Circulation pump The present invention relates to a circulation pump, in particular for central heating systems.
In known circulating pumps, a canned motor is arranged in a Mo gate space, the Ro tor of which is located on a common shaft with a conveyor wheel arranged in the circulation space. The can of the motor seals the stator space from the rotor space, which is directly connected to the circulation space. and through which part of the medium to be circulated flows through.
The secondary flow of the medium through the rotor space acts on the rotor-side shaft bearing, this bearing being lubricated by means of the medium, while the shaft bearing on the impeller side is lubricated by the medium of the main flow in the circulation space.
The disadvantage of these circulating pumps is that when water is used, for example, the impurities in the water, such as grains of sand, welding beads or casting dust, which the water flushes out of pipes, radiators and boilers, settle on the shaft bearings, so that they are due to the increased friction due to the dirt particles between tween the sliding surfaces are heavily worn and replacing the shaft and bearing in a relatively short time is necessary.
The present invention now aims to create a circulation pump in which the contamination of the bearings is avoided when they are lubricated by means of the medium to be circulated.
The present invention is characterized in that means are provided that separate the rotor space from the circulation space, that further means are provided by which the flow of the medium is controlled in a predetermined direction in a secondary flow circuit, and that filter means in this Side flow circles are arranged, which clean the medium before entering the shaft bearings.
An example embodiment of the circulating pump according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows a circulating pump in axial section in a schematic representation: The housing of the circulating pump consists of housing parts 1 and 2, which are connected to each other by screws 3. Set between the connection of the two housing parts is a log device ring 3a, which prevents the escape of water which flows through the interior of the housing.
In the housing part 1, a canned motor with a stator 4, a can 5 and a rotor 6, which is located on a shaft 7, is arranged. The can seals the rotor space 6a through which the water flows from the stator space 4a. To support the shaft 7, a bearing shell 8 with a radial bearing 9 and a thrust bearing 10 is arranged on the housing part 1 and a radial bearing 12 is arranged in an inwardly directed hub 11 on the housing part 2.
A filter carrier 13 is arranged between the housing shells 1 and 2, which protrudes with its hub-shaped formation 14 through which the shaft 7 passes into the rotor space enclosed by the can 5.
The filter support 13 closes the circulation space formed by the housing shell 2 from the rotor space, the front, disk-shaped boundary surface 15 of the filter support 13 facing the circulation space having a smooth surface and the surface 16 of the filter support 13 facing the housing shell 1 extending radially has fende ribs 17.
Arranged close to the end of the filter carrier 13 on the motor side is a separating disk 18, which is supported with its inner diameter on the hub-shaped formation 14 and with its outer diameter rests on the can 5 in a liquid-tight manner.
Separating disk 18, the outer circumferential surface of the hub-shaped formation 14 of the filter carrier 13 and the can 5 delimit a chamber located between the motor space and the circulation space, which is separated into an outer chamber 20 and an inner chamber by a tubular, inorganic element 19, which serves as a filter 21 is divided.
Of course, the separating disk 18 could be designed as a filter, the tubular filter 19 being eliminated. The aim is simply as large a filter area as possible.
With the shaft 7, a conveyor wheel 22 is firmly verbun, the hub 23 of which protrudes into a bore 24 of the Fil carrier 13 and the wing plate 25 with a bore 26 partially encloses the hub 11 of the housing shell 2. The feed wheel 22, which rotates in the circulation space, conveys the water from a suction space 27 by means of the blades 29 into a pressure space 28.
The directed against the filter support 13 boundary surface 30 of the wing disk 25 has radially extending, shovel-shaped ribs 31 which are distanced at a small distance from the boundary surface 15 of the filter support 13 Be. The ribs 31 are also stepped off from the filter support 13, the stepped part 32 of the ribs 31 being bordered by a disc 33 which is spaced into a corresponding recess 34 of the filter support 13 and from the inner boundary surface of this recess protrudes.
By the boundary surface 30 of the wing disk 25, the boundary surface 15 of the Filterträ gers 13 and the approximately radial continuation of the latter located disc 33, a vacuum space 35 is formed in which the ribs 3 i rotate.
When the circulating pump is in operation, in addition to the circulating flow of the water flowing through, from the suction chamber 27 through the spaces between the blades of the feed wheel 22 into the pressure chamber 28, a controlled secondary flow is established in a secondary flow circuit, as will be explained in more detail below:
As the flow arrows shown, some of the pumped water penetrates from the pressure chamber 28 through the channels between the ribs 17 of the filter support into the outer chamber 20 in front of the filter 19 and reaches through this in a cleaned state the inner chamber 21, the filter due to its flow resistance, the pressure of the water is reduced. At reduced pressure, the water flows from the inner chamber 21 through a number of bores 36 in the separating disk 18 through the latter into the rotor space 6 a, the flow through the rotor taking place through two axial bores 37 in the rotor 6.
The water reaches the bearings 9 and 10 from the rotor space 6a, a film or lubricating film forming between the interacting sliding surfaces. The water flowing out of the camps, its. Pressure due to the flow resistance in the La like is only very low, gets into a space between the shaft end and the bottom surface of the bearing shell 8 and from there through an axial bore 40 in the shaft 7 through this on the other side in a space between the shaft end there and the bottom surface of the drilled-out hub 11. From this space, the water passes between the sliding surfaces of the bearing 12 and the shaft 7 into the negative pressure space 35.
As a result of the rotation of the feed wheel 22, there is now a negative pressure in space 35 with respect to pressure space 28, the pressure difference between space 35 and 28, which remains approximately constant over the entire delivery area of the feed wheel 22, depends on the shape of the ribs 31, their height and their height From stood on the boundary surface 15 of the filter support 13 is dependent. Through the shovel-shaped ribs 31, the water flowing into the negative pressure chamber 35 from the bearing 12 is conveyed back into the chamber 28.
The amount of water flowing through this secondary flow circuit is therefore dependent on the conveying characteristics of the paddle-shaped ribs 31 of the conveyor wheel 22 and the flow resistances in the secondary flow circuit. These delivery characteristics are adapted to the operating conditions.
At the same time, the negative pressure in the space 35 serves to reduce the axial thrust which is exerted on the shaft 7 by the conveyance of the water, which leads to the relief of the bearings.
The negative pressure in space 35 also ensures that no unfiltered water through the gap 38 between the hub-shaped formation 14 of the filter carrier 13 and the shaft 7 and the gap 39 between the filter carrier 13 and hub 23 or separating disk 33 of the feed wheel 22 into the rotor space and thus can get to the bearings, since due to the pressure difference between rotor space 6a and vacuum space 35, there is a constant flow from rotor space 6a through gaps 38 and 39 to space 35.
If the filter is clogged by the impurities in the water in such a way that no more water flows through it, a pressure drop occurs in the rotor space 6a compared to the vacuum space 35, so that the flow through the gaps 38 and 39 is reversed and the water from space 35 flows to the rotor space 6a, as the dash-dotted flow arrows in the drawing illustrate. This creates a further Ne benströmungskreis with switching off the filter, which ensures the water supply to the camps despite the clogging of the filter.
The flow in the first secondary flow circuit of the circulating pump would also be possible without the conveying action of the blade-shaped ribs 31 on the motor-side boundary surface 30 of the conveying wheel 22. With this design, the water would also get from the pressure chamber 28 through the channels of the filter carrier 13 through the filter 9, rotor chamber 6a and the bearings into chamber 35, which would then have to be connected directly to the conveying chamber 27.
