Abstract
Description
For dyeing wool and wool / polyamide mixtures with anionic Dyes and of wool / polyester blends with dispersion and anionic Dyes is a process known (DE-OS 27 24 644) in which as a fiber protection agent an optionally etherified N-methylolurea is added to the dyebath for the wool will.
It has now been found that when dyeing wool and wool / polyamide mixtures with anionic dyes and of wool / polyester blends with dispersion and anionic dyes, the fiber damage to wool can be further reduced can if the wool-containing fiber materials with anionic dyes in the presence be colored by trimethylol acetaldehyde.
When carrying out the process according to the invention, the dye liquor usually 0.2 to 15% by weight, preferably 1 to 5% by weight of trimethylol acetaldehyde added. Trimethylolacetaldehyde is a well-known compound and can be used in the context of of the present invention can also be used in the form of their aqueous solution. The rest of the time is dyed as usual. The wool-containing fiber material, i.e. fiber material from pure wool or from mixtures of wool / polyamide or wool / polyester, can available in all processing states, e.g. as yarn, flake, knitted fabric or Fleece. All anionic metal or metal-containing dyes can be used be used for dyeing suitable for wool or synthetic polyamide are. Such dyes can also contain reactive groups that are involved in dyeing react with the substrate. For dyeing the polyester part in wool / polyester blends the known disperse dyes are used. Appropriately come to Dyeing of wool / polyester blends the commercial blends of anionic and disperse dyes are used.
Bekannte carrierwirksame Substanzen sind z.B.The dye liquors are determined in terms of the amount of dye and other additives prepared as usual. In particular, the pH of the dye liquors is adjusted with acids or acidic salts adjusted to about 2 to 6.5, preferably 4.0 to 5.8. Inorganic and organic acids such as sulfur, Phosphoric, formic, acetic and oxalic acid suitable. Acid reacting salts are e.g. sodium, ammonium acetate or ammonium sulfate. When dyeing wool / polyester blends the liquor can also use dye accelerators (carriers) in quantities of approx. 0.1 to 4 g / l contain. Known carrier-active substances are e.g.
Methyl naphthalene, diphenyl, diphenylene oxide, polychlorobenzenes, benzoic acid esters etc. Furthermore, the dye liquors can use the usual electrolyte leveling, dispersing and / or wetting agents and / or defoamers. The liquor ratio can e.g. 1: 1 to 1: 100. The 0 dyeing temperature can be 60 to 130 0. It is colored until the desired color is achieved. Pure wool can after the exhaust process at temperatures of 60 to 1200C, in particular 95 to 1060C to be colored. Polyester / wool blends can either be without a carrier the HT process at temperatures of over 100 ° C in closed apparatus or be dyed in the presence of carriers at temperatures below 1060C. Usually the material to be dyed is put into an approx. 40 to 5000 warm liquor, which contains all auxiliaries but not the dye and leaves the material approx. 5 to 15 minutes in this fleet. Then the dye is added and the Temperature increased to dyeing temperature. After completion of the dyeing process the staining is completed as usual.
Man erhält farbstarke egale Färbungen mit guten Echtheiten.Strong, level dyeings with good fastness properties are obtained.
Compared to the use of N-methylolureas as a wool preservative occurs, especially when dyeing under HT conditions, by the invention The addition of trimethylolacetaldehyde provides better protection for the wool, e.g. manifests itself in a lower loss of tear strength.
Compared to the known addition of formaldehyde, one becomes essential lower odor nuisance achieved.
