Shock absorbing bearing. The present invention relates to a shock absorber pa bind.
The drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the damper bearing which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the bearing in dia metral section.
Fig. 2 shows it in plan seen from the side <lu eontre-pivot, and FIG. 3 shows it in section along the line I-I of FIG. 1.
1 designates the cock, in which a hollow cylindrical support 2 of the damping device is forced. 3 designates the stone drilled in the central hole of which is housed the pivot 4 terminating the journal 5 of the shaft 5 '; the swivel 5 is housed with peripheral clearance in the opening 6 of the base 28 of the support 2. 7 designates a surrounding metal ring or chaton. the pierced stone 3 a little lower than this ring.
The free periphery of this ring serves as a support to eont.re-pivot 8. 9 designates a circular groove that has the wall 10 of the cavity of. support 2 in the vicinity of its entrance. This wall has equidistant notches 11 to 13 intended for the introduction into said groove 9 of the corner parts 14 to 16 of a triangular spring 17 to 19, intended to press the counter-pivot 8 against the for free turn. of the ring 7.
20 denotes an elastic circular flat ring, made of steel for example, cut at 21 and surrounding the ring 7 without touching it. This ring is mounted flat at the bottom 28 of the support cavity.
22 to 24 denote three equidistant slangs, carried on the inner face of the elastic ring 20, which extend below the base of the drilled stone 3 and which are housed in three equidistant holes 25 to 27 from the bottom 28 of the support 2. These holes are planes larger than the right section of said lugs. These latter are in contact with the radially inner face of said holes and with the ring 7.
On its face opposite to that by which it is mounted; in the bottom 28 of the cavity of the support 2, the ring 20 has three equally spaced lugs 29 to 31, extending the lugs already named 22 to 24, parallel to the 'axis of pivot 4 and tangent to ring 7.
The free end of these lugs 29 and 3 presents, on the outer side, an angled part 29 'to 31', the face of which is parallel to the axis of the pivot is intended to serve as a 'stop to any lateral displacements of the counter-pivot 8 and whose face perpendicular to said axis is intended to serve as a stop for any axial displacements of the ring 20.
When. side impacts occur on the shaft 5 ', they are transmitted to the pierced stone 3, the ring 7 of which transmits them to one or another of the pins 29 to 31 individually or jointly; the ring 2.0 deforms elastically by virtue of the cut 21 and returns, after the impact, the stone to its starting centered position. The pins 22 to 24 maintain the general orientation of the ring 20 The pa king of the central hole 6 of the bottom 28 limits the displacement. of the journal 5.
