Pflanzentopf.
Fig'. 4 ist der Erdreiehträger a" aussen mit einer Rippe a' ausgestattet und wirkt mit einem Untersatz h zusammen, der Lufteinla¯¯ffnungen c aufweist.
Plant pot.
The present invention relates to a plant pot. According to the invention, this has a perforated soil support, which is located above a water container and the underside of which is at least partially surrounded by the outside air, the outer pot walls being made of water- and air-impermeable material.
Plant pots of this type have the advantage over conventional plant pots that the soil, in particular the lower part with the strongest roots, is well ventilated and therefore provides particularly favorable growth conditions. It is well known that if there is a lack of air, severe soil bacteria develop which form humic acid and other substances that damage the roots.
In a known plant pot of the type indicated above, the soil support lies above the openings provided for the outside air access gel) in the outer wall of the pot. Since this known pot is made of porous material, it has the disadvantage that the soil dries out quickly, especially when the plant pot is in a warm, dry environment. The object of the present invention is to remedy this deficiency.
Because the outer walls of the pot according to the invention are made of water- and air-impermeable material, for example porcelain, the evaporation of the water contained in the soil is greatly reduced, and the underside of the perforated soil support is at least partially washed by outside air , the benefits of ventilation of the soil from below are not compromised.
The soil carrier advantageously arches into the water tank to below the highest possible water level. In the case of plants with a high water requirement, the water container can be filled so far that the water wets the soil support at its deepest point. The soil then continuously absorbs water through the soil support so that it does not dry out. This training results in a very good solution to the problem discussed at the beginning.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing in several exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 1 to 5 by vertical sections.
According to Fig. 1, a is a vessel made of water- and air-impermeable material, for example porcelain, ceramic material or metal, in which b denotes a soil support; c are arranged in the vessel openings which allow the access of air and water to the underside of the soil support b; d are openings in the bottom of the soil support; f denotes the bottom of the vessel.
The lower openings c are so far away from the bottom f of the vessel that a water container is formed below the soil support b. The soil carrier b is produced separately from the vessel. It can consist of a porous material, for example clay.
It rests on the ring-shaped rib e of the vessel. The water can be filled up to the lower edge of the openings c, so that the middle part of the soil support b protrudes into the water container.
In Fig. 2, the same reference numerals as in Fig. 1 denote the same parts. The vessel a consists in turn of a water- and air-impermeable material, for example porcelain, and is provided with holes and openings c. Alit J is called the bottom of the vessel. This also consists of impermeable material. On a rib e, a soil carrier b is supported, which has holes d, which are distributed both over its bottom and aneh its side wall. The soil support can consist of porous aluminum material.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the soil support b is supported on the one hand by a rib e of the vessel a and on the other hand by feet g with which it stelit on the floor f of the water container. It is made in two parts, so that it can be inserted into the vessel, even though it is larger than the upper opening of the vessel a.
To. Fig '. 4, the soil support a "is equipped on the outside with a rib a 'and cooperates with a base h which has air inlets c. The soil support a" is separate from the base li, which forms the water container, but au. s one piece with its bottom b made of water and air impermeable aluminum material, for example porcelain.
According to Fig. 5, the saucer h is plate-shaped and the vessel ¯α; is provided with feet that correspond to the. Perforated Erdreiehträger b give such a distance from the sub-base f that the bottom b can be flushed with air on its underside. The holes d in the soil support should be dimensioned so that they allow a series of air and water supply to the soil. They could, instead of as drawn, round. also be designed in the form of a slot, for example.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the soil carrier b could also be connected to the upper part of the vessel? consist of one piece and the lower part of the vessel? be separated from the top and designed as a water container. In the example according to FIG. 6, too, the soil support b could be formed from one piece with the vessel a.
The Erdreichrägerboden. are advantageously designed in such a way that they can absorb air and water at the same time by means of the air blowers provided. The openings c are arranged so high everywhere that a water sump can be formed in the water container.
