Die Zeichnung zeigt eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstan- des, und zwar stellt Fig.1 eine schematische Gesamtansicht eines mit der Sicherungsvorrichtung versehe- nen Apparates dar; F'ig. 2 zeigt einen Schnitt durch ein auto- matisches Ventil;
Safety device on a gas-heated device. The subject of the present invention is a safety device on a gas-heated apparatus with an exhaust gas line provided with a shut-off element and a shut-off valve in the gas feed line controlled by the shut-off element.
Larger gas-heated devices that are set up in closed rooms always require a pipe to discharge the exhaust gases to the outside. This connection with the outside air has the disadvantage, however, that the installation place cools down quickly in winter, since the heat escapes through the exhaust pipe when the device is not in operation.
In order to remedy this inconvenience, it would have to be possible to close the flue pipe with a device when the flame is not burning. However, the currently applicable regulations forbid the installation of such shut-off devices, since if the apparatus and the pipe closure device are operated separately, they may be left in a closed state when the heater is started up.
the exhaust gases flow through the draft interrupter into the installation room and can there under certain circumstances become dangerous to the user. Such pipe flaps have already been created in exhaust gas lines which eliminate the above deficiency in that they are inevitably connected to the gas shut-off device in such a way that the exhaust gas line is always open when the gas flow is free.
But even this device cannot be considered to be flawless, since when the gas tap is half-open, such a large amount of exhaust gas is produced that back pressure occurs through the half-open folder. There is also the risk that if the transmission linkage breaks, the heater can be put into operation with the exhaust valve completely closed. The present invention now eliminates this disadvantage.
The gas supply can only be released through the shut-off valve when the exhaust pipe is fully open.
The present invention thus relates to such a safety device on a gas-heated apparatus with an exhaust gas line provided with a shut-off element and a shut-off valve in the gas feed line controlled by the shut-off element, in which the shut-off valve is controlled in this way. that the gas supply to the apparatus can only take place when the exhaust gas line is fully open, whereby the gas pressure is used to move the shut-off valve.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, specifically FIG. 1 shows a schematic overall view of an apparatus provided with the safety device; F'ig. 2 shows a section through an automatic valve;
Fig. 3 is a section along the line III-III of Fig. 2, and Fig. 4 shows the butterfly valve with control cock on a larger scale.
The system has a gas supply line 1 which leads to an automatic valve 3 via a main tap 2. The gas reaches the burner of the apparatus 4 from the valve 3 g o via line 24 to the burner. The valve 3 is shown in greater detail in FIGS. 2 and 3.
The flow of the gas in the valve 3 from the space 12 to the line 24 is controlled by the valve controller 19. Valve disk 19 is connected to a diaphragm 23 which is pressurized by a weight 20 and which is accommodated in a housing 25. The pressure chamber 15 is located below the membrane 23.
This is connected on the one hand to the part of the line 24 located behind the valve disk 19 via the channel 6, nozzle 14 and bore 21 and on the other hand to the control valve 9 via channel 26 and line 10. About this gas from the room 12 via the Boh tion 13 and the push button valve 22, when this is opened by pressing the button 11 ge, get into the channel 21 and through the nozzle 14 into the pressure chamber 15 of the membrane 23.
The friction element 18, which is rotatably mounted in the housing 9 and firmly connected to the spindle of the flap 6, has a connecting channel 17 which, until just before the flap is fully open, between the line 10 and the off-now-16, which in the Geli.äuse 9 is arranged, establishes a connection. Connection channel 1 7 is atiguoi-dnet like this:
and designed that opening 16 respectively. Line 10 is only closed when the flap 6 is fully open, while channel 17 and thus: line 10 with the 1) opening 16 communicate things when the flap 6 is not fully open. At the bottom of the flap 6, as can be seen from FIG. 1, a lever 8, which acts on the flap 6 via C stays 7, is used.
The bearings of the lever 8 and the rod 7 are arranged in the train interrupter 5.
The @ \ 'irkungs @@ - ice of the device is now the following: The gas passes through the line 12 and bore 13 with the push button valve 22 open in channel 21 and from there. through nozzle 11 via channel 6 into pressure chamber 15.
The one on the other side. the chamber 27 located inside is connected to the outside air by means of off-now-28. An overpressure can only build up in the chamber 15 if the line 1.0 is closed by the valve 18.
This in turn is only the case when, as described above, the flap (i is fully open, because then the opening 16 is closed. Only now does the gas pressure itself raise the membrane 23 and thus the valve disk 19, whereby the Gasdureligang to apparatus 4 is released.
The condition for gas to get into the apparatus at all is such that the flap 6 is completely opened by actuating the lever 8 and the pressure valve 11, 22 is also actuated. Since the gas flowing into the chamber 15 amount by the.
Narrow nozzle 14 is limited, with the smallest movement of the flap, the CTasdritek sinks under the membrane, and the valve disk 19 sinks under the influence of its own weight and the load 20 onto its valve seat.
If the exhaust gas shut-off device is left in the closed state when the heater is started up, the valve 19 cannot be opened in spite of pressing the button 11, since the connection via the line 10, the channel 17 and the opening 16 with it the outside air no pressure can arise in the membrane chamber 15.
The gas therefore does not reach the heater and commissioning is therefore made impossible. For correct actuation it is therefore necessary to open the shut-off device 6 for the time being or. the control device 9 to close. Now when the button 11 is pressed, the gas pressure generated in the chamber 15 can open the valve and the gas reaches the: heater.
When the valve disk 19 is open, the push button 11 is released because the gas required for the Ö.ffnuagsdruck can ge long through the bore 21 in the diaphragm chamber 15.
The deficiencies inherent in the previous exhaust gas shut-off devices have been remedied by the above construction. The direct connection of the flap 6 to the control element 9, the position of which controls the opening or closing of the valve 3, also ensures correct functioning of the device in the event of the rod 7 breaking.
The automatic actuation: of the valve 3 does not allow any intervention from the outside, so that the heater can really only be put into operation when the exhaust flap is fully open. The arrangement of the transverse channel 17 can be made in such a way that the outlet opening 16 is not closed until the exhaust line is fully open.
The gas shut-off valve also acts as a safety device, i.e. if there is no gas pressure, the valve 19 closes due to the lack of pressure in the chamber 15. When the gas flows back in, the flow to the apparatus is blocked by the valve disk 19, so that no gas can pass through the possibly open fitting of the heater flows to the burner.
The gas supply valve can also be designed as a gas pressure regulator or be provided with a known design. It is also possible to combine the device with a bimetallic fuse to prevent unburned gases from flowing out.
