Ferner ist es bekannt, derartige Kohleeinsätze, beispielsweise durch Gießen, mit gut leitendem Metall zu überziehen. Diese bekannten Einrichtungen haben den Nachteil, daß entweder durch das Einschrauben der Metallbolzen in die vorher gebrannten Kohleteile ein großer übergangswiderstand und infolge der großen Stromstärken eine unzulässige Erwärmung an dieser Stelle entsteht oder daß beim Umgießen der Kohleeinlagen mit Metall das mit der selbstbrennenden Elektrodenmasse in Verbindung stehende Metall sich mit einer Oxydschicht überzieht, die ebenfalls den Übergangswiderstand erheblich vergrößert.It has been asked to try to solve this problem so far that in the self-burning electrodes, previously burned carbon inlays are inserted into which the threaded power supply bolts are screwed in. Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist in den Fig. r bis 3 dargestellt. Die Stromzuführungskabel 3 sind in geeigneter Weise, beispielsweise durch Verschrauben, mit den Metallfüllungen 4 der Kohlerohre bzw. Kohlerinnen verbunden. Fig. -- zeigt die Anordnung der Stromzuführungen in einer Ebene der Elektrode. In Fig. 3 ist im vergrößerten Maßstab ein Querschnitt einer Stromzuführung dargestellt: Durch eine besondere Formgebung oder durch Aufrauhung der Oberfläche der Kohlerohre bzw. Kohlerinnen wird der Übergangswiderstand weiter vermindert, da das im flüssigen Zustand in die Kohlerohre oder Kohlerinnen gegossene Aluminium in ;die poröse Kohlenasse gut eindringen kann. Ferner wird durch die Verwendung von Kohleröhren bzw. -rinnen der weitere Vorteil erreicht, daß das während des Betriebszustandes des Ofens flüssig werdende Aluminium nicht auslaufen kann, so daß eine äußerst wärmebeständige und eine dicht über dem Schmelzbad auszubringende Stromzuführung erzielt wird.An embodiment of the invention is shown in FIGS.
