Durch einen einzigen He beldruck erfolgt. das Öffnen des Hahnes in zwei Arbeitsgängen. Drückt man auf die Kugel 49, so hebt man damit vermittels des zweiarmigen -Hebels 46 die Schubstange 40, 43, 44, den Kolben 41 und den Dichtungs konus 42; dadurch werden vorerst die Öff nungen 30, die zusammen im Querschnitt viel grösser sind als die beiden Einlassöffnun- gen 53 und 54, freigegeben, so, dass die Flüs sigkeit und damit der Druck im Raum 63 durch die Öffnung 32 abfliessen kann;
Automatically closing tap for dispensing certain amounts of liquid. The invention relates to an automatically closing tap, so-called "fluehometer", for dispensing certain amounts of liquid. This flushometer can be used, for example, to flush the toilet or to fill a container, for example a bathtub or a barrel, to be used.
Flushometers are known which return to their starting position by spring pressure or line pressure, with a fluid brake 01 or glycerine braking the closing movement in a well-sealed part. As long as the brake reservoir is well filled, a flushometer works quite well, but with prolonged use, wear and evaporation create a vacuum over time, and then the dreaded water jolt occurs with a noise.
Since the pressure lines have different pressures, it must be possible to regulate the closing of the flushometer from the outside in such a way that a certain amount of water has free passage within a certain period of time, and in addition, the closing must be slower towards the end than at the beginning in order to avoid water flashbacks to avoid. In the self-closing tap according to the invention, the disadvantages mentioned are eliminated.
According to the invention, the faucet is characterized in that it has a hydraulic brake cylinder with an inner piston and an outer reserve container, which is fixedly installed in the space into which the liquid passes after flowing through the closure valve that the reserve container is installed in each case The tap is automatically refilled with liquid when the tap is opened, the tap being opened by pressing down a lever, creating a central push rod to which a sealing cone is attached,
is pulled up and thus an outlet opening is opened in order to first release the pressure acting on the closure valve, then when the lever is further depressed, the sealing cone itself takes up the closure valve. The drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section of the self-closing tap; 2 is a view of the pressure inlet cylinder as a single piece; FIG. 3 is a cross section on line I-I of FIG. 1.
In the flushometer shown, the upper part of the housing is marked with 1, the lower part with 2 and the nozzle located for connection to a pressure water line with 3 be. The upper housing part 1 is closed at the top by means of the threaded pressure ring 4, which presses the cover 5 at its edge 6 on the pressure chamber closure cover 7 and the latter onto the pressure inlet cylinder 8. The cover 5 has the tubular extension 9 in the center at the top, and the lever bearing arm 10 is seated on this.
The pressure inlet cylinder 8 has an inner recess below the inlet connector 3 in which the sealing ring BEZW. the valve seat fits into it; - and this is taken from below by means of the threaded ring 12.
Below half of this threaded ring 12, so already in the outlet space 13, is the hydraulic brake cylinder 14, and this is connected by the Spei surfaces 15 to the outer ring 16, the outer diameter of which corresponds to the inner diameter of the housing 1 and 2.
The brake cylinder 14 is pressed against the lower end face of the pressure inlet cylinder 8 with the threaded ring 17, which presses on the outer ring 16. The brake cylinder 14 has a conical groove 18, an annular groove 19 and a straight groove 20 in its inner wall and the liquid inlet opening 21 in the bottom. These openings 21 are covered by a plate 71 of the valve 64.
Below this base is the valve chamber 22, to which the valve seat cover 23 is screwed with its bores 24 and 25, and to this in turn the liquid reserve container 20.
In the pressure inlet cylinder B, the shut-off valve 27 with its tubular attachment 28 is axially displaceable. Above the valve 27, a support-shaped sleeve 68, provided with openings 69 in its base, can be displaced in the cylinder 8. In the base of this closure valve 27 is the hollow screw 29 with the inlet openings 30,
the conical valve seat 31 and the outlet opening 32 screwed. The threaded cover 33 is screwed to it at the top, and this has the opening 34.
The pressure chamber cover 7 has zen cally the pipe socket 35, in the interior of which the stuffing box 36 is arranged and which carries a sheet metal sleeve 38 on the outside for guiding the compression spring 37 - which is provided with the opening 39. Through the longitudinal axis of the apparatus - in the center is the three-sliver push rod, the lower part 40 of which carries the brake calving 41 below, while the sealing cone 42 is attached above.
