Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     esterartigen    Kondensationsproduktes.    Es     wurde        gefunden,    dass man ein wert  volles     esterartiges    Kondensationsprodukt er  hält, wenn man     Octadecylchlormethyläther     der     Formel       <B>C1837</B>. O .     CH2Cl       mit einem essigsauren     Alkalimetallsalz    zur  Umsetzung bringt.  



  Das entstandene     esterartige        Konden-          sationsprodukt    hat die Formel         Ci8H37.   <B>0</B>.     CH,.        OCOCHs       und ist eine farblose     niedrigschmelzende     wasserunlösliche Masse, die sich in organi  schen     Lösungsmitteln    leicht auflöst.  



  Die Umsetzung wird     zweckmässig    so aus  geführt, dass man die     Chlormethylverbindung     in einem organischen     Lösungsmittel    mit dem  essigsauren     Alkalisalz    erwärmt, das aus  geschiedene anorganische Salz     abfiltriert    und  das     Lösungsmittel    verdampft. Das Produkt  kann zum     Wasserabweisendmachen    von     Fa-          serstoffes    dienen.  



       Beispiel:     Man versetzt eine Lösung von 77 Ge  wichtsteilen     techn.    Octadecyl-chlormethyl-           äther    in 400 Gewichtsteilen     Methylenchlorid     mit 30     Gewichtsteilen    wasserfreiem     Kalium-          acetat    und     erhitzt    10     Stunden    unter Rühren  zum Sieden.

   Das gebildete     KCl    wird     abfil-          triert    und das     Lösungsmittel        abdestilliert.     Zur     Reinigung    wird der erhaltene Ester aus  Methanol     umkristallisiert.    Er stellt eine farb  lose,     niedrigschmelzende    Masse dar.

       Example: A solution of 77 parts by weight of techn. Octadecyl chloromethyl ether in 400 parts by weight of methylene chloride with 30 parts by weight of anhydrous potassium acetate and heated to the boil for 10 hours while stirring.

   The KCl formed is filtered off and the solvent is distilled off. For purification, the ester obtained is recrystallized from methanol. It is a colorless, low-melting mass.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines esterarti- gen Kondensationsproduktes, dadurch ge kennzeichnet, dass man Octadecylchlormethyl- äther mit einem essigsauren Alkalimetallsalz zur Umsetzung bringt.
