Pistolet automatique.
Automatic pistol. The object. of the invention is an automatic pistol of the type also called submachine guns. It comprises a fixed barrel and a beating mass moving in a tubular breech by compressing a return spell under the effect of the deflagration of the charge contained in the cartridge. This pistol is characterized in that it has a trigger shaped to stop the beating mass at one and the other of the ends of its stroke. This trigger can be immobilized by a lock which also blocks the trigger and whose positions depend. those of a safety lever pivoted in the stock.
Preferably, the lock in question will be conducted. in a cylinder at. the interior of which penetrates one of the arms of the safety lever and which is susceptible to sliding allows both to introduce a control lug, which it bears on its exterior, in a groove of the shutter cap of the cylinder head , in order to prevent the operation of the imperfectly assembled weapon.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the gun. automatic according to the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a somewhat schematic longitudinal sectional view of the gun. according to the invention.
Fig. 2 is a similar section, on a larger scale, of the parts adjoining the butt only. Fig. 3 is a sectional view, at. also large scale as that of fig. 1, extractor.
The pistol shown has a tubular breech 1 fixed, by conventional means and not shown, to a butt 2 and at the end of which is held the barrel 3, in the rear end of which is the cartridge chamber 4. The The breech is closed at the end opposite to that where the barrel is fitted, by a removable closure cap 5. A beating mass 6, carrying the firing pin 7 at its end, is pushed, in the rest position, the weapon no. 'being unarmed, against the barrel by a spring. return 8 which bears against the closure cap and which is guided on a rod 9 integral with this cap.
Into a groove 10 of the end of the beating mass penetrates the spout of an ejector 11 whose mission, when the cartridge case is withdrawn, is to tilt it and project it out of the breech through an opening. found at the top of the latter. In the beating mass is hollowed out a radial slide 12 in which the extractor 13 smoothes. The latter is held in place by a spring 14 which allows it to move. direction perpendicular to the axis of the barrel inside the slide 12.
The gun has a trigger 15 which can pivot on a pin 16 supported in the lower frame of the gun. The trigger is solicited senestrorsum by Lin spring 17, secured to a lug which it has and angularly penetrates inside the cylinder head, in the path of the beating mass to retain it in one or the other of the ends of its race.
The trigger then cooperates alternately with the bevels 18, 19 respectively provided at the ends of the beating mass, or to retain it in the armed position, as shown in FIG. 1, or in the disarmed rest position (fig. 2).
A trigger 21 is also pivoted by conventional means, not shown, in the lower frame of the gun. Its front beak 22 penetrates into a notch of the trigger which also has a lower beak cooperating with a lock 23. The latter comprises a stop 24 which, in the locking position of the trigger, is housed in a release of the trigger to prevent it from being tipped over.
The latch 23 is extended towards the butt by a rod 25, pierced with an opening 26, into which penetrates the inner arm 27 of a safety lever 30 pivoted in the butt and the other arm of which is capable of entering. the latter when the pistol is picked up.
The rod 25 of the lock slides in a cylinder dre 28, into which also penetrates the lever arm 27, and which has a control lug 29 sliding in a slot in the cylinder head which is extended by a said, practi c in the cap d 'obturation. If the weapon is properly closed and in perfect working order, these two slots are in alignment, so that the lever arm 27 can be inserted therein and the rod 25 can be pushed back fully. It is only then that the release of the trigger by the safety lever 30 can take place in the direction of the arrow and that it can be tilted by pressure on the thimble 21.
The weapon having been loaded and the beating mass being in the position of FIG. 1, which can be obtained from the rest position - by pulling on a side lever not shown, pressing the trigger, after having grasped the stock and unlocked the weapon by acting on the safety lever 30, will allow the spring 8 to drive the hammer against the barrel and the striker to ignite the charge of the cartridge.
The deflagration of this charge will not only have the effect of the departure of the bullet and its passage through the barrel, but also the return of the beating mass against the bottom of the breech, where it will cling again to the trigger if the weapon is still held by the butt, but without the shooter pressing the trigger. If this trigger is kept in the firing position, the hammer will automatically perform back and forth movements until all the cartridges that are in the magazine have been fired.
Each time the beating mass compresses the spring 8, the sleeve of the cartridge which has just been drawn is carried towards the butt by means of the ex-tractor 13. At the moment when this sleeve abuts against the nozzle of the ejector, it is projected outside through the opening of the breech provided for this purpose.
