Briquet automatique. L'objet de .la présente invention est un briquet automatique, tel que revendiqué .dans le brevet principal, sur l'une des faces de la molette duquel est fixée une -came compor tant au moins trois dents, dont l'une @d'-elles se loge l'ors de la fermeture @du .couvercle, entre les deux doigts que c#nporte l'extré mité d'un levier, en forme,de fourche,
-le tout monté de telle façon qu'en pressant sur un bouton, le,couvercle s'ouvre sous l'effet d'un ressort -et actionne le levier qui, en poussant la came, fait tourner la molette, et frotter celle-ci sur une épierre ;pyrophorique, produi sant une étincelle enflammant la mèche im bibée,d'un carburant.
Le .dessin annexé montre, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'-exécution del'objet de l'in vention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en coupe verti- cale; La fig. 2 est une vue @du .dispositif @de ré glage de la pression, exercée sur la pierre py- rophorique. Le briquet représenté comporte une mo- lette 1 sur une,des faces de laquelle est fixée, au moyen d'une vis 2, par exemple,
une came 3 à quatre dents 4. A chaque fermeture -du couvere-e 5 une des dents 4,se loge entre les deux doigts 6 et 7 que comporte l'extrémité en forme -de fourche d'un levier 8 fixé audit couvercle 5.
Le tout est monté de telle façon qu'en ap puyant sur ale bouton 9, le couvérele 5 n'est plus retenu et @se rabat en arrière par suite ,de la pression d'un ressort 10. Pendant ce ra battement, le levier 8 est entraîné et pousse la came 3, cette dernière faisant tourner la molette 1 .qui frotte sur une pierre pyrophori- que, placée sous la molette et produisant une étincelle enflammant la mèche imbibée d'un carburant, -par exemple de la benzine.
Lorsque le couvercle 5 est dans la posi tion d'ouverture, -le doigt 7 et un des côtés du levier épouse la partie -de la forme .exté rieure oituée entre deux dents consécutives de la came 3.
En fermant le couvercle, le levier 8 est guidé par appui du doigt 7 sur la forme extérieure de la _-came jusqu'au moment où ce dernier arrive à l'extrémité d'une .dent 4, le levier 8 est alors poussé par un ressort 11,,et la dent 4 se trouve logée en tre les deux doigts 6 et 7 dudit levier 8.
Le tuyau 12, dans, lequel vient :se loger le ressort 13, est fileté à l'intérieur. La pression -exercée par le ressort 13 sur la pierre pyro phorique peut se régler au moyen d'un dis positif comportant un petit manchon 14 fi leté, pouvant coulisser le long de la tige 15 de section carrée solidaire -du bouchon 16.
Pour régler la pression du ressort sur la pierre pyrophorique, il suffit de visser la pièce 14 plus @ou moins, profondément à l'in t6rieur -du tuyau 12 en tournant le bouchon 16, la tige 15 de .section carrée entraînant la pièce 14.
Le bouchon 16 se maîntient dans la position indiquée à la fig. 1 par la résistance due au frottement,de la tige 15 contre les pa rois du trou central idu petit manchon<B>-</B> 14 et celle -due au frottement de la proéminence 17 contre les parois du trou pratiqué dans la base 18 du briquet.
Automatic lighter. Fig. 1 is a view in vertical section; Fig. 2 is a view @of the .device @ for regulating the pressure exerted on the pyrophoric stone. The lighter shown comprises a wheel 1 on one of the faces of which is fixed, by means of a screw 2, for example,
a cam 3 with four teeth 4. At each closure of the cover 5 one of the teeth 4 is housed between the two fingers 6 and 7 that the fork-shaped end of a lever 8 has 5 attached to said cover 5 .
The whole is mounted in such a way that by pressing on button 9, cover 5 is no longer retained and @se folds backwards as a result of the pressure of a spring 10. During this rebounding, the lever 8 is driven and pushes the cam 3, the latter causing the wheel 1 to turn. Which rubs on a pyrophoric stone, placed under the wheel and producing a spark igniting the wick soaked in fuel, for example benzine.
When the cover 5 is in the open position, the finger 7 and one of the sides of the lever matches the part of the exterior shape oituée between two consecutive teeth of the cam 3.
By closing the cover, the lever 8 is guided by pressing the finger 7 on the outer shape of the _-cam until the latter reaches the end of a tooth 4, the lever 8 is then pushed by a spring 11, and tooth 4 is housed between the two fingers 6 and 7 of said lever 8.
The pipe 12, in which the spring 13 is housed, is threaded inside. The pressure exerted by the spring 13 on the pyrophoric stone can be adjusted by means of a positive device comprising a small threaded sleeve 14, which can slide along the rod 15 of square section integral with the stopper 16.
To adjust the spring pressure on the pyrophoric stone, it suffices to screw the part 14 more @ or less, deeply inside the pipe 12 by turning the plug 16, the rod 15 of square section driving the part 14 .
The plug 16 is held in the position indicated in fig. 1 by the resistance due to friction, of the rod 15 against the walls of the central hole of the small sleeve <B> - </B> 14 and this -due to the friction of the protrusion 17 against the walls of the hole made in the base 18 of the lighter.
