Le carter 12 est alors animé d'un mouvement de va-et-vient recti ligne. lie porte-aiguille 4 suit ce mouvement de va-et-vient; toutefois, du fait de l'insertion des ressorts 14 et. 15 entre le carter 12 et le porte-aiguille -1, le mouvement de ee dernier n'est pas sinusoïdal, ce qui présente certains avantages pour le remmaillage. 1?.n effet, grâce à la masse du porte-aiguille 4 et de l'ai guille 3, les ressorts 1.4 et 15 se compriment et décompriment. alternativement à chaque inversion du sens de déplacement du carter 12;
A chaque tour du moteur, le maneton 19 coopère avec la tête (le commande 53 et re- pousse le levier oscillant 50 à l'encontre de son ressort de rappel 52, ce qui provoque l'ou- verture temporaire dit premier interrupteur 54-5.5. @lr@ice à l'inertie des masses en mou veinent, le moteur et. le mécanisme ne s'arrê tent pas, l'interruption (lu courant étant de trop courte durée;
<B> Electrical appliance for re-stitching, in particular for re-stitching stockings. </B> The present invention relates to an electrical device for re-stitching, in particular for re-stitching stockings, comprising an electric motor actuating a mechanism, enclosed in a sleeve and intended to impart a reciprocating motion to a needle slidably mounted in the apparatus.
This device is characterized by an inter, breaker of the electric circuit of the motor, subjected to the action of a spring which tends to keep it closed, by a locking device intended to keep the switch open, this device being. capable of being released by a member (the control maneuverable by hand, and by a movable stop that can be actuated by said control member and capable of coming into the path of a movable part of said mechanism, so as to stop this mechanism in a determined position in which the needle is in the retracted position.
The accompanying drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the apparatus. the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is. a view in longitudinal section following. line I-I of the. fig. 2, the needle being. in the forward position.
The fi, 2 is. a sectional view along line II-II of the. fig. 1, the needle being in the retracted position and protected by a capu chon.
Fig. 3 is quickly partial; with parts broken away, illustrating more specifically the control device that this embodiment comprises.
Fig. 4 is a diagram of the control device.
Fig. 5 is a view of a detail on a larger scale.
The apparatus shown comprises a handle 1 at one end of which is fixed a guide tube 2 from which emerges a needle designated by 3. The latter is mounted on a needle holder 4 actuated in a rapid back-and-forth movement. comes by a mechanism comprising a damper 5, a connecting rod 6, a crank 7 and transmission cogs 8, 9, 10. This actuation mechanism is driven by an electric motor 11.
The damper 5 comprises a cylindrical casing 12 (fig. 1 and 2), crossed at one of its ends by the needle holder 4, which carries at its rear end a head 13 subjected to the antagonistic actions of two kinds 7 4 and 15 taking. support on the funds 16, respectively 17 of the housing 12, and compri mant to. every half stroke of the needle. The housing slides in the guide tube 2 and carries, fixed at its rear end, a pin 18 on which is. articulated one of the ends of the connecting rod 6, including. the other end is. articulated on a crank pin 19 of the crank 7. The latter is fixed rigidly on the hub 20 of a toothed wheel 8 rotating on an axis 21 fixed on a support plate 22.
This toothed wheel 8 meshes with the gear 9 pivoted at 23 and itself meshing with the drive pinion 10 integral with the motor shaft designated by 24. The latter (FIG. 5) is pivoted with a on the one hand, in a bearing 25, arranged in the plate 22 and, on the other hand, in a bearing 26 located in the second support plate designated by 27. The rotor of the motor 11 is mounted on this shaft 24.
This rotor comprises a hollow shaft consisting of a sleeve 28 rotating freely on the shaft 24 and carrying, on the one hand, an armature with three lamellar arms 29 each carrying a winding 30 and, on the other hand, a collector having three segments 31 each electrically connected to one of the bearings 30. The sleeve 28 is axially retained by a shoulder 32 of the shaft 24 and by the end face of the bearing 26.
The two support plates 22 and 27 are kept at a fixed spacing by brackets 33, only one of which. is visible in the drawing (fig. 1 <B>) </B>. The armature rotates between the poles 34 of an inductor 35 in the form of a horseshoe and carrying an inductor winding 36. Coals 37 guided in carbon holders 38 and subjected to the action of springs 39 tending to them. applied to the segments 31 make it possible to supply the armature with electric current.
The rotor is mechanically connected to shaft 24 by means of a coupling limiting the transmissible torque. In the embodiment shown, the transmissible torque is defined by the frictional resistance opposing a relative angular displacement of two parts. This coupling comprises an arcuate spring wire 40 whose ends are engaged in blind holes 41 made in the shaft 24, perpendicular to its axis of rotation, and whose middle part, housed in a longitudinal groove 42 made in the shaft 24. shaft 24, rests on the internal cylindrical surface of the sleeve 28.
The control device comprises a control member 43, which can be operated by hand, consisting of a pusher, acting, on the one hand., On a lever 44, articulated by one of its ends on the plate 27 and carrying a part 45 of a rusting worm device 45-46. The pusher 43 acts, on the other hand, on a movable contact 47 of a switch including. the fixed contact designated by 48 is carried by the support plate 27.
A spring 49 acting on the lever 44 tends to keep the two parts of the locking device in engagement with each other and to. keep the switch 47-48 in the open position. Part 46 of the locking device is integral with a lever 50 oscillating on a pin 57 carried by the plate 27 (FIG. 3). This oscillating lever is subjected to the action of a spring. 52 and carries, on the one hand, a control head 53 intended to cooperate with the end of the crankpin 19 and, on the other hand, a movable contact 54 of another switch whose fixed contact designated by 55 is carried by plate 27.
