Wheel fastening on vehicles, in particular on motor vehicles with rubber tires and trailers. The present invention is a wheel attachment to vehicles that are mainly used for rubber-tired motor vehicles and trailers for use, in which the power transmission from the shaft to the wheel is carried out by several drivers around the shaft on a part firmly connected to the shaft are arranged and reach through a flange of the wheel hub when fastened,
means are provided which secure the wheel against accidental axial loosening.
To date, one used as a driver for the power transmission from the shaft to the wheel and vice versa (in the case of braking) ge ordinary studs, and as an axial backup one used screw nuts, by means of which the wheel on the part attached to the shaft, z. B. on the brake drum, tightened.
Replacing a wheel in the event of a defect was always associated with considerable circumstances and considerable loss of time with this design, since all of the six to eight screw nuts, usually six to eight, had to be loosened using a special screw jack first the wheel could be lifted off. The same laborious and time-consuming process was repeated when assembling the bike.
The present invention is intended to eliminate this disadvantage. For this purpose, an annular disc is used as a securing means, which is arranged inside the wheel hub, parallel to the wheel flange and concentric to the shaft, in such a way that the annular disc can be rotated in its plane relative to the wheel hub, against the axial. Shift relative to the wheel hub is secured.
The annular disk is provided with projecting cams, while the drivers are provided with correspondingly shaped recesses located in their path of movement, the whole thing in such a way that when the annular disk is rotated in one direction, the cams of the same form-fit into the recesses the driver reach in and thus secure the wheel against axial displacement with respect to the shaft.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 is a plan view of the wheel hub with the wheel cap lifted off in the direction of arrow I shown in Fig. 2, Fig. 2 is a section through the wheel hub along the line II-II in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 shows a detail from Fig. 1 part on a larger scale and Fig. 4 some details from Fig. 2 A, also on a larger scale.
In the example shown, 1 denotes a vehicle keyed onto a rear wheel shaft 2 of a brake drum. Bolts 3, which serve as drivers and whose longitudinal axes run parallel to the axis of the shaft 2, are welded into this brake drum on its outer end face.
Each of these driving pins 3 has a ring-shaped recess 4, whereby a shaft 5 is formed, the diameter of which is reduced by twice the amount of the depth of the recess compared to the outer diameter of the bolt.
With 6, the hub of the wheel body 7 is recorded. On her butt, d. H. The hub 6 is provided with a flange 8 at the end adjacent to the brake drum 1. A number of holes 9 are drilled in this flange, the clear diameter and pitch circle of which correspond to the outer diameter and pitch circle of the bolts 3. At the inside. the hub 6 is, resting on the flange 8, an annular disk 10 parallel to the flange 8 rotatably bar. This washer is level with the indentations 4 of the bolts 3 and has a thickness corresponding to the width of these indentations. Like the flange 8, the washer 10 is also provided with a number of holes 11 of the same diameter.
Each of these holes 11 also has a slot-shaped bulge 12, which runs in a pitch circle from radius B (fix. 1). The width b of these slots corresponds to the diameter of the bolt shank 5, while the diameter of the holes 11 corresponds to the diameter of the bolt 3. These slots 12 form cams 13 on the annular disk (Fix. 3).
In the flange 8, two eccentrics 14 are rotatably mounted about axle bolts 15 on two opposite sides. The eccentric 14 engage in slots 16 of the ring 10 and are each turned on a hexagonal bolt 17, which are rotatably mounted on the axle pin 15. The axle bolts 15 are fixed in the flange 8 of the wheel hub. With 18 a pair of glasses pushed over the hexagonal bolts 17 is referred to, which prevents the bolts 17 from unintentionally loosening.
The corners of the hexagon bolts 17 projecting over the order of the eccentric 14 rest on the annular disc 10 and thus serve as a safeguard against axial displacement of the annular disc. A hub cap of conventional design inserted into the hub 6 is designated with 1.9. A bracket 20 is attached to this, the free ends of which bear against the glasses 18 and secure the same in their position on the hexagonal bolts 17.
The handling and operation of the wheel attachment described above is as follows: It is assumed that the individual parts are in the positions shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 at the starting point of the following consideration. Should the wheel body 7 be replaced respectively. are removed men, the hub cap 19 is removed first. Then the glasses 18 are pulled off the hexagon bolts 17 and special, when not in use, for. B. in the tool box housed key 21 is placed on the hexagon bolts and rotated in Rich direction of the arrows A shown in FIG.
By this rotation, which is made by the Ex centers 14, the annular disc 10 is rotated in the direction of the arrow B, the cams 13 are moved out of the annular recess 4 of the bolts 3 until finally the holes 11 of the annular disc 10 directly via the bolts 3, d. H. come to lie coaxially to these. In this position the whole wheel can be pulled off the bolts 3. In the same way, the He set wheel is now attached to the bolt 3, after which the washer 10 is rotated by means of the key 21, the bolt 17 and the eccentric 14 in the direction opposite to arrow B.
Here, the cams 13 formed by the slots 12 enter the annular recesses 4 of the bolts 3, whereby the wheel body is secured against unintentional axial loosening. The two keys 21 are now pulled from the hexagon bolts 17 and placed in the tool box. The glasses 18 are then placed back onto the bolts 17 and finally the hubcap 19 is put back on.
The Radbefesti described above enables defective wheels to be replaced very quickly and effortlessly. Instead of securely arranging the driving pins 3 in the brake drum 1, it would also be possible to store the same axially displaceably in the brake current mel and to place them under spring action, in such a way that the washer 10 when the spring-loaded pins 3 are tightened against the flange 8 at the same time of the wheel would be pressed.
