The lid is like that with the valve connected to the pressurized gas cylinder that the valve is opened when the lid is opened. The lower one, the The folded-up breathing bag accommodating the housing space can, however, also pass through a downward be completed with the pull-out lid, so that the breathing bag is still protected when the lid is pulled down is.
In the known device, the lung-controlled valve on the pressure reducer and this directly connected to the pressurized gas cylinder.
The control lever of the lung-controlled valve protrudes into the breathing bag and can with its end lie in front of the lower opening of the regenerant container. When using the device so always two lids have to be opened, which is time consuming.
The device is housed in a housing 1, one part of which is used as a regeneration agent container 2 is trained. This space is delimited by a partition 3, through which a space 4 for receiving the pressurized gas cylinder 5 is disconnected. The pressurized gas cylinder can be pushed into the room from above will. The partition wall consists of the housing, which is injection-molded from plastic, for example can be made of one piece.
The regeneration agent container 2 of the housing is closed by a cover 6 on which a centrally downwardly projecting pipe socket 7 is arranged, the end of which is provided with an external thread is, in which the thread of a tube 8 axially penetrating the regeneration agent engages. The tube 8 is at its lower end of a 25 · Cover 9 closed, which is provided with a flange 10, which is arranged in a feeder 12 via a Seal 11 rests against the lower housing wall. The indentation 12 is pulled so far inwards, that the outer surface of the cover 9 of the end face is flush with the outer surface of the housing. The cover 9 can on the outside with a slot (not shown) or the like for attaching a screwing tool be provided. As a result, the cover 6 can be tightened by turning the tube 8, the Lid is pressed with its edge 13 against a seal 14 in an indentation 15 of the device housing rests on the upper end of the partition 3.
The regeneration agent is held by two conical, perforated metal sheets 16 and 17. That Tube 8 is provided at its lower end with openings 18 which are outside the range of the regenerant lie. The sheet metal 17 is provided with an indentation 19 in which a compression spring 20 is arranged which is supported at its upper end against a collar 21 of the pipe socket 7. This will when loosening the screw connection between pipe socket 7 and pipe 8, the cover 6 is pressed upwards and removed. The space 22 above the sheet 17 is free of chemicals.
The cover 6 is also provided with a large connection piece 23 for the breathing bag 24 and two in Direction to the space 22 opening check valves 25 provided. Finally, the cover 6 still has a connection piece 26 for attaching the breathing tube 27 to which the mouthpiece 28 is connected is.
The breathing bag 24 is provided with an opening for connecting the connection piece of the lung-controlled valve 29. This is connected to the closure piece 31 of the pressurized gas cylinder 5 by means of a union nut 30. The control lever 32 of the lung-controlled valve 29 protrudes into the breathing bag 24. The closure piece 31 is provided with a pin 33 as a guide means which engages in a counterpart 33 α which is attached to the housing 1. This holds the bottle and the lung-controlled valve in a certain position.
The housing is closed by a cover 34, which can be opened about the axis 35.
When the device is started up, the cover 34 is opened, as shown in FIG. 1 shown in dashed lines is. The mouthpiece 28 is removed and, while the breathing tube 27 is stretched, into the Mouth plugged. At the same time, the locking piece 31, which is preferably opened with a push button can be operated. During the inhalation through the breathing tube 27 that now follows, the Non-return valves 25 in the breathing bag 24 generates a negative pressure, whereby the walls of the breathing bag move the control lever 32 of the lung-controlled valve 29. Oxygen is now flowing in the emptied breathing bag 24 and from there via the check valves 25 to the device carrier. In the subsequent exhalation, the breathing air flows through the breathing tube 27, since the non-return valves 25 are closed, then through the sheet 17 into the regenerant container 2 and from there through the Sheet metal 16, the openings 18 and again through the tube 8 into the breathing bag 24. The air in the breathing bag is thus freed from carbonic acid. This process is repeated with every breath.
In order to prevent the breathing bag from filling up with exhaled air when the device is put on, which could result in the so-called nitrogen hazard, the breathing bag is folded and accommodated in the housing in such a way that it is in the folded-up position shown in FIG. 1 holds the lung-controlled valve 29 in the open position. Among other things, the holder of the compressed gas cylinder 5 and the valve with the pin 33 engaging in the counterpart 33 α also serve for this purpose Stiffeners, be provided. Because the lung-controlled valve is in the standby position, i.e. when the housing is closed, it is achieved that after opening the cover 34 and opening the closure piece 31, oxygen immediately flows through the lung-controlled valve 29 into the breathing bag and fills it until it is so is far inflated that he no longer pushes the control lever out of its cocked position. This achieves an oxygen pre-purge.
