Fig. 7 und 8 zeigen solche Ausführungen.
Method and device for cooling gas turbine blades. The cooling of gas turbine blades, in which the cooling liquid is brought to pressure by centrifugal action according to the rotary vessel principle and the steam generated at .dem pressure is derived from the turbine runner, is known. When cooling the gas turbine blades, it is particularly important that the supplied heat is extracted from the blade material as quickly as possible and as uniformly as possible for all blades.
According to the method according to the present invention, liquid is diverted from the liquid flow to be evaporated and thrown under pressure for each gas turbine blade and circulated through each blade in an amount exceeding the evaporation capacity of the blade with the aid of the centrifugal effect.
The invention has the advantage that all the blades of a wheel expand to the same extent, since the temperature given by the cooling liquid - for example the boiling temperature of the water at the respective pressure - with the same heating assumed in one stage can be, also -is the same for all blades.
While the rotary boiler principle generally works with complete evaporation in the heating surfaces, according to the present invention, a multiple circulation for the steam output of these blades is sought in the gas turbine blades, which not only has a beneficial effect in terms of intensive cooling, but also largely prevents that in the blades, as the parts of the greatest circumferential speed, all the impurities and salt solutions in the liquid settle.
The device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that the gas turbine rotor has a cylindrical hollow body with a co-rotating coolant inflow line guided to the inner circumference of the hollow body and a central discharge line for the generated steam, and that the gas turbine blades, which are also hollow, of the art are fastened on the circumference of the hollow body,
that the cavity of the blade is in communication with the cavity of the hollow body.
In the drawing, on the basis of which the method is explained, for example, embodiments of the Vorrich device for performing the fiction, according to method are shown.
According to FIG. 1, liquid runs through the stuffing box 1 into the hollow shaft 2, is thrown under pressure in the pipes 3 and enters the water ring which forms in the drum 6. According to the amount of steam formed in the gas turbine blades 5 and in the heated parts of the drum 6 and the desired steam pressure, a certain liquid ring is established. The generated steam flows into the hollow shaft 7; it is passed from here to a steam turbine or another usage point.
From the liquid ring 4 there is a special rotation in the gas turbine blades, which can be kept more or less strong depending on the blade. Due to this vigorous water circulation caused by the weight difference between the water thrown outwards and the steam-water mixture flowing inwards, the shovel is well cooled over its entire length and at all points; It is also ensured that the parts of the cooled rotor that are furthest to the outside, namely the inner spaces of the blades, are always thoroughly flushed through and that deposits at these points are avoided as far as possible.
The circulation in the blades occurs. if the cavity of the blade has a sufficient cross-section so that the liquid can flow outwards and the liquid-vapor mixture can flow side by side in different directions, whereby it must be taken into account that strong forces act for the rotation by the centrifugal force. The following figures now show, for example, how the desired circulating effect in the blades in connection with the pressure centrifugation of the cooling liquid to be evaporated can be improved by special fixtures in the blades or by special design of the blades themselves.
Fig. 2 shows the installation of a special liquid pipe in the hollow blades. Such pipes are known per se even with umlau fenden boilers.
In the application according to the present invention, however, the multiple circulation of the pipe in rotating steam generators adhering deficiencies are avoided, namely by repeatedly circulating the heat flow from the steam to the liquid under low pressure with low load can not lead to disturbances , especially with the arrangement of the pipe at a point at which pressure spinning has already occurred. steam formation cannot be so harmful.
According to Fig.? For example, the tube 8 starts from the outer surface 11 of the cavity 10. The pipe is according to this example to the outer end of the blade 11 ge leads. A cover plate 1? via the pipe is advantageous in order to prevent any steam from entering the pipe. The steam-water mixture produced by the heating of the shovel flows inwards. It can be passed through an attachment tube 13 over the wet level 14 that normally occurs.
Due to the length of this attachment tube, it is within certain limits that you can set the desired circulation. The tube 8 serves at the same time as a displacement body so that an increase in the speed of the cooling liquid on the inner surface of the blade is achieved. You can give the pipe special shapes accordingly. in order to force the cooling flow to particularly strongly heated areas.
Fig. 3 shows, for example, a tube as a displacement body, which mainly displaces the coolant flow against the sharply heated blade points. The inlet and outlet edges 15 and 16 are naturally the most heated. The tube 17 accordingly leaves more cross-section free at the edges in the inner part, so that the circulating water will flow there.
As FIG. 4 shows, the tubes 18 can be designed in such a way that the bleeding liquid jet is directed towards the inside of the blade edge 15 so that the vapor bubbles are always well flushed away at this point by the impact of the liquid jet. The same effect could be achieved if, as shown in FIG. 5, the liquid flow from the pipe 20 is sprayed through bores 19 onto the inner edges. The tube 20 can in this case be closed at the outer end.
The circulation in the blades can also take place by means of an appropriate subdivision in the longitudinal direction of the blades. If, for example, a hollow blade according to FIG. 6 is subdivided in such a way - be it by a welded web or by welding the entire blade together - that spaces with differently strong steam development arise, a regulated strong circulation can also take place as a result of this In the rooms with weaker heating, so much liquid flows outwards with good circulation and thus comes to a higher pressure that the amount of heat absorbed only serves to increase the heat of the liquid and not to generate steam.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 6, the room 21 would be less heated than the rooms 22 and 23, so that the water in the room 21 would be thrown outwards, while in the rooms 22 and 23 the steam water would be mixed up again flows back inside.
In the method according to the present invention, it is important - as described at the outset - that the cooling of the gas turbine blades during steam generation is ensured by centrifugal pressure. In this case, high internal pressures also occur in the zones of higher circumferential speeds, that is to say, especially in the blades. At these high pressures, one must take into account, on the one hand, sufficient strength of the blade, but on the other hand, in particular, sufficient cooling and sufficient circulation conditions with a high vapor density.
According to the embodiments according to FIGS. 7 and 8, it is therefore proposed that the cooling of the blades be increased through bores that are connected inside and outside under one another, the number and arrangement of the bores being such that the bores are in zones of different heat absorption lie. In this way, an outward flow can be established in the bores in the zone of lower heat absorption and thus a regulated, even flow in all blades can be ensured, which is very important for balancing the rotor.
7 and 8 show such embodiments. In this case there are three bores 24, 25, 26 in the blade. The bore 25 is located in a zone of lower heat absorption, so that the liquid is thrown outward in this bore. All holes are connected to one another at the blade head through space 27. At the blade root, the bores of each blade can initially be connected by space 28, for example.
But the bores of all blades can also be directly connected to the water ring. ' In order to clearly define the direction of circulation, it is advantageous to use a larger diameter for the bores that are to be used to guide the liquid to the outside, since with round bores the amount flowing through then increases more than the area emitting heat. Instead of the three bores shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, even more bores can practically come into question.
It can also be useful to provide separate circuits for the front and rear edges.
