Der erzielte rote Pastellton ist völiig gleichmässig;

Process for dyeing or printing textile materials made of synthetic fibers. It is known to dye textile materials synthetic fibers in such a way that the dyes are in the form of solutions or suspensions and then fixed by heating . Referred e.g.
B. on the in "American Dyestuff Reporter" 1949, page 593, described Thermosol process. It is also known to provide textile materials made of synthetic table fibers antistatic, with certain polyalkylene ethers themselves,
with formaldehyde or with formaldehyde releasing substances on the material at temperatures below < B> 130 C condenses, the textile material being coated in which, among other things, inorganic pigments can also be incorporated; see. French patent 1 222 270.
It has now been found that the above-mentioned thermosol process can be improved in an unexpected manner by working in the presence of certain polyethers ar.
The present invention therefore provides a method for dyeing or printing textile materials made of synthetic fibers, in which dyes of an organic nature are padded or printed in the form of solutions or suspensions and then heated to temperatures

Printing takes place in the presence of polyethers containing polyethylene glycol residues and residues with at least five carbon atoms directly bonded to one another in multiple alternation as chain links.
Suitable polyethers are, for example, the condensation products which are made from polyethylene glycols, oxethylated di- and polyalcohols, oxethylated di- and polyphenols, oxethylated mono- and polyamines or oxethylated di- and polycarboxylic acids on the one hand and from aliphatic,
cycloaliphatic or aromatic dicarboxylic acids, thiodiglycol or others, e.g. e.g. in the French patent 1 201 171 On the other hand, 8'-dihydroxyalkyl sulfides described are obtainable.
Furthermore, the polyaddition products of polyethylene glycols or of oxyethylation products of the above are mentioned > Type of D1- and polyocyanates, such as B. of hexamethylene diisocyanate, toluylene diisocyanate, 4,4'- Diisocyanatodiphenylmethane, 4,4'-diisocyanatodicyclohexylmethane or W,
hl'-diisocyanatoxylene, or to divinyleulphones. In addition the copolymers come into consideration, made of ethylene oxide and cyclohexene oxide or styrene oxide, where applicable if with the addition of propylene oxide, are available, as well as the copolymers those from </ B> ethylene oxide and phenylglycid ether, cresyl glycid ether,
Methoxyphenyl glycidyl ether or p- or m-phenylene diglycidyl ether can be prepared . Particularly suitable are the polyethers obtained from the oxethylation products of diphenols, especially from the oxethylation products of resorcinol, hydroquinone, 4,4'-dioxydiphenylmethane, 4,4'-dioxydiphenylpropane and 4,
4'-Dioxydiphenylsulfon, are produced.
In general esstch recommends using those polyethers which result in at least 1% solutions in water at room temperature. The water solubility of the polyethers is increased with increasing content of ether oxygen atoms and / or hydrophilic groups, such as hydroxyl groups, amino groups, ammonium groups, sulfoxide groups, sulfone groups,
Sulfonic acid groups or carboxyl groups.
The textile materials that can be dyed or printed with the aid of the process according to the invention can be based on a wide variety of synthetic products, for example polyacrylonitrile, the copolymers of acrylonitrile with other vinyl compounds, such as.
B. acrylic esters, acrylamides, vinyl pyridine, vinyl chloride or vinylidene chloride, rolyamides, such as. 15. folycaproiac # !, am, F @ olyadipiri- säurehexamethylendiamid, poly - "> - amino-undecanoic acid, or polyurethanes or polyesters, such as z.
those made from terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol or 1,4-dimethylolcyclohexane.
Furthermore, the process of the present invention includes the dyeing or printing of such textile materials which are made from cellulose esters, e.g. b. made from cellulose triacetate or butyrate. In addition, there are also mixed fabrics made of synthetic fibers or Yisch fabric made of synthetic fibers and fibers of native origin, such as. b. dolle or cotton, possible.
As in the case of the known dyeing process cited at the outset, the most diverse dyes can also be used in the present case, e.g.
B. disperse dyes, vat dyes, acid wool dyes, metal complex dyes or basic dyes. Mixed fabrics can pass through appropriate choice of dyes single-bath or multi-bath - if necessary with inclusion an exhaust process - dyeing, if desired also </ B> selective.
The polyethers which can be used according to the invention are generally preferred in amounts of 0.2 to 10% @ 0, 5 - 4 9 @. based on the block solution resp. Printing paste used.
They are generally added to the finished block solution or the printing paste , but they can also be mixed with the dyes.
The method according to the invention guarantees a completely uniform distribution of dyes before and after fixing.
The take-up of the block liquor, which is very difficult with hydrophobic fibers, is favored; this eliminates the need to use the otherwise necessary thickening agents which often retain dye,
often give cause to formation of paraffin conglomerates and lead to sticking of the dyeing equipment. Furthermore, the polyethers increase the dye yield significantly;
above all, they enable perfect dyeing even when using several dyes. Two-sidedness and edge runoff in the dyeing are prevented. In addition, the polyethers can be washed out and reserve available native fibers if necessary. With the method according to the invention, further aids can also be used, e.g. B.
Plasticizers to influence the handle of the textile material or urea to increase the solubility of the dyes in the aqueous liquor or carriers to increase the penetration of the dyes into the fibers. A particular embodiment of the present invention consists in that, in addition to polyethers, the dye liquor contains the groups condensable with formaldehyde, such as B.
Re sorcin, hydroquinone, phenol or aniline groups, or formaldehyde or formaldehyde-releasing compounds or compounds containing methylol or methylol ether groups are added; In this way, the textile materials can be dyed in a single bath and made washable and antistatic. These advantageous results can be achieved with the aids that are used in the dyeing or dyeing process under consideration.
Printing methods proposed so far do not achieve @ to the same extent. The used in the following examples (a) to (e) are explained in the list at the end of the description. Example 1 A fabric made of polyethylene terephthalate fibers is impregnated on the padder with a liquor which contains 20 g of the dye (a) and 20 g of the polyether described below per liter.
The fabric is then squeezed off to a weight increase of about 70 9b and dried in a floating nozzle dryer at 100 C; the fabric is then treated with hot air at 190 ° C. for 60 seconds in the same device or in a tenter to fix the dye, then rinsed and washed hot. The fabric has a completely uniform and perfectly fixed yellow color.
The color shade is fuller than with a color that can be achieved using the same amount of colorant (based on the fabric) using the known thermosol process or the exhaust process using commercially available carriers.
The polyether used had been prepared in the following manner: Oxethylated resorcinol with a molecular weight of 1100 was treated with thiodiglycol / molar ratio 1: 1.8 in the presence of 1 percent by weight of phosphoric acid at a temperature of 180-1850C initially at normal pressure, later in vacuo 10 to 15 mm Hg condensed until a hydroxyl number of 20 to 22 was reached.
Example 2- A fabric made of polyethylene terephthalate fibers is treated as described in Example 1 with a liquor containing 30 g of dye (a), 5 g of dye (b), 3 g of dye (c ) and 20 g of the polyether described in Example 1 contains. The fabric treated in this way shows a completely uniform brown color after the usual finishing. Without the use of the polyether, you get an uneven coloration in which the individual color components can be clearly seen.
Example 3 A fabric made of polyacrylonitrile threads is treated as described in Example 1 with a liquor containing 3 g of the substance (C), 20 g of the polyether described in Example 1, and 8 g of the condensation product per liter from octaethylene glycol and dimethylolurea as well as 2 g buty1naphthalene sulphonic acid. After the usual finish, the fabric has an even shade of blue, and it also has an antistatic effect that is washable.
Even after 10 washes with normal mild detergents, the surface resistance is often less than that of untreated fabric. Example 4 A fabric made of @ polyacrylonitrile threads is treated with a liquor that contains 2, 1 liter Contains 5 g of the dye (d), 20 g of the polyether described below and 2.7 g of ethoxylated oleyl alcohol. The fabric is then heated to 1800C for 1 minute to fix the dye.
The red pastel shade achieved is completely uniform;

