Method for fastening the reeds of reed frequency meters.
The natural oscillation frequency of the reeds of reed frequency meters is known to be proportional to the square of the reed length, so that even the smallest changes in length become noticeable as an influence on the frequency. This means that the tongues have to be attached with great care. The usual soldering in of the tongues has the disadvantage that the tongues can be damaged by the soldering process. The clamping devices that have become known are unsatisfactory for manufacturing reasons, because either precisely fitting clamping jaws have to be produced or otherwise precision parts are required which greatly increase the production costs.
The present invention aims to eliminate these shortcomings of the previously known types of fastening. According to the invention, in at least one metal carrier plate a. At least one U-shaped incision is made in the fastening point of the tongue in the flap, the resulting flap is bent out of the plane of the plate, the tongue is inserted into the opening formed in front of the end of the flap and the flap is bent back into the plane of the plate.
In the accompanying drawing, the method according to the invention is explained below with the aid of some exemplary embodiments.
According to FIG. 1A, the tongue a to be fastened is inserted into the opening of a sheet metal plate b, which was created by producing a U-shaped incision and bending the tab c formed in this way out of the plane of the plate. If pressure is now exerted on the tab c in the direction of the arrow, the tab c is pressed back into its original place in the plane of the plate (FIG. 1B). Since part of the space is already filled by the tongue a, the compressive stress that occurs will partly lead to the compression of the flap, as shown in FIG. 1C. The rest is absorbed by the D-material between the tongue as elastic tension and holds the tongue in place.
When several tongues are arranged in alignment, the tabs can be cut into the support plate b either simultaneously or one after the other with a tool.
To increase the holding strength, especially in the direction of the tongue width, a second, exactly identical plate b 'with a punched-out tab c' can be applied at a certain distance from the plate b, as shown in FIG. The tongue a is inserted into the stamped U-shaped incisions and the tabs c and c 'have been pushed back into the plane of the plate, namely simultaneously c from above and c' from below. The two plates b and b 'are in some way, e.g. B. by means of screws, rivets and the like attached to an intermediate plate d. The two metal plates b and b ', which are identical to one another, could also be the legs of a single U-shaped bent sheet metal.
