Description

Quick-acting valve. The present invention relates to a fast-acting valve, characterized in that it comprises a valve body and a prismatic tab held against a flat face of said body by means of springs bearing against screws taking themselves. bearing on this body, said tongue being capable of sliding while remaining held against the body, this tongue being guided laterally by smooth rods which said screws comprise, the tongue having a hole which, in one of the extreme positions of the tongue,

is completely uncovered by another hole passing through said valve body, but completely green. if this tab is in its other extreme position.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the valve according to the invention.

Fig. 1 is. a section along the longitudinal axis.

Fig. \? in is. a section along the plane of the upper face of a tab that includes the valve.

The valve shown includes a valve body made up of blocks 1 and 2 which are connected to each other by screws 3, nuts 4 and locknuts 5. The heads 6 of screws 3 are numbered. in a part 7a of larger diameter than the holes 7 formed in the blocks 1 and. 2 and crossed by the screws 3.

A coil spring 8 is interposed between each head 6 and the shoulder 9 formed by the bottom of the corresponding drilling part 7a. These springs 8 maintain the flat, parallel and juxtaposed faces; blocks 1 and 2 against the faces of a prismatic tongue 10. The latter is thus capable of sliding between these blocks 1 and 2 while being guided laterally by the smooth rods that include. the screws 3.

The tongue 7.0 is provided with a hand screw 11 having an annular shoulder 72 which determines one of the extreme positions of the tongue 10 when it abuts against the parts 1 and 2. The other extreme position is determined by the head of a stop screw 13 screwed into the end of the tongue 10 which is opposite to that which carries the screw ma net 11.

In, this second extreme position, that is. moreover shown in the drawing, a circular hole 14 presented by the. tongue 10 is completely uncovered by holes 15 and 16 aligned with one another that present the two parts 1 and 2 of the valve body. In the other extreme position of the tongue 10, the troll 14 is completely covered; the valve is then closed.

The valve shown can be operated very quickly.

It is obvious that the screws 3 could be directed in the opposite direction, that is to say upside down (fig. 1), and engage by a thread in a thread of part 1 of the valve body. . The springs 8, bearing against the heads of said screws, would then act directly on part 2 of the valve body. In this case, we could even remove part 2 of the valve body and make the springs act directly on tab 1.0.
