Watch waterproof. Watches leaving the factory are not adjusted in such a way as to meet the wearer's requirements. Touch-ups can hardly be avoided and when dealing with a waterproof watch, repeated openings and closings of the case affect the waterproof qualities.
The subsequent adjustments are, however, of an order of magnitude such that a retouching of the position of the racket is sufficient. So if we can penetrate to the latter without unscrewing the caseback or removing the bezel of the waterproof watch to arrive at the movement, we can easily satisfy the needs for a corrective adjustment when the watch leaves the factory.
The object of the invention is a waterproof watch which is characterized in that the back of the case has a passage which, in order for the watch to be used, is closed by a sealed positive device and which makes it possible to act on racket.
This waterproof device can be made in different ways. It may have, for example, an axis having a head which a spring bears on a package provided between said head and the bottom of the box. Preferably the head and the package will then be embedded in a recess provided on the outer face of the bottom of the box and in which they are held by a star spring fixed to the end of the pivot and comprising a curved branch capable of cooperating with the racket.
The sealed device may also include a pin pivoting in the cock and passing through the bottom of the box in a gasket forming a leaktight seal between this pin and the walls of the through hole. The peg will then have a cam by means of which one. acts on the racket against the action of a spring.
The sealed device can also be constituted by a cap screwed into said passage through which the ra- can be reached. quest for movement.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example and insofar as the understanding of the invention so requires, three embodiments of the waterproof watch according to the present invention.
Figs. 1, 2 and 3 refer to the first and show: the first a section along the line I-I of fig. 3, the second a partial view from above and the third a view of the racket of said watch from which the bottom has been removed to show the details.
Fig. 4 is a sectional view along the line IV-IV of FIG. 6.
Fig. 5 is a partial view, in section, of the watch in order for use, and FIG. 6 is a top plan view of the rack.
Fig. 7 is a sectional view along the line VII-VII of FIG. 8 which is a plan view, with part of the bottom cut away, of a sealed device making it possible to reach the. racket.
Fig. 9 is a view from below.
Referring to Figs. 1, 2 and 3, 1. Designates the bottom of the waterproof box and. 2 the rooster of the watch to which the device is adapted. In this rooster is pivoted the ankle 3; it pos sède at its outer end a slot and passes through the bottom 1 in a packetia.ge étan chéité 15 which lines the seal left between the edges of the bottom opening and the outside of this peg. The latter rests on the bridge by means of a cam 4 against the lobe of which the racket 5 is supported by a spring 6.
To retouch the position of the racket, you can handle the 3 air pin using a screwdriver and thus give the racket the desired position. The sealed device constituted here by the ankle 3 and the package 15 allows air on the setting of the watch through the back cover, therefore without opening the part and without the sealing conditions being influenced. The position of the ankle, starting from that of the racquet, can be determined by means of a concentric scale at the ankle 3.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 4 to 6, in which the parts similar to those of the previous example are designated by the same reference signs, it has been made in "the bottom of the box 1 an opening 8 whose walls are partially threaded and in which there is a plug 14 is placed by means of which it is possible to compress, against a peripheral surface of the opening, a packet 13. The reciprocal position of these parts, the watch being in order for use, is shown in Fig. 5.
If we want to touch the racket, we remove the plug 14 and pass through the opening 8 a key 7 by means of which we can cover the screw 9 planted in the bridge and then serving as a pivot. The key 7 comprises a collar 10 having a notch 11 by means of which one can grasp the tail of the racket 5. An index 12 gives the position of the notch 13 and. thus makes it possible to control on the graduation concentric with the screw 9 the angle of which the. racket.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 7, 8 and 9, the back of the watch is again designated by 1, the rooster by 2 and the racket by: 5. An opening has been pierced at the bottom where an axis 20 has been placed, having a 21 head and ending in a square \ ?? to which a star spring has been riveted 2.3. We can see the shape of the latter in particular in fi-. 9.
Three of these branches 24 are. curved in the same direction and press elastically against the back 1 of the watch to crush the package 25 under the head? 1. of] 'axis and thus create the necessary tightness. Another branch 26 of this star spring 3 is longer than the others. It is curved in the opposite direction of the branches 24 and carries a notch 27 in which the tail of the. racket 5 is introduced.
The entire device for handling the racket is here attached to the bottom. It has the advantage of being completely independent of the movement. Its tightness can therefore be particularly careful.