The colorimetric measurement shows that the pulp yield is 40% higher than when using a solution that does not contain polyether.
The polyether used was the addition of oxethylated resorcinol with a molecular weight of 1300 to hexamethylene diisocyanate in a molar ratio of 7:
6 has been produced. Example 6 A mixed fabric made of 55% polyethylene terephthalate fibers and 45% wool is dyed as described in Example 1 with a liquor containing 25 g of dye (c), 4 g of dye (d), 3 g per liter of the dye (s), 20 g of the polyether containing sulfoxide groups described below, 4 g of sodium butylnaphthalenesulfonic acid and 4 g of butylnaphthalenesulfonic acid.
The navy blue coloration achieved on the polyester fiber portion shows neither edge nor end runs; the wool portion of the fabric that is not dyed is re-dyed in a known manner with customary wool dyes, which also give a navy blue coloration, on the reel skid, so that a uniformly colored navy blue cloth is obtained.
After 400 m of the fabric has been processed, no sublimated or mechanically rubbed dyes can be found on the floating nozzle dryer or in the needle beds of the tenter frame.
The polyether used had been prepared by oxidation of the polyether described in Example 1 with 1 mol of hydrogen superoxide per mol of the thiodyglycol contained in the polyether. Example 7 A polyethylene terephthalate tape, as it is used for the manufacture of seat belts, is dyed with a liquor containing 30 g of the dye (c), 3.5 g of the dye (i.e. per liter) ), 13 g of the dye (e), 20 g of the polyether described below and 2 g of butylnaphthalene sulfonic acid.
The dyeing method corresponds to the procedure given in Example 1, with the difference that the tape is squeezed off to an increase in weight of 30 j. A gray coloration is obtained which, after a reductive aftertreatment, is distinguished by good fastness properties and by a particularly deep coloration.
The polyether used had been produced by condensation of oxethylated resorcinol with a molecular weight of 1700 with di- (ss-hydroxypropyl) sulfide in a molar ratio of 1: 3 until a molecular weight of 6400 was reached.
Example 8 A fabric made of polyethylene terephthalate fibers is impregnated on the padder with a liquor containing 80 g of dye (c), 30 g of the polyethylene described below and 3 g of sodium methylene-bis-naphthalenesulfonate per liter.
After squeezing to a weight increase of about 70%, the fabric is dried as indicated in Example 1 and the dyeing is then fixed. A perfectly fixed one is obtained

Blue coloration which, after a reductive aftertreatment with a liquor containing 3 g of sodium hydroxide solution and 2 g of hydrosulfite per liter, has excellent rub fastness. The dye yield is about 50% higher than in a comparative experiment carried out without the polyether.
The polyether used was obtained by heating oxethylated N-methylethanolamine with a molecular weight of 1000 for four hours with hexamethylene diisocyanate in a molar ratio of 100:
92 to 100 C. Instead of the polyether given above, the polyether obtained by heating oxyethylated n-butyldiethanolamine with a molecular weight of 1200 with sebacic acid until the molecular weight of the resulting product is 5000 can be used with the same effect.
