Device for releasably attaching the end of a flexible hose to a rigid hose head. Previously, the ends of flexible hoses, which z. B. are made of rubber or textile materials, on the associated rigid hose heads that z. B. form a spray nozzle or the hose connection to a machine or apparatus, for. B. a bicycle pump, ge are suitable by a wire wrapped around the hose ge or a clamping ring be strengthened. In this case, especially in the case of a higher pressure of the means guided in the hose, it could easily happen that the hose detached from the hose head.
Reliable connections have also been used, but they required cumbersome soldering or other preliminary work and in any case resulted in a permanent connection or at least caused an unfavorable permanent deformation and possibly even an injury to the hose end. These connections had a component pressed onto the end of the hose, the hose head only being able to be removed by destroying it and therefore no longer being used.
Therefore, the reputation squeeze avoiding devices have been proposed that allowed a firm, well-sealing and yet detachable attachment of the flexible hose ends, that is, a practically unlimited reuse of the hose head. Precisely for this reason, these devices resulted in an inherently advantageous fastening, but they were nevertheless not able to perfectly meet the practical requirements, in particular with regard to structural simplicity and operation. In particular, assembling and detaching the hose head from the flexible hose end was relatively cumbersome.
This disadvantage is also eliminated by the invention. To make the invention easier to understand and for the purpose of better comparison, first two characteristic forms of the known devices just mentioned are described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing.
In Fig. 1, a is the flexible hose end and b is the rigid, z. B. made of brass, made hose head, which has a part e with internal thread, which is suitable for connecting the hose a to any device ge and z. B. is screwed ben on a protruding thread approach of the device. A conical clamping ring f was pulled onto the hose end a, the fleece lc of which was brought into loose engagement with a sleeve d with an internal thread. On the other hand, this sleeve was screwed onto the external thread da of the hose head b.
During this screwing on, the clamping ring f was taken along by the sleeve d and the hose end was pressed against the inner surface of the ring f. Here, an inner abutment for the hose end was formed by a conical pipe socket or core piece e of the hose head b urging into the latter. The sleeve d was screwed up to the stop on the flange g of the hose head b, the hose end a was pressed with good sealing between the ring f and the core e and the edge of the hose end in a bead-like shape i penetrated into the intermediate space 7n was.
As can be seen, the previous device resulted in an appropriate, releasable connec tion and a good seal, but the operation has been made cumbersome due to the use of a separate clamping ring f, as the disassembly BEZW. to a new compilation of the Vorrich device, z. B. to connect the hose head with a new hose, the ge separated clamping ring f had to be removed and pulled onto the new hose.
Another, in Fig. 2 illustrated embodiment of the previous Vorrichtun conditions differed from the embodiment of FIG. 1 in that, omitting the separate clamping ring or a clamping sleeve f, the internally threaded sleeve d itself with a on the hose end a pressing annular or sleeve-shaped paragraph dl was provided. In addition, in Fig. 2, as another game, instead of part c of FIG. 1, a pipe socket c, with an external thread for a screw z.
B. assumed in the valve housing of a pump. In the embodiment of Figure 2, the clamping ring or the clamping sleeve was formed in one piece with the nut or sleeve d, where although a favorable reduction in the size of the device in the radial Rich device was made possible; but this meant no structural simplification, especially since in the embodiment of FIG. 2 now the inner core e, was arranged in the form of a separate, loosely rotating ble part. The reason for this was that when the sleeve d was screwed on, the clamping shoulder d would drag the hose end with it as a result of the friction and would therefore crease the hose.
Due to this separate core e, the same disadvantages were caused in the disassembly and reassembly of the device as by the use of the separate clamping ring or clamping sleeve f described with reference to FIG. The invention completely eliminates these disadvantages, that is, the creation of a device in which the outer clamping sleeve f does not form a part that is completely loose from the inner core part e of the hose head.
According to the invention it is sufficient for the end of the hose to be clamped to the rigid hose head when the internally threaded sleeve d is provided with a clamping shoulder in the form of a flange. Accordingly, the invention is characterized in that the sleeve, which has an internal thread, is pressed against the flexible hose only with a flange projecting radially inward.
Fig. 3 of the drawing illustrates a useful embodiment of the device according to the invention in longitudinal section. In this figure, a denotes the end of the flexible hose, b the rigid hose head, c, an external threading tube of the hose head that can be screwed into an apparatus, e2 the inner core part of the rigid hose head that is pushed into the end of the flexible hose, b and d the an internal thread be seated, the releasable connection described enabling sleeve that can be screwed onto the hose head b.
The sleeve d only rests on the hose a with its narrow flange-like extension d2 projecting inward in the radial direction. This flange dz on the one hand presses the end of the flexible hose with a force sufficient for clamping and sealing on the inner core part of the hose head and on the other hand rests only along an edge or such a narrow strip on the flexible hose that when the threaded sleeve is screwed on Hose head the flange moves without any creasing of the hose.
The flange g of the hose head b can also have a smaller diameter than the sleeve d compared to the embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, that is, the latter can also be screwed further to the left if the hose a is pressed even more strongly against the like e , with the help of the flange dz is desired. In certain cases, especially in the case of higher internal pressures in the hose, a stronger attachment and a stronger adhesion of the hose end to the inner core may be desirable.
For such a case, the inner core of the rigid hose head is designed on its part in contact with the flexible hose with an enlarged adhesion surface, namely in the form of a rotary body, the generatrix of which consists of a curved or broken line.
