Bildwerfer.
Projector. It is known that when throwing images with an incandescent lamp and concave mirror, the central field of the mirror lying in the area of the optical axis of the projector is only used very poorly. The rays reflected there hit in part. the lamp bulb, which is destroyed by absorption and reflection.
The purpose of the present invention is to compensate for the resulting loss by placing two concave mirror strips between the light bulb and the image window, to the side of the main beam cone reflected back by the concave mirror, and two plane mirrors in the bulb shadow of the light bulb, so arranged and arranged so that each a pair of mirrors formed by a concave mirror strip and a plane mirror each emanating from the incandescent lamp but not striking the concave mirror:
Beam of rays, directed towards the picture window.
The otherwise unused light obtained in this way should expediently replace at least the light lost as a result of the bulb shadow.
The drawing shows an example embodiment of the subject invention.
FIG. 1 shows part of the projector in plan and FIG. 2 in the view from the Billdfenstar. By means of a concave mirror 1, the filaments of the incandescent lamp 3 having the shape of coils 2 are mapped into the picture window 4 of the picture projector.
The rays 5 indicate the delimitation of the resulting main ray cone, while the rays 6 indicate a part of this cone which, in the manner described above, contributes only little to the illumination due to the bulb shadow.
On both sides and outside of the main beam cone @, between the light bulb 3 and the image window 4, there are two concave mirror strips 7 which, together with the plane mirrors 8 in the bulb shadow, have two further bundles of rays emanating from the light bulb in the angular areas defined by the rays 9 in the form of a composite Direct the bundle 10 into the image window 4. A mirror pair formed from a concave mirror strip and a plane mirror comes into effect here.
It is preferable to arrange the two hollow mirror strips so that the bundle 10 formed from the two bundles of rays fills that angular portion of the main rays cone that is occupied by the piston shadow, as FIG. 1 shows.
In order to map the filaments of the lamp through the concave mirror strips into the image window or in its vicinity, the distance between the focal points (PP,) of each of the two concave mirror strips will be chosen to be smaller than that of the focal points (PP,) of the concave mirror.
It can be seen that P, P <P, Q -h- QP = P, P. With lamp types like the one in the drawing, the image ratio of the image conveyed by the concave mirror strip can turn smaller than that of the image conveyed by the concave mirror, because the cross-section of the lamp filament filament in the image only has to fill the image window through the beam 10 limited angle is smaller than the limited angle by the rays 5. The resulting smaller image is. but then lighter by the same amount.
The two concave mirror strips could also have a finely wavy, irregularly grained mirror surface, provided that the image of the light source is required in the image window. But it is also possible to image in a lens, also together with other lens optics.
