NEW TOY GUN The currently known toy guns generally include a barrel in which the bolt slides, as well as a spring subjected to compression, placed in a suitable housing, this spring is released by the action of the trigger; - each The ejected projectile must be replaced by hand by another projectile after the ejection of the previous one.
In all known toy guns of this type, the mainspring which acts for the ejection of the projectiles has the characteristic that it is kept under compression in its housing before the ejection of the projectile and it is the trigger of this spring, caused by the action of the trigger which drives the bullet out of the rifle.
This system requires in particular an exactly calibrated tube to ensure the play of the spring and the latter being subjected to compression in the period of inaction before firing, it is subjected to wear and to a fairly rapid loss of elasticity.
On the contrary, in the toy gun, object of the present invention, the main characteristic lies in the fact that in the pre-firing period, the spring controlling the ejection of the projectiles is maintained, no longer under compression, but under an appropriate tension and that it thus acts as a return spring when firing.
This system has among other advantages that the spring no longer needs to be contained in a calibration tube as precise as that required by the spring under compression; more wear is much less.
In addition, the rifle which is the subject of the invention has the additional feature of being fitted under its barrel and in front of

the firing pin, of a magazine containing several projectiles which are brought one after the other, after each operation of the bolt in the barrel of the rifle, under the pressure of a spring placed in the bottom of the magazine while in the types of rifles already known, each time the gun must be reloaded by hand. after each shot fired.
To illustrate this principle of the rifle with a spring under tension and to explain its operation, the figure of the drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.
The figure shows barrel A, an integral part of rifle B. Above this, a groove D has been machined in the bolt C in which the spring R intended to ensure the ejection of the projectiles P can play. To ensure the tension of this spring, it is fixed at its front part to the latch C and at its other end, it is fixed by appropriate means to a part M, independent of the latch, a part which acts as a striker in the barrel A. of the rifle. In the pre-firing period (loaded rifle) this return spring is adjusted in such a way that it has the appropriate tension for the ejection of the projectile.
The striker piece M, independent of the lock, is provided at its lower part with a notch N in which the end of a cam L which can pivot in the direction of the arrow around a fixed point engages. X. The trigger G when it is pulled back to eject a projectile acts by its part 0 on this cam L and turns it around the point X so as to disengage from the grip of the notch N, the striker M which keeps the return spring under tension R. At this moment, the hammer M, pulled towards the front of the barrel by the action of the spring R, strikes the projectile P placed in front of it in the barrel of the rifle and ejects it. This projectile leaves the magazine S placed under the cap in front of the firing pin M, under the pressure of the spring T.
The projectile having been ejected out of the barrel under the impact of the hammer M, the spring R will be in its rest position in compression, corresponding to that of the unloaded gun.
To reload it, we will act in the usual way by pulling the lock backwards by pivoting and pulling the handle V, which will have the effect that the firing pin when withdrawing will again discover the magazine opening. and that a new projectile will be placed in the barrel of the rifle under the impulse of the spring T, placed in the back of the magazine. By closing the latch, the cam re-engages in the notch N of the striker
M and replace the spring R under tension; therefore the rifle will be returned to its firing position for the ejection of the next projectile and so on.

This principle of the ejection of the projectile by spring under tension before firing also applies in the manufacture of toy cannons, submachine guns, revolvers etc .; for submachine guns it makes it possible, through the use of certain mechanical devices which will be described in subsequent patents, to ensure automatic firing, something which is not currently achievable with toy weapons operated by spring under compression.
