Method for the automatic loading of a magazine and device for carrying out this method.
When automatically loading units that are irregularly stored in a storage container into a magazine, additional devices must always be provided that allow the units to be loaded in the correct position in front of the loading opening or those units that block the loading opening in an incorrect position from move away from this loading opening.
If the shape of the units to be loaded is simple, an agitator is often sufficient. As soon as this form becomes a more complicated one, the charging facilities also become extensive and sensitive and often give rise to disturbances in themselves.
The subject matter of the present invention is a method for automatically loading a magazine, which is characterized in that intermittent air blasts are supplied to the magazine channel.
Another object of the invention is a device for carrying out the above-mentioned method, which is characterized in that a compressed air line is fed to the upper part of the magazine channel connected to a storage container.
Appropriately, the magazine channel is expanded above the compressed air supply. This extension can be a conical one, for example.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the device for practicing the method according to the invention is shown in section t. The storage container 3 is fastened to the magazine 1 by means of the screw 2, the latter being closed off by the cover 5 through which the air channels 4 pass. In the upper part of the magazine 1, a compressed air nozzle 6 is connected, which connects a compressed air source (not shown) to the magazine channel 8 via a feed pipe 7. This magazine channel 8, into which the units 9 to be loaded are to be filled, is slightly widened conically above the attachment point 10 and ends towards the storage container 3 in the filling opening 11.
For the sake of completeness, a gripper 12 of a transport device (not shown) is also illustrated, which removes the loaded units 13 from the magazine and against which gripper the units 13 are pressed in a manner to be described.
The inventive method now consists in that through the nozzle 6, respectively. the supply line 7, the magazine channel 8 compressed air is supplied intermittently. The overpressure, which continues in both directions in the magazine channel, primarily has the effect that those units 9 to be loaded which, due to incorrect position or jamming in the conical part 14, block the magazine channel or lie on the filling opening 11, are blown back into the storage container. The compressed air escaping through the openings 4 of the cover 5 in the immediate vicinity of the filling opening 11 furthermore causes the units 9 lying there to be swirled around and thus repeatedly come to rest in a different position over the filling opening 11.
If this position corresponds to the shape of the magazine channel, the unit falls down through this magazine channel between two successive bursts of compressed air and is pressed against the stack of units 13 already loaded by the next burst of compressed air. If their relative position to the magazine channel does not allow them to pass through the latter and as a result they remain either already above the filling opening 11 or in the conical part 14, they are transported out of their position by the next push of air, whereby the part 14 and the filling opening 11 become free for the following units 9.
Finally, the downward pressure surge has the consequence that the already loaded units 13 are pressed closely together and the entire stack is pressed against the gripper 12, so that irregular spaces between these units 13 and disturbances in the transport device are prevented.
The inventive method and the device for carrying out this method made it possible to easily replace all previously known, complicated, mechanical loading units and additionally to achieve the formation of a closed stack and the pressing of this stack against the gripper of the transport device, which is particularly important is important for light units.
