Plant for grinding grain. The subject of the present invention of Mr. Hermann Seiler is a plant for grinding grain using milling machines. What is new is that the products from the grinding machines are pneumatically fed to a separator, for example with a fan, whereby all or only some of the grinding machines in a system can be connected to a common fan.
This advantageously sucks the ground material out of the grinding machines; the fresh air that is entrained cools the grinding machines and gives off heat to the flour, which is thereby conditioned. Automatically acting means can be provided in the airways, with which the amount of air conveyed by each grinding machine can be regulated in accordance with the amount of grinding product produced.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically, specifically showing: FIGS. 1 and 2 a side view, FIG. 3 a plan view; 4 and 5 show a second embodiment in side view and in plan. In the system according to FIGS. 1-3, a pipe 2 is connected to the lower part of a milling machine 1, which leads to a separator 3 upwards. The sieves 4 known per se are connected to the separators 3.
The separators 3 are connected with lines 5 to the suction side of a common fan 6.
The flour supplied by the grinding machines 1 is conveyed up through the tubes 2 into the separator 3 and then goes to the sieve, etc. Fresh air is sucked in with the flour. This air cools them. Rolls of the grinding machines and transfers their heat to the flour as it goes through the tubes 2 to the separator 3.
According to experience, this heating of the flour increases the good baking properties of the flour and replaces a special work process, namely the conditioning of the flour. For example, an automatically opening flap or the like can be installed in the lines 2 or at another point in the suction line, which allows additional air to enter when there is an increased flow of ground material in order to keep the temperature and humidity of the conveying air at the same level as the Experience has shown that flour gives it the best baking properties.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4 and a pneumatic conveyor system is shown schematically in which the conveyed material is conveyed by means of a fan 10. The delivery line 13 is connected to the pressure side of the fan. The conveyed material passes from the grinding machine 1 via a lock 14 into the line 13. The suction side of the fan 10 is connected to the separator 12 by means of line 15. The air used for conveying returns to the fan, i.e. it is circulated through the separator and fan.
