Electrically heatable heat source.
The subject of the present invention is an electrically heatable heat dispenser, which has rod-shaped heating elements arranged parallel to one another and in which heating elements are installed.
Known electrically heatable heat emitters such. B. Oven, foot warmers, hot plates and the like, consist essentially of a helically wound resistance wire, which is placed on a heat-resistant, insulating plate, e. B. made of Eternit, is arranged, these heating elements in a container, for. B. a metal cladding, respectively. are permanently installed in a frame.
Such built heat donors respectively. Because of their indirect type of heating, radiators require H. Relatively large amounts of energy via the air sweeping past them, especially when used as heating plates, e.g. B. Foot warmers. One has therefore proposed in particular for the production of FuBwärmern to arrange the heating elements isolated between plates so that, for. For example, by placing the fluid on plates heated in this way, a direct heat transfer takes place, so that less energy is required. Such heat donors, which can be used as foot warmers and hot plates, have the disadvantage that the lower side of the plate gives off its heat to the surrounding air and the air thus heated is diverted to the side of the plate without being used.
The present invention now aims to eliminate the mentioned shortcomings in that the radiators with the built-in heating elements are rod-shaped and arranged parallel to each other, whereby the air heated from the underside and between the radiators is no longer directed away from the heat dispenser, but between the individual radiators rise and the body on it, z. B. the f ¯ can supply heat, as an additional heat effect for direct heat transfer through the radiator.
Tests have shown that, thanks to this design and arrangement of the individual radiators, heat dispensers, especially forearms, can be produced which, with the same heating effect, only use a fraction of the energy required. B. cause against known heating plates with similar uses.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown in various forms of use.
Fig. 1 illustrates a side view of the heat dispenser, which is arranged in a frame and can be used as a foot warmer, partially in section.
FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the embodiment according to FIG. partly in cut.
Fig. 3 shows a cross section through two adjacent rod-shaped heating elements and through the fuse organ. ne of the heat source.
FIG. 4 illustrates the top view of the parts shown in FIG. 3.
Fig. 5 shows the heat dispenser rolled, for. B. can be used as a bed warmer with two retaining plates and
6 shows the same in side view, partly in section.
7 illustrates the heat dispenser, which has been brought into a horizontal position and can be used as a hot plate, in a side view with a partial section.
Fig. 8 shows the spring fuse of the heat dispenser in side view.
In the ready-to-use state as a foot warmer according to FIG. 1, the heat dispenser is arranged in a frame 1, in such a way that the individual rod-shaped heating elements 3 are inserted into a groove 2 attached to the two side parts of the frame.
The individual heating elements 3 are each held together by a steel band 4 connecting the ends of the rod-shaped heating element by means of screws 5, so that they can be rolled into a hollow cylinder. The heating wire 6, which is wound onto a fire-resistant body 7, is accommodated in the heating elements 3. An insulating asbestos cover 8 is placed between this heating element 7 and the inner wall of the rod-shaped heating element 3. The rivets 9 and liner washers 10, to which the flexible power supply cable 11 is connected, which establishes the power supply between the individual heating elements, serve as connection elements for the heating wires.
The ends of the rod-shaped heating elements are designed in such a way that the insulating pieces 32 with the intermediate supply elements 11 and 25 respectively. 28, and since the steel strip 4 can be accommodated in it and can be fixed by means of the visual hoods 5. The heat dispenser is equipped with a temperature regulator 12 which is fastened to one of the rod-shaped heating elements by means of screws 13, which are made of insulating material in two ways.
A connection plate 14 has connection elements 15 and 16 for the plug-in cable and a terminal 17 which is connected to the support 19 of the spring fuse by means of the connection cable 18. The spring wire 20 is soldered to the carrier 19 on one end with hard solder and on the other end to the carrier 21 with an easily fusible special solder. The spring wire 20 is so stretched that it tends to move away from the carrier 21.
The supports 19 and 20 are screwed onto the heating element 3 with the screws 33, which expediently consist of insulating material. A connection 22 leads from the carrier 21 to the connection 24 and from this via the contacts of the temperature controller to the bimetallic strip which actuates these contacts. A connection leads from this bimetallic strip to the connection contact 24. The contact 24 of the temperature controller 12 is through the flexible cable 25 with one end of the heating plate, which is formed by the rod-shaped heating bodies. at the connection point 26 conductively connected.
A flexible cable 28 leads from the terminal 27 of the contact plate 14 to the connection 29 of the heating plate.
The regulator 12, the contact plate 14 and the spring fuse 19, 20 and 21 are protected by a hood 30 against touching the live parts. The hood 30 is secured by means of two screws 31, which are expediently made of insulating material. screwed onto one of the radiators 3.
To use this heat emitter as a bed warmer according to FIGS. 5 and 6, it is rolled into a hollow cylinder and held in this shape by means of the two holding plates 34 and 35, which each have a circular groove 36 on the inside for receiving the rod-shaped heating elements. The plug cable can be guided through a recess 42 in the plate 34.
The use of the heat dispenser as a hot plate, e.g. B. for the purpose of keeping food warm, FIG. 7 shows. The hot plate formed by the radiators 3 is pushed into the grooves 2 of the frame 1 and the latter is held in a horizontal position by two folded-out supports 38. The screws 39 and 40 serve to fix the limit positions of these supports 38.
The temperature regulator 12 is dimensioned such that it interrupts the circuit when it reaches a temperature of approx. 70 ° C. and closes the same again when the temperature drops below approx. 60 ° C. In the event that this temperature controller should not work as a result of a malfunction, the spring fuse acts as a further safety device, in such a way that when a temperature of 100 C is reached, the solder mass on the carrier 21 melts and through the spring wire 20 of the Current is switched off single-pole. These precautions prevent damage to the heater due to overheating.
To use this heat dispenser in the rolled state as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 as a bed warmer, it is advisable to place it in a sack made of water-impermeable fabric. In this roll form, this warming device also provides a bed warmer with a relatively low energy requirement compared to known similar heat dispensers, not only because of the large effective heating surface,
but also through the better heat distribution made possible by this shape. The present inventive heat dispenser is therefore not only able to satisfy nigfache uses and to switch off special devices for these individual uses, but it also enables significant energy savings.
