight of methyl-1-amino 2-ehloro-4-benzene, with 60 parts by volume of 21 Bé hydrochloric acid and 17.5 parts by weight of sodium nitrite at a temperature of 0 -5 C. The final volume of the diazo solution is. of 400 parts.
This solution is then poured over the course of half an hour under liquid and with good stirring into a solution prepared from 65 parts by weight of 1 \ T-phenyl-glycine-ortho-carboxylic aid. state of monosodium salt, 350 parts of water and 70 parts by weight of sodium carbonate. This solution is maintained at −2 ° C. by external cooling by means of a cooling mixture and by adding ice.
After casting, neutralized little by little with i a caustic soda solution until clear alkalinity on thiazol yellow paper, filtered and precipitated by the diazoamine derivative by adding to the filtrate 200 parts by weight of caustic soda in flakes and 200 parts by weight of sodium chloride. The mixture is heated to 60-65 C for a few moments to promote the formation of crystals which, after cooling, are filtered, well pressed and dried at moderate temperature. The yield is of the order of 80 % .
The product obtained is a barely colored powder which is perfectly dry stable; it is even at relatively high temperature (50 to 60 C) during. Several weeks. In addition, she is. easily soluble in water, with which it gives a colorless solution.
It can be used as a mixture with various couplings and in particular with. arylides of ortho-oxy-earboxylic acids or acylacylated derivatives. Pastes, prepared in the usual way with these mixtures in the presence of a slight excess of soda, printed on cotton fabric for example and sprayed in a neutral medium, allowing a wide variety of shades to be obtained:
scarlet and red with the arylides of fl-oxynaphthoic acid, yellow with the acylacyl derivatives of the. benzene or diphenyl series, brown with orv-carbazole-carboxylic acid arylides.
