Fig. 2 ist eine Draufsicht zu Fig. 1.
Closing device on containers for tightening the lid on the container body.
The present invention relates to a locking device on containers, which is intended for pulling the lid onto the container body and which is characterized by the fact that. On the end of the container body to be closed there is a rotatable locking ring, which is in drive connection with an actuation device, behind which the engaging ends of several locking arms provided on the lid can be guided, with the parts of the locking arms and the locking ring that come directly into contact with one another are trained
that the lid is attracted to the container body by a rotary movement imparted to the latter when the person reaching over behind the locking ring.
The locking arms are expediently provided with rollers at their ends that engage behind, with which wedge surfaces provided on the locking ring can interact.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a front view of a broken part of a container with a lid provided with the example.
FIG. 2 is a plan view of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a section on the line IIrIII in Fig. 1, and
Fig. 4 is a similar section as in Fig. 3, but in the closed position of the lid.
In FIGS. 1-4, a is the body of a horizontally arranged container, and b is the cover for it, which is pivotably mounted in a manner not shown here. The end part of the container body a facing the cover b carries a flange ring ai to which a flange ring bl provided on the cover b is assigned. The flange ring a1 is provided with a rearwardly projecting attachment part on which a locking ring c is rotatably mounted. This ring c, which lies on the end of the container body to be closed and which, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, is guided on both sides by means of rolling elements, has tightening elements d which form wedge surfaces at the top on its rear side.
The flange ring but z is in turn provided with several VerschluBarmen e, on whose rear engaging rear engaging rollers el are mounted, which are assigned recesses cl in the locking ring c, through which the rollers el can be passed when closing the cover b, so that Behind-reaching ends, as shown in FIG. 4, can be guided behind the ring c.
The locking ring c is in drive connection with an actuating device, of which only one toothed segment f attached to the ring c and a gear g in engagement with it is shown in FIG. which latter can be set in rotation by hand or motor-driven drive means, not shown here, in order to give the locking ring a corresponding rotary movement.
If the lid b rests on the container body a (FIG. 4), when the ring c rotates in the direction of the arrow drawn in FIG. 1, the wedge-shaped tightening elements d engage with the rollers e1, whereby the lid b with it its flange ring bl is pressed with wedge action against the flange ring a 'provided on the m container body, the latter being provided with a sealing insert a2 for the purpose of better sealing. The parts d, el form the parts of the locking arms that come directly to act on one another.
