Description

  

      Zusatzpatent    zum Hauptpatent     Nr.-    267390.    Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Farbstoffzwischenproduktes.       Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung  ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von     Bis-          (ehlormethyl)-isodibenzanthron,    welches da  durch gekennzeichnet ist, dass     Isodibenz-          ant.hron    mit einer Substanz, welche die Chlor  methylgruppe einzuführen vermag, in Gegen  wart eines Kondensationsmittels behandelt  wird.  



  Das neue Produkt ist ein violettes Pulver,  welches in     Wasser    unlöslich ist und in     konz.     Schwefelsäure eine grüne Lösung liefert..  



  Als Substanz, welche die     Chlormethyl-          gruppe    einzuführen vermag, sei beispielsweise  genannt     Dichlordimethyläther,    welcher     ge-          wünsehtenfalls    in sitze aus     Paraformaldehyd     und Halogenwasserstoff gebildet werden kann.  



  Als sich eignendes Kondensationsmittel sei  beispielsweise Schwefelsäure oder Aluminium  chlorid genannt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  20 Teile     Isodibenzanthron    werden unter  Rühren in 330 Teilen 100     o/oiger    Schwefel-    säure bei 20 bis 25  C gelöst und mit 65 Teilen       Dichlordimethyläther    versetzt. Das Gemisch  wird dann innerhalb einer Stunde auf 60  C  erwärmt und während sechs Stunden bei die  ser Temperatur von 60  C gerührt. Das     chlor-          methylierte    Produkt wird durch Eingiessen  des Reaktionsgemisches in ein Gemisch von  Eis und Wasser ausgefällt, filtriert, mit kal  tem. Wasser gewaschen und getrocknet.
