Les pièces 16 et 17 portent des couteaux 20 st 21; chacun de ceux-ci est constitué par une tâte emboutie et conformée pour réaliser une partie 24 présentant une lèvre coupante 22, et -une -partie 25 formant butée limitant l'épaisseur des copeaux, les bords de ces deux parties étant dans un même plan-représenté à la fig. 3 par sa trace 26;
le sens de la flèche III. La tige 2, dont le filetage est à gauche, se déplace dans le sens de la flèche V en entraînant la broche 4 et la bague. 5 vers le support 1; simultanément des leviers 7 et 8 entraînent les tiges .30, qui actionnent rotativement les plateaux 11, ce qui a pour résultant de tendre les ressorts 13; les pièces 16 et 17 se déplacent avec les pla teaux 11, ce qui fait varier l'orientation des couteaux 20 et 21 par rapport au fruit 38;
Peeling machine. The present invention relates to a peeling machine comprising a support, provided with a fixing device, and a fruit-carrying spindle driven by a crank, characterized by the fact that this spindle is solid with a threaded rod. carried by the support, the end of a finger coming into engagement with the thread of this rod, this finger being movable laterally to the rod in order to be able to be released from the thread of the latter, the support being provided with a part in the shape of a U whose branches carry two knives,
the whole being arranged so that, the end of the finger being in engagement with the thread of the rod, a rotation of the crank causes a rotation and an axial displacement of the spindle, and, simultaneously, a displacement of the knives. such that they score a fruit threaded onto the spindle along two helical lines with variable pitch offset axially with respect to one another, the axial displacement of the spindle towards the support being effected against a antagonistic force.
The drawing shows, as. for example, an embodiment of the peeling machine, object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a front view along the axis of the spindle.
Fig. 2 is a partial side view according to arrow I of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a side view of a knife. Fig. 4 is a plan view thereof. The fi--. 5 is a front view.
Fig. 5 'is a sectional view of a cutter along the line VII VII of FIG. 3. Fig. 6 is a view of the notches drawn on a fruit by the knives, and FIG. 7 is a sectional view of the support4o and the U-shaped part taken along the line VIII-VIII of FIG. 1.
The machine shown comprises a support 1 provided with a fixing device (not shown) for fixing it to a table 45 for example. Through this support is made a bore in which is freely mounted a rod 2 provided with a left-hand thread. At one of its ends, the rod 2 is provided with a crank 3, and at its other end it is integral with a fruit-carrying pin 4.
.At the spindle-side end of the rod 2 is rotatably mounted a ring 5 which, longitudinally, is immobilized on the rod 2. 5s A part 6, in the form of a U, is mounted on the part 1 'of the support 1 through the middle of its base and coaxially with pin 2.
The part 6 has two branches 6 'on each of which is articulated one of the ends of a lever 7, respectively 8, the other end of each of these levers being articulated to the ring 5; each of these levers 7, respectively 8, is articulated to the corresponding branch 6 'by means of a screw 6s passing through a slot 9 of the lever, in order to allow its rotation.
At the end-10 of each of the branches 6 'is mounted, so as to be able to turn, a shaft 12, carrying a plate 11 provided with a pi vot 15. Around the shaft 12 is wound a spring' 13 fixed , on the one hand, to the plate 11 and, on the other hand, to the wall of a housing 14 in which this shaft 12 is engaged; the axes of the housings 14 are perpendicular to the axis of the rod 2.
On the pivots 15 are mounted. rotating parts. 16, respectively 17, each being able to turn against the action of a spring 18, respectively 19, the rotation due to each of the latter being limited by a stopper, not shown , with which is provided the piece.16, respectively 17, .cor respondante, this stop coming to bear on the corresponding plate 11. The springs 18 and 19 keep the knives in contact with the fruit.
Pieces 16 and 17 carry knives 20 st 21; each of these consists of a stamped head and shaped to produce a part 24 having a cutting lip 22, and -a -part 25 forming a stop limiting the thickness of the chips, the edges of these two parts being in the same plane -represented in fig. 3 by its trace 26;
a free space 41 is formed between the wall 27 'of the part 24 of each knife and the end of the corresponding part 16, respectively 17, for the passage of the peeling chips.
The knives 20 and 21, of elongated shape, are fixed to the parts 16 and 17 by means of screws 27, respectively 28.
The part 6 being rotatably mounted on the support 1, the knives 20 and 21 can be arranged so that, before any peeling operation, the most protruding ends of the lips 22 thereof determine a line II. -II, fig. 1,
passing through the axis of the spindle 2 and forming with the vertical axis of the support 1 an angle α of approximately 55 which is the most favorable in this embodiment.
To each of the plates 11 is articulated, at a point 29, one of the ends of a rod 30, the other end of which is articulated to the lever 7, respectively 8; the length of each of these rods 30 can be adjusted by means of a threaded sleeve 31.
One of the side faces of the base of the part 6 comprises a spur 32, split in its middle to house a lever 33 therein; the latter is rotatably mounted on a transverse pin 34, and has a flat head 35 which is engaged under a flat spring 36, the two ends of which are fixed to the part 6.
The inner face of the head 35 carries a cylindrical finger 37, FIG. 2 "movable in the part 6 and in a housing 37 'of the support 1, the end of this finger coming, under the action of the spring 36, into engagement with the thread of the rod 2. By pressing. the lever 33, the finger 37 is moved laterally to the rod 2, so that it disengages from the thread of the latter.
The cutting parts 24 of the knives 20 and 21 trace on the surface of a fruit 38, fig. 6, notches 39 and 40 describing helical lines with variable pitch offset axially with respect to each other; the arrangement can be chosen so that these notches are contiguous.
The peeling machine shown is used as follows: The rod 2 being pushed fully into the support 1, a fruit 38 is threaded on the spindle 4, then the crank $ -is actuated in.
the direction of the arrow III. The rod 2, the thread of which is on the left, moves in the direction of the arrow V, driving the spindle 4 and the ring. 5 to support 1; simultaneously levers 7 and 8 drive the rods .30, which rotate the plates 11, which results in tensioning the springs 13; the pieces 16 and 17 move with the plates 11, which varies the orientation of the knives 20 and 21 relative to the fruit 38;
when this is peeled, said knives are near the free end of the spindle 4 and the shank 2 is screwed into the holder 1, the lever 33 is then pressed and rotates around the ankle 34 against the spring 36; the finger 37 is released from the thread of the rod 2 which is then returned to its starting position by the action of the springs 13 acting on the ring 5 via the plates 11, the rods 30 and the levers 7 and 8 .
