EMI0001.0011
Diese Verbindung bildet ein Elydroehlorid, das bei 223 bis 225 sehmilzt;

Process for the production of a new cyclohexanol. (The subject matter of the present invention is a process for the preparation of 2-Cyeloliexy liden-1- (3'-piperidino-propyl) -cyclohexanol of the formula
EMI0001.0011
This compound forms an elyroid chloride, which melts at 223 to 225;
it is new, is a strong antispasmodic and can be used as an ingredient.
The process according to the invention is characterized in that an N -. [1.-halo-propyl- (3)] - piperidine is reacted with a metal and then with 2-cyelohexylidene-eyelohexanone and from the above obtained metal compound the 2-Cyelohexyliden-1- (3'-piperidino-propy l)
-eyelohexanol releases. Magnesium is advantageously used as the metal, but also cadmium or zinc. In this implementation, e.g. B. with llagnesiuni forms. see the corresponding organometallic compound, which reacts with the above-mentioned compounds in the usual way, the free base CN-eloliexanoii.
The metal is advantageously activated, for example magnesium with the help of small amounts of iodine or an alkyl halide.
The metal compound of Cyelohexanol is z. B. decomposed with mineral acid. This usually gives salts of the base as is. Of the latter, like in turn salts can be prepared, such as. B. soles of the hydrohalic acids, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, rhodanic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, oxalic acid, malic acid, citric acid.
Benzoic acid, methanesulphonic acid, ethanesulphonic acid, oxyethanesulphonic acid, benzenesulphonic acid or toluenesulphonic acid. Example: 12.0 parts by weight of magnesium are used with little abs. Doused with ether.
To initiate the reaction, ethyl bromide is then added, followed by 46.8 parts by weight of N- [1.-chloro-propyl- (3)] -piperidine in 25 parts by volume of abs. Benzene and 75 parts by volume abs. Ether with stirring and gentle warming up pretty quickly.
After four hours of stirring in a water bath of 50, 42.8 parts by weight of 2-cyclohexylidene-cyelohexanone are added in small portions and the reaction mixture is kept at 50 for a further 5 hours.
The reaction product is then mixed with dilute hydrochloric acid, the crystalline, sehwerlösliehe 1lydroehlorid des 2-Cyelohexyliden-1- (3'-pipe-ridino-propyl) -eyelohexanols of the formula from the acidic salt solution

precipitates .. After recirculation from alcohol / ethyl acetate it melts at 223 to 2Z5. By shaking the hydrochloride with ether and potash, the base is obtained, which boils at 146 to 148 under 0.07 mm pressure.
