Zusatzpatent zum FIauptpatent Nr. 228983. Verfahren zur Darstellung eines aromatischen Carbonsäureamids. Das vorliegende Patent betrifft ein Ver fahren zur Darstellung von Sa.licoyl-2-amino- thi@azal, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, ,dass man 2-A@minathiazol und Salicy lsäure- chlorid aufeinander einwirken lässt.

Die neue Verbindung soll als Ausgangsstoff für die Herstellung von therapeutischen: Pro dukten und ;als Konservierungsmittel Ver- ivendung finden.
Lösung wird vom entstandenen, in Benzol schwer löslichen Reaktionsprodukt aIgegos- sen, das Reaktionsprodukt in verdünnter Salzsäure gelflst, mit überschüssigem Ammo niak ausgefällt und aus Alkohol fraktioniert umkristallisiert. Der in Alkohol leicht lösliche Anteil wird mehrmals aus Alkohol um kristallisiert.
Das so erhaltene S#alicoy1-2- ninotliiazol sintert bei 250 und schmilzt <B>,</B> a#r unter Braunfärbung bei 257 (korr.). Es be sitzt die Formel

The new compound is to be used as a starting material for the manufacture of therapeutic products and as a preservative.
The resulting reaction product, which is sparingly soluble in benzene, is poured into a solution, the reaction product is dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid, precipitated with excess ammonia and fractionally recrystallized from alcohol. The portion that is easily soluble in alcohol is recrystallized several times from alcohol.
