Device for controlling a machine tool. The object of the invention is a device for controlling a machine tool having a clutch and a speed selector subject to the same control member and comprising a control unit coupled, in a direction of rotation, with the selector of speeds and, in the other, with the clutch, this device further comprising a device for locking the direction of rotation preventing the operation of the selector as soon as the disengagement has been initiated, the device being characterized in that the device locking comprises a rocker cooperating with feelers and preventing the movements of one if the other is not in a determined place.
A preferred embodiment has a numbering wheel corresponding to the various positions of the selector, as well as a cam integral with the clutch mechanism. The counting wheel and this cam have notches into which fall the feelers, the rods of which are located under the ends of the rocker which allows only the movements of one of them.
The numbering wheel, respectively the cam, can be driven by means of a ratchet wheel of different direction, or else by means of a differential whose planetary wheels are blocked according to the direction of rotation of the axis of the satellites.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the control device forming the subject of the invention, in two schematic sections through the main axis of the aggregate that it comprises.
Referring to fig. 1, 30 designates an axis on which is wedged a wheel 31, the periphery of which is provided with notches 32, in which takes a locking roller 33 that a spring 34 always maintains in engagement with the wheel 31. The rod 35 of this roller slides in a bearing 36.
This wheel 31 carries, on one of its faces, a pawl 37 and, on the other, a pawl 53, which are turned on one side, the other on the other, so that, when the 'axis 30 rotates in the dextrorsal direction, the pawl 37 drives a ratchet wheel integral with a numbering wheel 38, while, when the axis 30 rotates in the other direction, the pawl 53 drives an integral ratchet wheel of a cam 39. The numbering wheel 38 has as many notches 40 as there are possible positions on the gear selector, while the cam 39 has only one notch 41 which, when it is screwed on -with respect to a locking roller 42, corresponds to the disengaged position of the machine tool which is controlled by means of the device.
The hub 43 of the cam 39 also carries an eccentric 44 in relation, by a connecting rod 45, with the clutch. The hub of the counting wheel 38 comprises an angle pinion 46 in connection with the gear selector.
The rods 47 and 48 of the stop rollers 42, respectively 49, are all located two under the ends of a lever 50 which is placed sufficiently close to these two rods to allow the exit of only one of the rollers. at a time.
The operation of this device is similar to that which has been described in the main patent. When turning the handwheel 51, which can be placed anywhere on the machine and on which is a scale 52, allowing the position of the counting wheel 38 to be identified, the latter is driven by the pawl 37, when the rotation is dextrorsum, while it is the cam 39 which participates in the movement when the steering wheel is turned senestrorsum. This last operation can only be done if the stop roller 49 is in a notch of the counting wheel, that is to say if it leaves the rocker the space necessary to allow the movement of rod 47.
The opposite is also the case: The positioning of the selector components can only be brought about if the feeler 42 is in the notch corresponding to the disengagement of the machine.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, we see an axle 60 on which is wedged a hub 61 which carries the axles 62 of planet wheels 63. These belong to a differential gear whose planetary wheels 64 and 65 are idle on the shaft 60. These two wheels planetary 64 and 65 are integral with ratchet wheels 66 and 67 in the teeth of which take pawls 68 and 69 of different directions. As a result, each of the planetary wheels can only rotate in one direction. The hub of the wheel 66 also carries a numbering wheel 70, the notches of which correspond to the different positions of the speed selector on which it is possible to act by means of a bevel gear 71. A locking roller 72, of which the rod 74 slides in bearings 75, is pushed into these notches by a spring 73.
The hub of the planetary wheel 65 carries a cam 76 having a notch 77 into which a spring 79 pushes a stopper roller 78. The rod 80 of this stopper roller slides in bearings 81. The hub of the stopper sun gear 65 also has an eccentric 82 which cooperates with a connecting rod 83 connected to the main clutch lever. These operations are carried out by means of a flywheel 84 placed anywhere on the machine, for example on the tool carriage or on the headstock housing.
Above the rods 74 and 80 of the stop rollers 72 and 78 is a lever 86, the two ends of which are arranged in such a way that it is impossible for one of the rollers to come out of any of the notches. with which it works without the other roller being in a notch too, It will result, as moreover in the embodiment which has been described above, that the choice of speeds can only be done when the machine is disengaged, that is to say when the stop roller 78 is in the corresponding notch and it is impossible to disengage if a gear selection has been initiated by means of the flywheel 84 and released, therefore, the locking roller 72 of the notches with which it cooperates.
This selection, once initiated, can not either, because of the pawls 67 and 68, go back with the satellites. We are obliged to complete the selection movement before being able to disengage. The selection and disengagement are effected by means of the flywheel 84 by means of which the satellites 63 are rotated which communicate their movement to that of the planetary wheels which is not blocked by the pawl and the ratchet wheel which 'she wears.