The lower part 40 is screwed into the middle part 43, which passes through the stuffing box 36; then carries the sheet metal sleeve 38 and then -screwed into the upper part 44, which has a slot at the top in which the lever arm 46 is rotatably mounted on the bolt 45 of the lever. This is in turn rotatably mounted on the bolt 47, which is slidably mounted in the bearing arm 10, which is why the elongated hole 48 was made in the lever arm 46 and in the bearing arm 10. The ball 49 is firmly attached to the other end of the two-armed lever arm 46.
The apparatus is closed at the bottom by the outlet connection 50, to which the flushing or outlet line 51 is attached by means of a union nut 70. The pressure inlet cylinder 8 has a thin longitudinal bore 52, two small transverse bores 53 and 54, and also the throughflow openings 55, 56, 57, the width of which decreases downwards and the lower ends of which protrude downwards to different degrees.
The dowel pin 58 is only there so that the bore 59 in the pressure chamber closure cover 7 comes to lie precisely over the bore 52 during assembly. The sheet metal lid 60 serves as a cladding. After loosening the ring 4, the lever 46 can be brought into different positions by rotating the cover 5 about the push rod axis.
The function of the apparatus is as follows: The pressure of the liquid in the line 61 also acts in the space 62 and through the openings 53 and 54 in the space. 63 off. The liquid reserve container 26 is always filled; because it is refilled every time the tap is opened.
Takes place with a single lever pressure. opening the tap in two steps. If you press on the ball 49, you lift the push rod 40, 43, 44, the piston 41 and the sealing cone 42 by means of the two-armed lever 46; as a result, the openings 30, which together are much larger in cross section than the two inlet openings 53 and 54, are initially released so that the liquid and thus the pressure in the space 63 can flow off through the opening 32;
now the upper face of the sealing cone 42 abuts the threaded cover 33 and thus pulls the closure valve 27, 28 upwards, while at the same time the brake piston 41 has to move upwards, which thereby sucks in the valve 64; so that the water in the reserve tank 26 has to get into the brake cylinder 14 through the bores 25, 24, 22 and 21. Since the closure valve 27, 28 is now at the top, the liquid flows through the openings 55, 56 57 to the outlet line 51 and fills the reserve container 26 in the process.
The tensioned by the lever movement 46 compression spring 37 now presses on the sheet metal sleeve 38 and thus on the push rod 40, 43, 44, which presses with its piston 41 \ on the liquid previously sucked in the brake cylinder; as a result, the valve 64 closes the bore 24, and the fluid in the brake cylinder 14 can only escape through the conical groove 18, annular groove 19 and groove 20.
The purpose of the groove 20 is to ensure that the sealing piston 27, 28 - firstly descends evenly, while afterwards, towards the end of the closing process, the same progressively slows down as a result of the conical groove 18 to prevent water backlash.
For the same reason, the openings 55, 56, 57 are narrower downwards and their ends are also stepped in the direction of the end of the closing gear, so that a quantitative reduction in inlet takes place towards the end of the closing gear. As soon as the upper end edge of the pipe socket 28 has passed the opening 53 from the closing valve 27, the pressure fluid enters the space 63, presses the closing valve 27, 28 and thus helps the compression spring 37, the closing valve 27, 28 firmly on the ven to press tilsitz 11 and thus to close the tap.
The liquid also presses through the opening 34 onto the upper end face of the sealing cone 42, and this thus closes the inlet openings 30. It is known that stuffing boxes no longer provide a desirable seal after prolonged use. As a precaution, a device has been made here which consists in that any small amounts of liquid that could escape at the top of the stuffing box 36, through the opening 39 into the bores 59, 52 and 65 and from here into the outlet 51 have to leave.
The device is constructed in such a way that it lets a certain amount of liquid flow through it in a certain time. To make this possible at low and high pressures, there are four possible settings in the present design. First, the pressure inlet cylinder 8 can be exchanged, which has more or fewer inlet openings 55, 56, 57 depending on the pressure present. Secondly, by regulating the stroke from the outside by moving the lever axis 47 in the elongated hole 48.
Third, from the outside by turning: on the adjusting screw 66, which is attached in the lever bearing arm 10. Fourth, regulation from the outside, by turning the adjusting screw 67, which is placed on the lever 46. The latter three adjustments from the outside are possible for any layperson with a screwdriver or with just two fingers. The whole housing can be made of metal, e.g. B. made of light metal. However, synthetic resin can also be used for the housing as well as for the inner parts.
