Additional patent to the main patent no. 230265. Process for the production of a biacylimidsr It has been found that a new class of acidic wool dyes of the anthraquinone series is obtained if such anthraquinone descendants, which are interchangeable in at least one α-position, respectively. Contain reactive substituents, brings acylimides containing amino groups in the molecule to the reaction.
Main patent no. 230265 relates to a process for the preparation of a diacylimide, which is characterized in that 1-amino-4-bromo-anthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid or its salts are reacted with 3-amino-benzenesulfone-benzenesulfonimide. The resulting reaction product represents a new wool dye.
It has been found that a further diacylimide which can be used as a dye is obtained if a 1-amino-2-methylanthraquinone, which contains an exchangeable residue in the 4-position that is split off during condensation, is mixed with 5-amino-2 -methyl-benzenesulfon-naphthalene-1'-sulfone imide converts.
The new compound obtained is a water-soluble blue powder which melts at 165 ° C. with decomposition.
The residues that split off during the reaction and are therefore no longer present in the end product can be, for example, Br, Cl, OH, OR (atomic residue) and <B> NO, </B>. The reaction is expediently carried out in the presence of acid-binding agents. It is also advisable to use reaction accelerators and to work in solvents.
<I> Example: </I> 25 parts by weight of 1-amino-2-methyl-4-bromo-anthraquinone, 36 parts by weight of 5-amino-2-methylbenzenesulfon-naphthalene-1'-sulfonimide, 15 parts by weight of anhydrous potassium carbonate, 15 parts by weight of anhydrous Sodium acetate, 2 parts by weight of copper acetate, 2 parts by weight of copper bronze, 300 parts by volume of amyl alcohol and 30 parts by volume of amyl acetate are heated to 165-180 ° C. in an autoclave for 18 hours.
After the amyl alcohol had been blown off, the dyestuff formed was purified by reprecipitation twice with sodium chloride and then the aqueous solution of the dyestuff was shaken out with xylene until the xylene remained colorless. The aqueous dye solution was boiled with the addition of a small amount of aluminum oxide and filtered, whereupon the dye is precipitated with hydrochloric acid.
The dye formed is obtained in the form of a blue powder which melts at 165 ° C. with decomposition. The new dye has good wet fastness properties, in particular fullness.
