L'invention a pour objet un briquet de poche pour fumeurs, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un réservoir contenant un liquide inflammable dans lequel plonge un tube en tourant et protégeant une, mèche qui n'est pas en contact avec ce liquide tant qu'un ob turateur du tube n'est pas ouvert.
Le dessin ci-joint montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de ce briquet. La fig. 1 est une vue de profil du briquet, avec coupe, l'obturateur étant dans, la position de fermeture.
La fig. 2 montre des détails de ce bri quet.
L'enveloppe extérieure 1 du réservoir, le dispositif à molette frottant sur une pierre et provoquant l'étincelle lorsque le couvercle 2 se soulève, n'offrent rien de particulier.
De l'essence est introduite par une ouver ture à bouchon 3 comme habituellement, mais le réservoir ne contient pas de matière po reuse destinée à entourer la mèche et à s'im biber d'essence.
Un tube 4 est fixé au réservoir, il contient un tube coulissant 6 dans lequel est logée une mèche 5. Un obturateur 7 est figé au tube 6; il est maintenu dans sa position de fermeture par un ressort hélicoïdal 8 agissant sur un épaulement de ce tube 6 et dont la partie inférieure repose sur une saillie intérieure du tube 4. Le tube 6 est fendu en 11 et 12.
En 9 est un bouchon creux dont le bord vient s'engager dans une rainure 10 de la partie supérieure du tube 4 lorsque le cou vercle 2 est fermé pour former une fermeture à chicane s'opposant à l'évaporation du li quide inflammable.
Il suffit de repousser du doigt la partie supérieure du tube 6, en opposition à l'action du ressort 8, pour ouvrir l'obturateur 7. La masse d'essence n'est en contait avec la mèche que pendant le maintien de l'ouverture.
Le briquet décrit procure une notable économie d'essence.
