Device for fixing panels in a building assembly. The present invention relates to a device for fixing panels such as wall panels, covering or covering panels, insulating panels in a building assembly, with a view, for example, to the establishment of ceilings, vortices. , walls, etc.
According to the invention, this device is characterized by a profiled beam having at least two branches perpendicular to one another, one of which has holes spaced from one another and intended to receive wedges themselves intended to apply the panels against the other branch of this profiled beam.
When it comes to establishing a ceiling, several T-shaped fasteners can be provided, suitably spaced from each other, and the panel sections be placed between each pair of T-shaped members. <B> T </B> and wedged to them along two opposite sides, as will be understood.
The invention can also be applied to the bars of glazed roofs, in order to fix panels on similar roofs to attenuate or suppress the light as described later.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention, as well as two variant details.
Fig. 1 is a side elevational view of the assembly of the first embodiment; Fig. 2 is "an end view, partly in section, of this first embodiment; Figs. 3 and 4 are views analogous to Fig. 1, illustrating two variant details; Fig. 5 is an elevational view. end, in section, showing the second embodiment, of which part 6 is a side view.
In the embodiment shown on the fié. 1 and 2, a beam 7, of section in <B> T, </B> comprising: slots 8 in its vertical branch, is fixed to a purlin or wooden joist 9, using a bracket 10, conformed to <B> L. </B> The beam 7 extends across a ceiling or similar construction element, and it is secured to each purlin or joist. or to as many purlins or joists as necessary, by similar brackets 10.
The ceiling or the like may be provided with a series of suitably spaced <B> T, </B> beams 7, sections of panels 11 being laid between each pair of T-beams, </ B> with their edges placed in the angle of the <B> T. </B> The sections of panels are secured or wedged against the horizontal branches of the beams by a series of wedges 12 engaged in the slots 8 of the worm branches. ticals of the beams, behind or above the panels. The. Trusted. 1 shows the wedges 12 set up in a single beam, the panel 11 being indicated in dotted lines, while the fié. 2 shows the corners attaching two sections of panels 11 arranged on each side of the beam 7, which thus forms a support member.
As the wedges pass through the slots in the web or vertical branch of the beam, each wedge serves to secure the pair of panels arranged with one of the panels on either side of the vertical leg of the beam, and it will be understood that this arrangement is carried out over the entire extent of the coated construction. If desired, a strip of suitable material can be placed on the edge of the panel adjacent to the web or vertical branch of the beam 7, the wedges 12 acting on this strip to distribute the pressure along the edge of the panel. .
In the assembly, it is preferable to fasten the consoles 10 to the purlins or joists by the. screw or top nail only, so that the beam 7 can be tilted outward to lay out or make. penetrate the edge of the panel, and then brought back

<tb> a <SEP> T <SEP> reversed <SEP> for <SEP> to match <SEP> with <SEP> them
<tb> other <SEP> beams <SEP> employed. <SEP> From <SEP> this <SEP> way,
<tb> when <SEP> the <SEP> corners <SEP> are <SEP> introduced, <SEP> they <SEP> will keep <SEP> the <SEP> section <SEP> of <SEP> panel <SEP> against <SEP> the <SEP> plate
<tb> of <SEP> cover.
Preferably, the arrangement adopted is that shown, in which the slotted beams, <B> T </B> or the like, are applied against the ceiling or the like with their vertical branches adjacent to the ceiling, so that the corners are placed behind the panel sections and are invisible when the panels are in place.
<B> It </B> is possible, however, to provide arrangements in which the T-beams are arranged with the horizontal branches of the adjacent <B> T </B> to the ceiling or the like, in which case the corners are visible on the front or face of the panels, and can subsequently be hidden by appropriate bands, if desired. Instead of being fixed directly to the ceiling or the like, the beams can of course be secured to other elements attached to the ceiling or the like.
The beams can be established using sheet metal, wood, or any other suitable material. They can be constituted by rolled profiles in <B> T, L </B> or <B> I </B> or by profiles with grooves or edges. The corners can be formed from wood, metal or any other material desired.
The slots made in the branches of the beams or profiles, intended to receive the corners, can accommodate any conforma tions and dimensions, and can be provided at regular or other intervals, and at a uniform height or at variable heights along the branches of the beams.
The ceiling, wall or the like to be established can be a flat or curved surface, as will be understood.
Figs. 5 and 6 show the application of the second embodiment to a glazed roof with a view to suppressing or attenuating the light.
A glazing bar 20, of the usual type, supports the panes 21 of the roof. A slotted beam,: in <B> T, </B> 22a, similar to the beams 7 previously described, is fixed to the top of the bar: with glazing 20, using fasteners, each of which comprises a pair of side elements provided with flanges 22, 23, shaped as shown, with hooked ends 24, a clamping bolt 25 being passed through these elements, with a wing nut 26 engaged on the outer end of the bolt. The hooked ends, 24, are slid over the flanges of the beam 22a and the clip is secured to the top of the glazing bar 20 with the nut 26 and bolt 25, thus holding firmly the beam 22 in place.
The panel 11 and the corners 8 are then placed on the beam in the manner previously described. It is possible to imagine various forms of attachment, but it has been found that the one shown gives good results in practice.
It is obvious that thanks to the use of the invention, a glazed roof can be quickly and economically covered with panels when the circumstances so require.