Fig. 4, in which the various components and elements mentioned above are represented symbolically, illustrates the diagram of the electrical and mechanical connections of this control device. One of the core conductors born of electric current designated by 56 is connected to one of the ends of the quotation coil 36 of the inductor 35, the second end of this coil being connected to one of the coals 37.
The second carbon 37 is electrically connected to the two contacts 48 and 54 of the two switches, while the two contacts 47 and 55 of these switches are. connected to the second conductor designated by 5 7.
The control device further comprises a stop device intended to stop the engine in a position for which the needle 3 is in the retracted position (fig. 2 and 3). This device comprises a first stop 58 carried by the lever 44 and a second stop 59 integral with the motor shaft 24. This second stop is constituted by the curved end in the form of a beak of a split metal ring 60 mounted in a; barley 61 of a. disc 62 integral with the shaft 24.
Operation (the apparatus shown is as follows: When stopped, the components and. Elements of the key control device are in the relative positions shown in fig. 3 and it suffices to exert a push on the pusher 43 to cause a movement of the lever 44 against its return spring 49, which causes, on the one hand, the unlocking of the lever 50 which then oscillates under the action of its spring. 52,, until the contact 51 touches the contact 55 thus closing the first switch and switching on.
under voltage the motor 11, and this causes, on the other hand, the movement of the stop 58 out of the path of the stop 59 integral with the motor shaft 24 releasing. so the latter.
As a result, when the motor 1.1 is energized and the shaft 24 is free, the rotor rotates clockwise, driving the shaft 24 by friction thanks to the spring. 40 which exerts a radial pressure and maintains the sleeve 28 in contact with the shaft 24.
The casing 12 is then driven in a recti-line reciprocating movement. the needle holder 4 follows this back and forth movement; however, due to the insertion of springs 14 and. 15 between the housing 12 and the needle holder -1, the movement of the latter is not sinusoidal, which has certain advantages for re-meshing. 1? .N effect, thanks to the mass of the needle holder 4 and the needle 3, the springs 1.4 and 15 are compressed and decompressed. alternately on each reversal of the direction of movement of the housing 12;
a relative displacement occurs between the needle holder 4 and the housing 12, so that the instantaneous speeds of the needle 3 do not match. not to those of the housing 72 and that the stroke of the needle 3 is different from that imposed on the housing 12 by the connecting rod 6.
At each revolution of the engine, the crankpin 19 cooperates with the head (the control 53 and pushes the oscillating lever 50 against its return spring 52, which causes the temporary opening of said first switch 54- 5.5. @ Lr @ ice to the inertia of the slack masses, the motor and the mechanism do not stop, the interruption (the current being too short;
nevertheless, these repeated interruptions have the effect of reducing the rotational speed of the motor.
By exer @ atit a stronger push on, push-button 43, the usurer causes the permanent closure of the second switch -17-48, connected in parallel to the contacts 54 and 55 of the first switch. Therefore, the motor 11 is continuously supplied and reaches its full speed of rotation. Thus, the user has the possibility of obtaining, by a simple more or less strong thrust exerted on the control member 43, two different speeds of the needle 3.
To stop the engine and the entire mechanism, it suffices to release the push button 43 which returns, under the action of the spring 49, to a rest position in which a collar 63 abuts against the casing 1. The contact 47 leaves contact 48 and lever 44 oscillates counterclockwise, under the action of spring 49. With the motor still supplied through the first switch 54-55, continues to operate. needle 3.
However, during the next passage of the crankpin 19 over the control head 53, these contacts 54 and 55 are again separated from one another; immediately, after the passage of part 46 under the spout of part 45, the lever 44 returns to the position shown in. fig. 3, under the action of its return spring 49, so that when the crankpin 19 leaves the control head 53, the part 45 is in the path of the part 46, preventing the lever 50 from oscillating under the action within its remit.
It follows that the first switch 54-55 remains open and the motor is not. more fed. However, thanks to the inertia of the moving parts, needle 3 continues on its way; the lever 44 being in the. position shown in fig. 3. the. stopper 58 happens to be in the path of nozzle 59.
As a result, the mechanism is suddenly stopped, shortly after the crankpin 19 has escaped. the. head 53, and is therefore in the position shown in FIGS. <B> '</B> and 3, in which the needle is. in the retracted position.
The moving part which has the greatest d1iiertie mass is the motor rotor. The inertia force of it, launched at several thousand revolutions / min. and stopped suddenly, would be sufficient to cause damage to the needle actuation mechanism and the stopper.
In order to avoid such damage, the rotor is, as described above, connected to the shaft 24 by means of a coupling limiting the transmissible torque. Thus, when the shaft 24 is suddenly stopped by the spout 59 coming into contact with the stopper 58, the torque due to the inertia force tending to rotate the rotor is such that it is able to overcome the friction between the shaft 24 and the sleeve 28 produced by the spring 40, so that the rotor rotates around the motor shaft without driving the latter; it soon stops under the braking action due to friction.
By adjusting the angular position of the spout 59, it is easily possible to cause the motor shaft to be stopped in a position as shown in FIG. 3 with the needle retracted.
In addition, the motor torque necessary for actuating the needle being very small, a very small motor, of the type; those used in electric toys, is sufficient. The apparatus shown can be constructed under an extremely reduced v ohlme and its protective casing 1 constitutes a handle or a handle for holding the apparatus and directing the needle.
