Liquid-permeable centrifugal machine with seal. The invention relates to a fluid flow-through centrifugal machine, in which the seal on the rotor shaft takes place at standstill by resting a sealing surface connected to the shaft on a sealing surface connected to the housing.
The invention consists in that, in connection with a flushing device for the sealing surfaces, not only the sealing surface connected to the shaft is lifted off the sealing surface connected to the housing in the axial direction during operation by means influenced by centrifugal force, but also during operation the seal is taken over by the blades on the back of the rotor.
The aim of the invention is to be able to limit the flushing of the sealing surfaces, which lie on top of one another when the machine is at a standstill, to the times of starting up and shutting down the rotary machine.
The rinsing liquid is expediently fed through a bore which opens into an annular chamber of a sealing ring which is connected to the rinsing channels emerging into the sealing gap on the sealing surface. One of the two sealing rings can advantageously be attached to the impeller.
Sealing devices are known on circulating machines through which liquid flows, which are sealed at standstill by two coaxial surfaces which are pressed against one another and which stand out from one another in the axial direction during operation due to the action of a centrifugal governor. When the machine is switched off, the centrifugal force ceases, and a spring force acting in opposition to this presses the two sealing surfaces together again. Here at the impurities carried along in the delivery liquid, for.
For example, grains of sand, precipitated crystals in the case of acids and the like settle on the sealing surfaces, which prevent the sealing surfaces from resting tightly on top of one another when the machine is at a standstill and make perfect sealing impossible. When the machine starts and stops, i.e. as long as the centrifugal force effect required to lift the sealing surfaces from one another is not yet sufficiently large, these surfaces slide on one another and are damaged by the impurities trapped between them, so that frequent: replacement of the sealing surfaces Parts with corresponding business interruptions will be the result.
In another well-known proposal, a sealing ring that is longitudinally movable on the machine shaft is pressed against a shaft collar when the machine is at a standstill and lifted from this collar by means of a hydraulic fluid, whereby a gas-tight seal between a machine and the outside space is sought. In this case, it is necessary that during the entire operating time, pressure fluid acts on the sealing ring, which is displaceable on the shaft and encircling it, in order to prevent this on the one hand. that this sealing ring wears out on the rotating shaft collar and, on the other hand, constantly renews the necessary sealing oil film.
Experience has shown that the disadvantages of these known embodiments are avoided by combining the features mentioned at the beginning. This also enables a relatively low consumption of flushing liquid, which means that the amount of flushing liquid added to the pumped medium is reduced to a minimum.
For example, embodiments of the subject invention are shown on the beilie lowing drawing, namely Fig. 1 shows a centrifugal pump according to the inven tion, in longitudinal section; FIG. 2 shows a cross section through this pump along the line a-a of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 shows a section of Fig. 1 on a larger scale, and Fig. 4 explains a further embodiment of such a pump. According to FIG. 1, the guide disk 2 and the driver 3 are wedged on the pump shaft 1 and pressed indirectly by the nut 4 against a shoulder 5 of the shaft 1. 1lit the shaft 1 rotates in contrast to the shaft axially non-displaceable, with the sliding sleeve 6 on the spacer sleeve 7 mounted ball guide piece B.
According to FIG. 2, the driver 3 has four outwardly open slots 9 which are regularly distributed over its circumference and in each of which a ball 10 is mounted. The slots 9 have zt @ -ei under them parallel guide surfaces, the distance between which is slightly larger than the diameter of the balls 10. The radial and axial play of the balls 10 compared to the pump shaft 1 is caused by two conical surfaces 11 facing each other on the same axis the guide pieces 8 and 12 on the guide disk 2.
The shaft 1 has a longitudinal play of, for example, 0.5 mm, which can be adjusted by a nut 34. When the pump is at a standstill, the shaft 1 is held in its right end position by the springs 13. In operations, i.e. when the shaft 1 is rotating, the balls 10 exert a pressure on the conical surfaces 11 and 12 as a result of the centrifugal force, which, as a result of the inclination of these surfaces, acts as an axial pressure on the shaft 1 opposite to the springs 13. By means of the nuts 23, the tension of the springs 13 can be changed and thus the speed can be determined at which an axial displacement of the shaft is to take place.
On your flying part of the shaft 1 is keyed against the shaft collar 33 thrusting ring 19 and the spacer sleeve 22 and the impeller 15, which are all secured with means of the screws 31 on the shaft 1 ge. On the air side, the impeller 15 is equipped with back blades 18 and its hub with the sealing ring 16. In the pump housing 29 provided with the suction nozzle 30, the collecting housing 20 is set and connected to that. The Ge housing 20 and 29 are advantageously not made of one and the same piece.
With regard to the corrosion resistance, for example in acid pumps, because of the acid-air mixture present, greater demands must be placed on the material of the collecting housing 20 than on the material of the pump housing 29, which is in contact with almost pure acid.
In the collecting housing 20, the bushing 32 with the sealing ring 27 is inserted, which is provided with an annular chamber 26 and has the sealing surface 17 which cooperates with the sealing surface 14 of the impeller ring 16.
The sealing parts 16 and 27 subjected to the most wear and tear can be replaced in a simple manner and only by removing the suction port 30 and the impeller 15, without the need to separate the pump unit from the pressure line or to expand further pumping parts.
From the chamber 26 lead one or more flushing channels 28 into the space between the sealing surfaces 14 and 17. Through the collecting housing 20 and the sleeve 32 is a hole 25 into the chamber 26 leads to which hole the flushing line 24 for the supply of Rinsing liquid is connected. As a rinsing liquid, for example, purified delivery medium could be used, in which case the line 24 via a cleaner not dargestell th in the drawing, for example a filter, BEZW on the pressure side of the pump. is to be connected to the pressure line.
The line 24 can, however, also be connected to any water line, depending on the type of conveying medium. The flushing medium flowing through the line 24 and the bore 25 into the chamber 26 passes through one or more channels 28 via the sealing surface 17 into the sealing gap between the water and the sealing surface 14 and can flow out of this along the back blades 18 and the spacer sleeve 22 flow into rooms with lower pressure.
In operation, the rotating shaft 1 is pressed into its left end position due to the centrifugal force of the balls 10, so that the sealing surfaces 14 and 17 are separated from each other. The back blades 18 prevent the delivery liquid from flowing radially inward from the pump delivery space. If the pump is switched off, rinsing liquid is simultaneously fed through the line 24 between the sealing surfaces, which clean the sealing surfaces 14 and 17 and wash away any solid components deposited on them.
As the centrifugal effect of the balls 10 decreases, the shaft 1 is shifted to the right by the springs 13 until the sealing surfaces 14 and 17 lie on top of one another and the shaft 1 comes to a standstill. The sealing device is now taken over by the cleaned and tightly lying sealing surfaces 14 and 17, while the supply of flushing liquid is no longer necessary.
The rinsing liquid flowing out of the clearance between the sealing ring 27 and the spacer sleeve 22 and any pumping medium that seeps through from the blade space are thrown onto the inner wall of the collecting housing 20 by means of the centrifugal ring 19, collected and discharged through an opening 21 when the shaft is rotating.
Instead of the slinger 19, as shown in Fig. 4, a .Stuffing box 35 can be provided, which prevents the escape of liq fluid along the shaft 1, so that all of the flushing liquid supplied through the line 24 along the back blades 18 into the Pumped medium is directed.
