Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Küpenfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass ein wertvoller Küpenfarbstoff hergestellt werden kann, wenn man 1- (p-Brom-benzoylamino) -4-amino-6- chloranthrachinon mit einem funktionellen Derivat der in 4-Stellung durch eine N-Di- methylsulfamidgruppe substituierten Benzol 1-carbonsäure umsetzt.
Der neue Farbstoff löst sich in konz. Schwefelsäure mit. rotvioletter Farbe und färbt Baumwolle aus oliver Küpe in echten, blaustiehig roten Tönen.
Als funktionelles Derivat. der genannten Carbonsäure kann mit Vorteil ein Säurehalo genid, beispielsweise das Säurechlorid, verwen det werden. Die Umsetzung kann beispiels weise in einem indifferenten Lösungsmittel, vorzugsweise von relativ hohem Siedepunkt, wie Mono-, Di- oder Trichlorbenzol, vorgenom men werden, wobei vorteilhaft bei erhöhter Temperatur gearbeitet wird.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 23 Teile Benzol-l-carbonsäure-4- (N-di- methyl)-sulfamid werden in 350 Teilen trok- kenem Nitrobenzol verteilt und nach Zufügen von 16 Teilen Thionylehlorid und einer gerin gen Menge Pyridin anderthalb Stunden bei 120" verrührt. Hierauf wird die klare Lösung mit 45,5 Teilen 1-(p-Brom-benzoylamino)-4- smino-6-chloranthraehinon versetzt und zwei Stunden bei 125 bis 130 gerührt.
Nach dem Erkalten wird der in roten Nädelchen auskri stallisierte Farbstoff abfiltriert, mit heissem Alkohol gut gewaschen und getrocknet.

The new dye dissolves in conc. Sulfuric acid with. red-violet color and dyes cotton from an olive vat in real, bluish red tones.
As a functional derivative. of the carboxylic acid mentioned, an acid halide, for example the acid chloride, can advantageously be used. The reaction can, for example, be carried out in an inert solvent, preferably of a relatively high boiling point, such as mono-, di- or trichlorobenzene, advantageously at elevated temperature.
<I> Example: </I> 23 parts of benzene-1-carboxylic acid 4- (N-dimethyl) sulfamide are distributed in 350 parts of dry nitrobenzene and, after adding 16 parts of thionyl chloride and a small amount of pyridine Stirred for one and a half hours at 120 ". 45.5 parts of 1- (p-bromo-benzoylamino) -4-smino-6-chloranthraehinone are then added to the clear solution and the mixture is stirred at 125 to 130 for two hours.
After cooling, the dye which has crystallized out in the red needles is filtered off, washed well with hot alcohol and dried.
