Description

Safety device for cable cars. Known systems of tow cableways (ski lifts) are equipped with safety devices which automatically decouple the driver from the tow cableway when he releases the coupling lever on the handle. This type of safety device has the disadvantage that the driver is forced to hold the clutch lever on the handle during the entire journey on the towing cableway in order to keep the clutch upright, which is tiring.

The present invention relates to a safety device which overcomes this disadvantage in that it automatically keeps the driver coupled to the towing cableway while driving and has an element which must be actuated for the purpose of uncoupling the driver from the towing cableway.

In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown in longitudinal section. Therein be 1 indicates a sleeve, at the left end of which by means of a bolt 2, the two-armed levers 3 and 3 'are pivotably mounted. The outer (left-hand side) ends of these levers form a pair of pliers, which are used to grip the towing line 5 provided with an eyelet 4. The tow line is attached to the circulating pull rope in a known manner.

The right-hand end of the sleeve 1 has an eyelet 6 to which .der 7 be fastened, which transmits the tensile force of the towing cable car to the driver. In the sleeve 1, a second sleeve 8 is arranged, axially displaceable, which engages with a set 9 between the inner (right-hand) ends of the levers 3 and 3 '. A compression spring 10 ensures that the engagement of the projection 9 is maintained in the lever ends.

As a result, the pliers formed by the outer lever ends are held in the closed position shown in the drawing, which corresponds to the state while driving.

However, z. B. in the event of a fall, the driver moves the handle 11, which is fastened to the sleeve 8 by means of the bolt 12, to the right (towards himself), so the projection 9 slides out of the inner ends of the levers 3 and 3 ' out what the unlocking of the pliers formed by the outer ends of the levers 3 and 3 ': has the consequence. Due to the tensile force acting on the tow line, the eyelet 4 is pulled out of the pliers, with which the driver is uncoupled from the towing cable car.
