Vorkammerdieselmaschine.
Pre-chamber diesel engine. The invention relates to a pre-chamber diesel engine with an insert which forms the overflow channel between the pre-chamber and the main combustion chamber and which closes off the overflow passage between the pre-chamber and the main combustion chamber against the base and outflow openings for the pre-chamber contents arranged on the circumference.
In the known inserts of this type. The wall thickness of the base is generally equal to that of the peripheral wall. The bottom is. particularly at risk here due to the high temperature occurring in the antechamber and in the main combustion chamber.
The floor itself takes on a high temperature, and if the machine is subjected to heavy loads, even when using high-quality thermiseb-grade material, the floor may become scaled or cracked, especially between the blow-out openings located on the circumference of the floor, which in the As a rule, it completely jumps off and, under certain circumstances, can endanger the operation.
The diesel engine according to the invention is characterized in that the bottom of the insert, rounded on its inside, merges into the peripheral wall of the insert, the wall thickness of which is greater than that of the insert bottom.
This arrangement makes it possible to keep the thermal stress on the soil within permissible limits. An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
It is 1 the prechamber, 2 the main combustion chamber, 3 the piston moving back and forth in the cylinder. The fuel is injected through an injection nozzle (not shown) in direction 4, and indeed in the direction opposite to that formed by insert 5. Overflow channel 6, which through (for example four to six) lateral and slightly downwardly inclined bores. 7 opens into the main combustion chamber.
The bottom 8 is hemispherical on its inside 9 and rounded in such a way that its inner boundary surface merges into the cylindrical inner surface of the peripheral wall 10. The holes 7 mün the here within the rounding 9 in the overflow channel 6 from. The wall 10 is made strong and has a wall thickness approximately equal to half the diameter of the overflow channel 6.
On its outside, the bottom 8 of the insert is bounded by a flat surface 11 be, in such a way that it dips into a flat recess 12 of the piston that is adapted to the insert bottom at the top dead center. The piston head comes so close to the insert that only a narrow gap remains between the piston and the insert, while the exhaust openings 7 are directed across the piston head surrounding the recess 11 into the outer parts of the main combustion chamber.
As a result of the rounding 9 and the outwardly increasing wall thickness, the amount of heat absorbed by the bottom 8 can flow through the webs between the bores 7 to the cylindrical wall 10 and from there to the particularly water-cooled cylinder head, so that the thermal stresses of the insert Do not exceed the permissible height, especially since the amount of heat absorbed by the floor is relatively low as a result of the lower wall thickness.
The invention can be used in pre-chamber diesel machines of all types, in particular also in motor vehicle engines.
