Description
Heating device on downpipes of gutters to prevent freezing. The present invention relates to an improvement of the heating device on downpipes of gutters to prevent freezing according to the claim of the main patent. According to the invention, a removable pipe insert is used in place of the electric heating jacket in the lower part of the downpipe, which is provided with an electric heater which is arranged on a support arm attached to the pipe insert in the pipe axis.
Advantageously, a bell-shaped protective shield is provided over the electrical radiator and a .Seiher removable over this.
Tests have shown that the heat losses are significantly lower if, instead of an electrical heating jacket, an electrical heating element located on a support arm inside the pipe insert is provided. The canalization air, which is thermally sucked in from below and is already relatively warm, is heated so much that not only is the downpipe protected from icing, but the area around the mouth of the downpipe in the gutter is also kept free of ice and snow becomes.
As a rule, switching on the radiator in the morning and in the evening for 1-2 hours is sufficient. Furthermore, tests have shown that despite the reduction in the free cross section in the pipe insert through the radiator, blockages and blockages, the latter especially when a colander is provided,
do not enter. By the bell-shaped protective shield and possibly also the strainer, the elec trical radiator is protected against any pieces of ice that may fall through the downpipe.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown. 1 shows a vertical section through a downpipe of a gutter with a heating device to prevent freezing and FIG. 2 shows a section along line I-I in FIG.
With 1 is the bus iron bottom piece, wel Ches at its upper end has a sleeve 2, and with 3 a movable part of the downpipe coming from the gutter of a gutter called. In the sleeve 2 of the base piece 1, a pipe section 4 is set, in which a removable pipe insert 5 sits. In this pipe insert 5, an electric heater 6 is arranged on a support arm 7 so that it lies in the pipe axis. The support arm 7 is attached to the tube set 5 by means of flange 8, counterflange 9 and rivets 10.
The support arm 7 opposite a support arm 11 is arranged on the radiator 6, which is based on a bearing 12 on the inner wall of the pipe insert 5 from. The electrical lines for connecting the heater 6 to a power grid are passed through the support arm 7 and on the outside of its fastening point on the pipe insert 5, a connection for a line cable 13 is provided. Above the radiator 6 a bell-shaped protective shield 14 is arranged.
In the upper end of the tube insert 5 is. Another pipe insert 15 is inserted and held by a bead 16, into the upper end of which the displaceable part 3 of the downpipe is pushed in such a way that the pipe insert 15 and with it the pipe insert 5 are also held. In the pipe insert 15, a colander 17 is removably inserted, which is carried by an inner bead 18 of the pipe insert 15. The lower end of this colander 17 sits directly on the bell-shaped protective shield _14.
