Kaminhut.
The subject of the present invention is a chimney hat with air channels arranged on all sides, characterized in that the inlet openings for the air into the chimney are at least partially arranged on the lower surface of the chimney hat, such that rising air currents from all sides through these 'channels into the Ka min can flow in.
On the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention is shown. 1, 3 and 5 represent top views and FIGS. 2, 4 and 6 are side views of the individual structural components.
Fig. 7 is a vertical section through a chimney hat placed on a fireplace.
In this example, the chimney hat consists of three structures. On the upper edge of the chimney 1, the body 2 shown in Fig. 1 and 2 is placed in the form of a truncated pyramid. On the rising side edges it has ribs 3 which serve as spacers in order to form the air channels 4 entering from the underside of the chimney cap. A smoke channel 5 corresponding to the chimney opening leads through the center of this body 2 in the vertical direction. Another body 6 is placed over the body 2, the surfaces of which are smooth inside and out.
With the inner surfaces of this body 6 is supported on the ribs 3 of the body 2, the air ducts 4 being laterally limited by these ribs. This body 6 is also traversed by a channel 7, which at the upper end has the same cross section as the channel 5 in the body 2. The upper ends of the rising edges of the just if a hollow truncated pyramid darstel lenden body 6 are also with ribs. 8, which also serve to limit air ducts 9.
On this the upper closing body 10 is set up with a likewise vertically continuous channel 11, the lower, inner boundary surface 12 of which in turn forms a truncated pyramid jacket.
The cross-sections of all air ducts decrease steadily from the inlet opening to the outlet, as a result of which the air speed in these ducts increases towards the outlet in order to generate the necessary suction effect on these flue gases.
This chimney hat is especially intended for those cases where rising wind currents are to be used to support the chimney draft.
The inlet openings in the lower air channels are located on the underside of the mantelpiece in a horizontal plane, so that the chimney can flow rising air flows directly into these channels. In addition, there is a second such channel system above this lower air channel system, the inlet openings of which are arranged laterally, which serve to introduce air currents arriving in the horizontal direction towards the chimney into the chimney hat.
According to this example, which has two air duct systems, one with entry openings on the underside and the other with entry openings on the side, the chimney cap consists of three structures, two of which together enclose a duct system. If there is only one duct system, the chimney hat is composed of air ducts arranged on all sides, characterized in that the chimney hat is composed of only two components.
