Description

      Dichtring.

       Fig.    1 zeigt einen     Querschnitt,          Fig.    2 einen Grundriss eines     Dichtringes,     bei dem die Füllmasse a in     einem    hohlen  dünnen     Blechring    e von     U-förmigem        Quer-          in    liegt;           Fig.    3 zeigt als zweites Ausführungsbei  spiel im Querschnitt einen     ringwul:stförmigen     Dichtring, bei dem die Dichtmasse a. in einen  hohlen über seinen ganzen Umfang geschlos  senen oder nahezu     geschlossenen    dünnen  Metallring untergebracht ist;

         Fig. .I ist eine Draufsicht zu Fig. 3. Bei dieser Ausführungsform wird zweckmässig die Fuge c, die entweder stumpf gestossen oder auch überplattet sein kann, so angeord net, dass sie bei angewandter Dichtung von einer der Diehtfläehen überdeckt wird.

       Fig. 5 zeigt ein solches Anwendungsbei spiel im Längsschnitt. Der Dichtring ist hierbei zwischen zwei Endflächen von Roh ren d bezw. e untergebracht und wird in an sich bekannter Weise durch eine Überwurf- hülse f und eine in ein Innengewinde der selben eingeschraubte Ringmutter g zusam- mengedrückt.

      Sealing ring. The invention is a sealing ring for sealing parts that are exposed to high temperatures. It consists of a sheet metal jacket and a filling made of mineral material. The filler consists of a fine powder of at least one fatty, flaky mineral, and this filler is pressed into the space enclosed by the jacket.

       Such a mineral substance is preferably used which, due to its fat content, possibly also due to the additional content of 01 or bitumen or of bound water at high temperatures instead of lagging behind the thermal expansion of the metal or even sintering ,. that strives to expand.

  Taleum is particularly suitable, e.g. B. known as soapstone talc, which has the property that it is pressed in powder form into a body, when heated to about 400 grows or. expands to such an extent that, when used as a sealant, it still guarantees a gas-tight seal at such high temperatures up to a pressure of 50 and more atmospheres.

  This filler in itself already results in relatively good heat dissipation. To increase this heat dissipation capacity, graphite powder is conveniently mixed with it.

  The sheet metal jacket can be made of thin copper or soft isenblech. It is preferably closed. In special orders, for example when the sealing ring is arranged sunk into corresponding recesses, the jacket can also be open on one side in a known manner.

  Two exemplary embodiments are shown in the accompanying drawing, along with a particular application example.

       1 shows a cross-section, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of a sealing ring in which the filling compound a lies in a hollow, thin sheet-metal ring e of a U-shaped transverse direction; Fig. 3 shows as a second Ausführungsbei game in cross section an annular bead: st-shaped sealing ring, in which the sealing compound a. is housed in a hollow over its entire circumference closed or almost closed thin metal ring;

         Fig. I is a plan view of Fig. 3. In this embodiment, the joint c, which can either be butted or covered with a plate, is arranged so that it is covered by one of the die surfaces when the seal is applied.

       Fig. 5 shows such an application example in longitudinal section. The sealing ring is here between two end faces of Roh ren d respectively. e and is pressed together in a manner known per se by a union sleeve f and an annular nut g screwed into an internal thread of the same.
