Description
Elektrode für Lichtbogenöfen. Die bei Lichtbogenöfen mit konzentri schen Elektroden bis jetzt verwendeten Elek troden weisen ungleichmässigen Abbrand am Stirnkopf, und zwar hauptsächlich an der Mittelelektrode auf.
Trotz der Beblasung mit gedrallter Luft gelingt es nicht, ein regel mässiges eindeutiges Wandern des Lichtbogen- fusspunktes auf den Elektroden zu erreichen. Es sind deswegen wichtige Elektrodenteile einem vorzeitigen Abbrand ausgesetzt.
Um dies zu verhüten, ist gemäss vorliegen der Erfindung wenigstens -ein Teil der Elek- trod6 ächraubengangförmig gewunden. Das durr'1 die Windungen gebildete magnetische I.
ald kann bei geeigneter Anordnung der Gegenelektrode den Lichtbogen zwingen, dem Elektrodenkopf zuzustreben, wo er sich am äussern Rand der Stirnfläche ansetzt und infolge der durch die Anordnung bedingten elektrodynamischen Kraft um die Elektro- denaehse rotiert.
In der beiliegenden, schematischen Zeich nung ist eine Elektrodenanordnung mit einem A.üsführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegen- stand-es dargestellt, und zwar zum Teil im Schnitt.
Der Teil 1 bildet die Stromeintritt- stelle. Am Kopfstück 2 ist die Stromaustritt- stelle. 3 ist ein schraubengangförmig ge wundener Stab mit kantigem Querschnitt. .t ist die Gegenelektrode mit auswechselbarem Kopfstück 4a.
Der Teil 1 und das Kopfstück 2 sind mit dem Teil 3 verschraubt; sie könnten aber auch in anderer Weise zusammengehalten werden, z. B. durch Schweissen, wodurch sich gleich falls ein guter Stromübergang vom einen Teil zum andern ergibt. Die Elektroden 1, 2, 3 und 4 können zum Teil oder ganz aus: Stahl oder Graphit bestehen.
Der schraubengang- förmige Teil könnte auch eön Rundstab sein. Man kann die Elektroden mit einer Kühlein- richtung versehen.

Part 1 forms the current entry point. The power outlet point is on the head piece 2. 3 is a helically wound rod with an angular cross section. .t is the counter-electrode with exchangeable head piece 4a.
Part 1 and head piece 2 are screwed to part 3; but they could also be held together in other ways, e.g. B. by welding, which also results in a good current transfer from one part to the other. The electrodes 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be partly or entirely made of: steel or graphite.
The helical part could also be a round bar. The electrodes can be provided with a cooling device.
