Process and system for treating the gases for engines produced by Ilolzgas generators. The subject matter of the present invention is a method (and a system for treating the gases produced by wood gas generators for motors).
According to the present invention, the gases are sequentially passed through at least three devices for solid and liquid cleaning agents, two of which are attached to the generator, whereupon the gases are supplied with additional air in a controllable amount before they pass the starting fan.
The system is designed in such a way that two centrifugal separators are attached to the jacket of the gas generator itself, while the third centrifugal separator is provided with a water seal and a fil% r, which also holds very fine dust. The separators are advantageously provided with easily removable dust collecting vessels,
which facilitate quick and thorough cleaning and simplify operation.
In the drawing, an embodiment of a system according to the invention is shown schematically, namely in Fig. 1 in a view and in Fig. 2 'a part thereof in section. On the jacket of the gas generator 1, which can be of a known type,
two centrifugal separators 2 and 3 are attached. The gases obtained from the generator flow in sequence through the separators 2, 3 and a third separator 4, which is provided with a water reservoir 5.
The gases flow in the separator 4 through a Tuoh filter @ 6, which eids the last fine dust parts. The gases then flow from the water seal 5 through a cooler 7 to a fan B.
The electrically driven fan is only in operation for the duration of the generator's shutdown process. As soon as flammable gas is detected in the blower line 2 7, the engine is started while the fan is running, then the relevant flaps in the line are switched ,
i.e. flap 2 $ closed and flaps 29 and 9 opened as required, and the fan shut down. This arrangement facilitates the starting process,
by forcing the gas mixture required to start the engine directly into the engine. The engine now sucks the gases out of the generator 1 and also takes additional air through the control flap 9,
which is installed between the cooler 7 and the fan $. The gas / air mixture then passes through the line 10 and the engine inlet 11 into the engine cylinder. The separators 2, 3 are built in the same way.
Each of these centrifugal separators (FIG. 2) has a cylindrical chamber 14 which is open at the bottom and closed at the top.
In the chamber 14 there is provided a cone 13 which widens from the bottom upwards and which is attached to the gas discharge line 15 or 25 (Fig. 1 )
is connected. Near the upper end of the chamber 1.1 opens in the tangential direction, the gas supply line 16 respectively. 26 in chamber 14.
At the lower end of the chamber 14, the dust collector 20 is attached bar. A tube 19 open at the top and bottom is also arranged at the lower end of the chamber 14,
into which the cone 13 protrudes. In the intermediate space between the wall 18 and the tube 19, a guide rail 17 running in a screw is provided. The respectively from line 16. 26 gases flowing in in the tangential direction and through a narrowed cross-section at increased speed hurl the contaminants against the walls
and the screw serves to promote the rotation of the gases in the separator. Also, due to the abrupt deflection of the gas flow, dust falls down, while the gases respectively through line 15. 25 pull off. When the gases come into contact with the cold walls of the separators 2, 3, the gases are cooled.
Water condenses, which binds part of the solid impurities to itself. The water collects at the bottom in the headers 20; these can easily be removed and cleaned.
The pre-cleaned gases flowing out of the first separator 2 through the line 15 are cleaned further in the second centrifugal separator 3 and cooled further. The finest subjects will then:
still through the cloth filter 6 in the third. Retain separator 4. The gases now cleaned in this way pass through the cooler 7 and are thus given the temperature that is most favorable for the engine.
The cooler has relatively small dimensions due to the cooling that is already well advanced in the separators and can also be switched on or off to maintain a certain gas temperature.
The additional air is supplied through the flap 9 in an adjustable amount.
The separation of the impurities from the gases is made easier in the separators 2, 3, 4,
that the gases in each of them undergo a sharp change of direction. The whole system takes up little space. It is easy to assemble and easy to use.
